Take A Look At The Arizona Diamondbacks Jersey From The Nike MLB City Connect Series

The latest jersey to be unveiled from the Nike MLB City Connect Series belongs to none other than the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Nike MLB City Connect Series include a handful of jerseys done in designs that explore a franchise?s connection to its city and its fanbase, each with distinct personalities, values, customs and traditions. The first Nike MLB City Connect Series is developed in collaboration with seven inaugural clubs (Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, San Francisco Giants). In later seasons, the City Connect Series will appear league-wide.

Above you will find official images of the Arizona Diamondbacks jersey from the Nike MLB City Connect Series. The Nike Arizona Diamondbacks City Connect Jersey is inspired by the Sonoran Desert and its unique climate and terrain. Known as the Valley of the Sun, Arizonans have adapted to thrive in one of the United States? hottest climates. Stretching across Arizona, California and parts of Mexico, the Sonoran Desert inspires the jersey?s color. On the right sleeve, the Arizona state flag represents the club?s regional pride. Other details include the ?Serpientes? graphic across the chest which translates to ?snakes,? which gives a nod to the desert’s indigenous reptiles. The use of Spanish honors the lasting impact of the valley?s Latin American population. A classic Diamondbacks? logo is expanded to create the new graphic font. The jersey?s number font takes inspiration from a snake?s fangs. Above the jock tag, a triangular patch symbolizes the link between team and the Valley of the Sun. The Diamondbacks? alternate logo transforms into a V for ?valley,? and at the center of the design, a red circle embodies the sun.

The Nike Arizona Diamondbacks Jersey from the Nike MLB City Connect Series is now available on the Nike App and nike.com, and at the MLB Flagship Store (NYC) and select retail locations.

Check Out the Rare Nike SB Dunk Low Promethazine Codeine Sample

The Nike SB Dunk Low “Promethazine Codeine” is a rare iteration of the skateboarding silhouette as it’s essentially a one-of-one unreleased sample, according to sources. As suggested, the sneaker’s theme derives from the mixed drink consisting of codeine, soda, hard candy, and promethazine hydrochloride cough syrup, aka, “purple drank” or “lean,” which has been claimed to promote tranquilizing and euphoric effects.

Overall, the low-top sample bears a patterned suede upper in purple as the pattern takes cues from the ice cubes in the purple drank, while the crackled white base symbolizes the styrofoam cup to represent how the drink is consumed. Additionally, the dark translucent rubber outsole reflects the design of a codeine medicine bottle. Despite the solid execution, reports indicate that Nike’s top brass decided to halt its production due to its controversial theme.

Don’t expect the Nike SB Dunk Low “Promethazine Codeine” to release anytime soon. However, stay tuned for further updates if that changes. Always keep it locked to KicksOnFire for the latest in sneaker news, release dates and where to purchase your favorite kicks.
