Following tonal iterations, a special edition Coca-Cola adidas Climacool 1 is now making its way towards select retailers nationwide.

Similar to its limited edition counterpart for the 2002 FIFA World Cup with a predominantly red upper, the golden accents for this 2016 version are only applied on the inner lining and tongue tab, while the original design displayed the detail on its three-stripe motif as well.

Essentially defined by its breathable mesh upper which allows air circulation throughout its upper, innersole and outsole, the low-top runner is detailed with the iconic carbonated soft drink company’s logo on the heel tab and insoles. Additionally, the branded insoles showcase a soccer ball motif which further correlates this updated model as a homage to its original 2002 release.

Essentially paying tribute to Damian Lillard?s hometown MLB baseball club — the Oakland Athletics — the sneaker is clearly shaded in the team’s signature colors.

Bright green covers the entire upper composition alongside piping on the midsole, while subtle yellow accents are intertwined along the component, while it’s more prominent on the inner lateral portion, branding on the tongue and heel.

Truth be told, the only thing that prevents me from mistaking this pair of kicks we’re featuring today for your typical adidas Pure Boost sneakers is the silver Busenitz name stitched onto the tongue and lateral side. And considering the high praise we’ve heaped upon the adidas Pure Boost around the KoF office since they first launched a few years back, I’d say that’s a compliment to the adidas Busenitz Pure Boost Grey sample that fell into our laps a few days ago.

Since we’re being honest here (although when are we not, right?), I would be lying if I professed to being an expert in skate shoe culture and having great knowledge of the impact Dennis Busenitz has had in the sport. But what I do know is that Boost technology has a played a huge role in the turnaround of the three stripes and one of my personal favorites to come out of that is the adidas Pure Boost. So to bring those two silhouettes together means that the Busenitz is raising the bar for adidas Skateboarding.

After being delivered in the most nondescript of ways, the latest colorway of the Busenitz Pure Boost is a mixture of Busenitz’s signature kicks, which is inspired by the classic adidas Copa Mundial soccer boot, and the aforementioned Pure Boost. It’s such a confluence of influences and tech that really anybody can wear these as a casual pair and know that it’s one of the best out there for comfort but it will be up to the skate community to determine if it’s something that is worth the price tag ($130) considering that the original Busenitz can be had for half that at many retailers.

This isn’t the first time a sneaker has grabbed inspiration from the famous print found on the carpet of the Portland International Airport, but this is definitely the first time the inspiration is used on the adidas D Lillard 2.

The adidas D Lillard 2 PDX Carpet has a more subtle look compared to other past models rocking the PDX Carpet look. The inspiration is found on the minty green translucent outsole, which appears to be the same color found on the PDX carpet. As far as the rest of the shoe goes, the upper comes in a Soft Grey and White colorway, with hits of red found on the branding and eyelets. Would you have liked to see more color used to better suit the inspiration, or is the shoe fine as is? Rumored to release sometime in August, let us know what you think in the comments below.

Today we came across a brand new colorway of the shoe and this pair appears to already be available. Let’s get a close and detailed look at the adidas Tubular Nova Primeknit Black / Grey.

Opting to take the tonal route, the shoe rocks a Primeknit upper coming in Black and Grey. The Primeknit construction is accompanied by the neoprene and suede paneling placed on the cage and heel counter. Whenever the FedEx or UPS delivery truck shows up at the KoF office, it’s always a good day. Admittedly, some days are more exciting than others because there’s always the element of surprise to these packages, but usually the delivery crew is holding the box without exerting too much effort to hand it over to us. This past Thursday was a little bit different though…

If you could see the struggle face on the FedEx driver, you knew that this box was going to be a hefty one. And I found out the hard way as I tried to hold both the box and my dog Swaggy, who has a penchant for running out the door whenever we get a delivery. Yes, I have a dog named Swaggy.

As it turns out, the big uh, foot locker was for the newly reissued adidas ClimaCool 1 and the box was a joint effort by the retailer and adidas Originals. Looks like the three stripes is doing all they can to get people aware and hyped for the lightweight runner. They’ve been able to string a series of hits together recently with their Flux and Tubular series, not to mention the EQT retros so why not try the cult classic?

If you were watching our Facebook Live unboxing, you’ll know that the tonal all-black colorway was not the most well-received of the bunch however. It will be interesting to see if the other colorways of the ClimaCool 1 will get a fair shake from the sneaker community.

The next stop in the adidas Consortium world tour this year is London, where the premium division of the Three Stripes collaborates with Footpatrol on the EQT Cushion 93. The London sneaker shop gives their very own look to the vintage runner featuring a mix of white, black, grey, and burgundy hues for a brand-new colorway that simultaneously looks like it could have been an OG colorway from 1993. The color palette was actually inspired by the vintage adidas London runner, and is constructed in nylon, mesh, pigskin suede, and synthetic nubuck. The excellent take on the silhouette drops tomorrow, April 23rd at Footpatrol and select adidas Consortium retailers worldwide.

Not too long ago we gave you a first look at the Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith Metallic Silver. If you were interested in picking up the shoe we have more images to show you today.

Dressed in a Metallic Silver upper, this Stan Smith takes things to a whole new level in comparison to its more casual white leather releases. The entire upper on this pair is covered in a glossy silver hue with the only hits of contrast coming on the branding on the tongue and heel as well as the rubber sole unit which are all done in white. A perforated ?R? logo has also been placed on the side panels for Raf Simons instead of the traditional three stripes branding.
