A What The Colorway of The Air Jordan 1 May Be Releasing This Year

A rumor surfaced today that there will be a “What The” colorway of the Air Jordan 1.

This mash-up version of the Air Jordan 1 will reportedly feature a “Bred” toe, “Chicago” mid and “Royal” heel putting together the three most popular colorways of the shoe all into one. There is no release information or pricing yet but once more information is available we will be sure to get that to you.

What are your thoughts on this potential What The Air Jordan 1? Is it a good idea or has the idea/colorway been overdone by Nike?

Note: The image above was photoshopped by @kickposters since images of the real pair are not available yet.

Author’s Take

I’m not really sure what to think if this is true. I’ll save my judgment until we see pictures of the real pair that will be releasing.

Air Jordan 4 Knicks Releasing Exclusively For Kids

The Air Jordan 4 is already off to an awesome start to the new year thanks to the ‘Nike Air’ branding found on All-Star Weekend’s “White/Cement” 4s release and an “Alternate ’89” release that showed new takes on the Chicago-theme could still be found in 2016. But how will the Jumpman follow up those two releases for the kids? How about a rather Knicks-centric colorway? This White/Hyper Orange-Deep Royal Blue combination manages to captivate thanks to a familiar combination for Gotham’s main basketball club that keeps things classy with a Wolf Grey toecap for some added depth. While we’d love to see a full family size run, this grade school exclusive will hit retailers on March 9th, 2016 for $140 USD. Check out more detailed shots below and stay tuned for more Jordan release date updates right here on Sneaker News.

The Air Jordan 10 Chicago Flag Drops This Spring

Air Jordan 10 Chicago Flag 1 Air Jordan 10 Chicago Flag 2 Air Jordan 10 Chicago Flag 3 Air Jordan 10 Chicago Flag 4 Air Jordan 10 Chicago Flag 5

The Spring and Summer are when we typically see sneaker brands release their most colorful shoes that catch our attention the most. Not that colorful kicks aren’t release all year long, but things get extra flashy when the weather is hot.

Releasing this Spring as a part of the Air Jordan 10 City Pack that features four different colorways is this flashy colorway of the Air Jordan 10. Drawing inspiration from the city and specifically the flag of Chicago, this Air Jordan 10 features White leather throughout the majority of the upper with University Blue and Bright Crimson detailing on the tongue, laces, eyestay, ankle, outsole, the Jumpman branding on the heel and the “CHI” writing by the ankle. Capping things off is a Black inner liner.

Look for this Chicago-inspired colorway of the Air Jordan 10 to release on May 14th for $190. Also make sure you head over to our Air Jordan 10 Chicago Flag launch page for the latest images and information regarding this release.

Author?s Take

The only reason I would pick up this pair of 10s is if I were from the city of Chicago or lived there because the inspiration/theme looks to be on point. But since I don?t these are a pass for me.

Winging It: A Closer Look At The Air Jordan Poster Collection

“It’s all in the imagination” are the final lines of that classic Air Jordan 2 commercial featuring the beautiful rock-a-bye-baby dunk that MJ made famous. Imagination is also used in the “Wing It” poster that would serve as the inspiration for the eponymous new Air Jordan 2 colorway that is dropping this weekend. The greatness of Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan line is that we rarely have to imagine for too long because either MJ pulled off whatever crazy move we were thinking of in our minds or Jordan Brand is already in the lab thinking of different ways to breathe new life into these iconic silhouettes. This year has already seen the release of different “packed” takes on retros like the Alternate and the Dunk From Above collections, and the Air Jordan 2 Wing It is the second half of the Poster collection, alongside the Air Jordan 12 The Master.

As it turns out, there is a common thread between the two posters, and in turn, the two sneakers, and that they both revel in what is possible. You know, imagination. The Wing It poster actually a leaves lot to the imagination because all you see are the shoes. Who knows what amazing contortion of his body MJ put himself through to make that pose with the sneakers happen? Meanwhile, the Air Jordan 12 The Master is an older, wiser take on His Airness but the implication is still the same: he might not have the same athleticism in 1997 like he did in 1987 but you can still imagine him doing just about anything to blow by his opponent in that position.

Enjoy this quick look at the Air Jordan Poster Collection, featuring both the Air Jordan 2 Wing It dropping this weekend (so follow our launch page for all the news) and the Air Jordan 12 The Master.

A New Look at the Air Jordan XXX Cosmos

Air Jordan XXX 2 Air Jordan XXX 1

This upcoming weekend we’ll be seeing the release of the 2nd Air Jordan XXX colorway with the University Blue version that pays homage to Michael Jordan’s college days.

But before we get ahead of ourselves today we get another look at the Cosmos colorway that was first seen during the official unveiling of the Air Jordan XXX in Chicago. It turns out that Tinker Hatfield and Mark Smith designed this colorway of the Air Jordan XXX specifically for the event and did so without the knowledge of Jordan Brand. There is no expected release date for the shoe but today we get a new look at the intergalactic colorway courtesy of @ernny_the_man.

Would you like to see this Air Jordan XXX hit retailers? Let us know down in the comments below and keep it locked to Kicks On Fire for updates on a potential release.

Interesting colorway of the Air Jordan XXX. But would I actually buy a pair? Probably not.

Two Exclusive PE Air Jordan 7 Cleat Colorways That Belong To Alshon Jeffery

Many NFL players have worn PE Air Jordan 7 cleats in the past but today we get one of the best looks ever at two pairs that were made exclusively for Alshon Jeffery of the Chicago Bears.

