Teaser Look At The Nike Special Field Air Force 1 Mid

Last year Nike debuted the Special Field Air Force 1 which became an instant hit and breathed new life into the silhouette. The shoe/sneakerboot is inspired by a military boot and features a leather and ripstop ballistic nylon upper with some added straps on the extended ankle for that military-inspired look. One of the only things that complained about was that fact that it was too high.

Well now Nike will be giving the sneaker a makeover as we give you a teaser look at the Nike Special Field Air Force 1 Mid. We can’t see too much from this early leaked image, but it is evident that the ankle has been cut a lot shorter this time around. The shoe appears to be constructed out of the same leather and ripstop ballistic nylon upper materials on the upper with the only major change being the height of the shoe. No release date has been announced yet, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

In an unprecedented move, it looks like Nike is bringing back the LeBron 13 Low only one year after it originally dropped. So soon we’re not sure if it should even be considered a retro, the low-top version of LeBron’s 13th signature model is back in production already, featured in two lifestyle suede editions constructed with premium burgundy suede and grey nubuck. Each features a tonal treatment to the upper with a gum rubber sole. Are you excited to see the LeBron 13 Low back already? First Look At The Nike SF-AF1 Mid

Ben Kirschner’s Nike SF-AF1 might be one of Nike Sportswear’s best new offerings in years. The good news is that the Special Field movement isn’t slowing down anytime soon because we’re getting a first look at the Nike SF-AF1 Mid, scheduled to release sometime this Summer. The Nike SF-AF1 Mid features zippers on the heel for easy slip-on and a boot-like collar that was seen on the SF-AF1 original. These may be an early sample as no Swoosh or strap is seen, or this stripped down version may just be what Kirschner imagined. Stay tuned for more updates on the Nike SF-AF1 Mid and let us know what your first thoughts are.

Nike PG1 Georgetown Releases This Friday

After a successful debut into the basketball sneaker market earlier this year for the Nike PG1, it’s unfortunate that Paul George and the Pacers couldn’t have lasted at least a little bit longer in the Playoffs this year so the world could see more PE colorways of the shoe. With the uncertainty surrounding where PG will be playing next season, we may have seen the last of the navy and gold PE’s?perhaps some gold and purple looks for the shoe will be on the way next season? We can at least be sure of what’s hitting retail next: this clean version in Glacier Grey and Midnight Navy. Although George has no affiliation with the team, these obviously call to mind the Georgetown Hoyas and their traditional grey and dark blue color scheme.

Hoyas fan or not, this is easily one of the best looks we’ve seen for the shoe yet, featuring a subtly speckled grey suede body with mesh toes and navy accents. Take a look at the outsole, and you’ll also find a pop of neon red for the PG logo and marbled into the grey Zoom bag area. Inspect these official images to help you decide if you need a pair, and then expect them to hit select Nike Basketball retailers and Nike.com this Friday, May 19th.

Official Images Of The Nike Air VaporMax Dark Team Red

You’ve seen the Nike Air VaporMax Dark Team Red before, but today we get our best look yet via the shoe’s official images.

Slated to drop on June 20th for $190, this new colorway of the Nike Air VaporMax comes with a clean Flyknit upper done in Team Red and University Red. Adding some contrast to the shoe is the Black seen on the Swoosh and on the signature full-length bubble cushioning. The Team Red hue has always been a hit with Nike and I don’t see this pair being the exception. Is this one of the Nike Air VaporMaxs best colorways yet? If you agree, you’ll be able to pick these up in a little bit over a month.

LaVar Ball Is Now Demanding $3 Billion From Nike, adidas, And Under Armour

Lonzo Ball might end up on the Los Angeles Lakers. If so, his father LaVar believes that his son’s value has gone up threefold. In a podcast interview with Colin Cowherd, LaVar Ball says that if Nike, adidas, or Under Armour want to revisit talks with his son Lonzo, the new price-tag would be $3 billion. Last month, the big three brands famously rejected LaVar’s demands, which included a licensing deal for Big Baller Brand and production of their own shoe design. Additionally, LaVar’s $1 billion evaluation was universally laughed at by industry experts, and it only got worse when Big Baller Brand revealed Lonzo’s insanely overpriced and mediocre $495 sneaker. It’s safe to say that Nike, adidas, and Under Armour are likely passing at the opportunity to sign Lonzo and his brothers for $3 billion. Hear the full podcast below.