Both pairs come in a combination of white, blue and orange (Chicago Bears team colors) in what are presumably the home and road colorways. Jordan Brand created player exclusive Air Jordan 7 cleats for a handful of JB athletes but these two colorways that you see above are two rare alternate versions that not many people have seen before.

Which pair do you like better from the two? Let us know your pick down in the comments below.

Author’s Take

It’s cool to see PE Air Jordan 7 Cleats but I’m not a of cleats or the Chicago Bears (Go Vikings!). I’m sure fans of the team and silhouette would love to own these though.

Marcus Jordan Just Received LOTS Of Unreleased Air Jordans

We’re only a few month away from the opening of Marcus Jordan’s Trophy Room sneaker store which will be located in the Disney Springs shopping/dining center located inside the Walt Disney resort in Bay Lake, Florida.

Marcus took to his Twitter account yesterday morning to post a special delivery that presumably houses a bunch of unreleased Air Jordans. Are they for his Trophy Room store? I guess we won’t really know unless Marcus decides to let us know.

What do you think is in this massive haul that Marcus Jordan just got in? Do you plan on making a trip to the Trophy Room once it opens its doors this Spring?

AIR JORDAN 17 1 AIR JORDAN 17 2 AIR JORDAN 17 3 AIR JORDAN 17 4 AIR JORDAN 17 5 AIR JORDAN 17 6

The Air Jordan 17+ Copper is finally making it’s return this year and we finally have the release date to share with you. Set to release next month, today we take a look at the latest images of the upcoming Air Jordan retro.

The Air Jordan 17+ Copper is considered the alternate version of the Air Jordan 17. This alternate version comes in the Copper colorway that has the shoe done up in a white and black motif accented by the copper hits strategically placed on different areas of the shoe. The upper comes in a white leather and the heel panel gets fancy by donning a  black croc-embossed look. A two-toned midsole and additional black hits found on the toecap, tongue and lining round up the look of the shoe. Said to be releasing April 10th for $250, are you scooping up a pair?

Be sure to take a look at out Air Jordan 17+ Copper hub page for all the details and information regarding this release.

Author’s Take

In my opinion, $250 is too steep for the alternate version. I love the 17, but I have no problem waiting for the OG version to retro.

This Dope Looking Air Jordan 6 Is Only For The Girls

Fans of the Air Jordan 6 are going to love this brand new colorway we just came across. Before you get too excited I must inform all of you that this colorway is a GS GG release, meaning that it’s a grade school release, exclusively for the girls.

The first look of the shoe shows the Air Jordan 6 comes in a black and grey upper, where the black is done in a tumbled leather, and the grey appears to be made out of nubuck construction. The midsole also comes in black and grey, while the laces, tongue, lining and heel pull tab rock the stealth look. The two-toned upper is then placed above an icy translucent outsole to give it that fresh and clean look. The girls are in for a treat this time around as we’re sure a lot of the men wish they had smaller feet this time around. No release date information but we’ll pass that along to you as soon as it becomes available.

via: zsneakerheadz

Author’s Take

The Air Jordan 6 is a so-so model in my opinion, but this new look on the shoe really makes me wish this was a men’s release. Although it may be subtle in color, the shoe looks great, especially that tumbled leather. I can dig it.

Is An Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone On The Way

It looks like more colorways of the Air Jordan 9 Low are on the horizon. The latest rumored colorway has the shoe come in a Pantone colorway. The first leaked image of the Air Jordan 9 Low came out today and it only shows a zoomed in look of one of the side panels of the shoes. Judding from the image, it appears as if the entire shoe will come in a Pantone (baby blue) colorway which also includes the tonal laces pictures in the image. It is also being reported that this may very well be a GS exclusive, meaning that the men who want a pair better have small feet or they’ll be straight out of luck.

Rumored to come out June 11th for $170, would you like to see these release? Let us know in the comments below.

via: zsneakerheadz

Author’s Take

I was never into the pantone colorway, so if these end up releasing I really wouldn’t are at all. I know many people like the colorway, I just wonder if they will like it this time even if its placed on a Jorodan 9 Low.

There Appears To Be More Than One Set Of Kobe Bryants Air Jordan Black Collection

Last month, the Kobe Bryant Air Jordan Black Collection was auctioned off for $200k dollars. It was believed that the shoes from that collection were the only ones ever made. Well, it turns out that there may be more than one set made as we’ve recently come across a couple of pairs from that same collection.

Zach Myers recently took to his IG to show a coupe of pairs from the Kobe Bryant Air Jordan Black Collection that he got when he stopped by the Nike world headquarters. The two pairs he put on display were the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8, both from the Kobe Bryant Air Jordan collection. So if Zach Myers was able to get hooked up with pairs from that collection, does that mean there’s a possibility that these could end up releasing to the public? Only time will tell, but here’s to hoping that they do.

via: zmyersofficial

Author’s Take

I’m not a Kobe fan, but it would really be nice if these were to drop. There’s a slim chance, but anything is possible, right?

Heres A Look At The Air Jordan Kobe Pack

No player emulated Michael Jordan quite like Kobe Bryant. From his aging game’s reliance on crafty turnaround jumpers to his competitive drive, there’s a reason that Mike said that Kobe’s the only player he could see beating him in a game of one-on-one, “because he stole all of (his) moves”. Now Jordan Brand is paying homage to the MJ protégé with this Air Jordan Kobe Pack consisting of a Lakers-themed Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8. The duo each features a black “Away” base while accents of purple and gold hit in the patterns native to each silhouette, from the 3’s cement elephant print to the wavy-early 90s style of the heel and outsole. Still no word yet on the nature of this duo’s availability and when they will hit retailers, but check out a brief glimpse below.
