A second Triple Black version of the Nike Air VaporMax is set to drop next month. Simply dubbed the Nike Air VaporMax Triple Black 2.0, this pair differs from the first pair by coming in an even dark Black hue resulting in more of a blackout finish. The Triple Black version of the Nike Air VaporMax that dropped back in June had some contrast speckling scattered all over the Flyknit upper, this one however opts for a more monochromatic finish. Black laces and an even darker Black full-length VaporMax sole unit finishes of the main features of the shoe. Does this version differ enough from the first pair to warrant picking up? If you seem to think so, look for the Nike Air VaporMax Triple Black 2.0 to release on October 13th for the retail price of $190.

Nike continues their Latino Heritage Month Collection today with the release of the Nike Cortez LHM INTI.

This special rendition of the Nike Cortez was created by Chilean artist INTI who takes his name from the Incan sun god and the Quechua word for ?the Sun? as homage to his Chilean roots. This Cortez is composed of patches and symbols of different cultures of the Americas, united in a single design that shows us the dream of the American continent as a single territory. Other details include purple leather Swooshes on the side panels, black suede on the toe, eyestay, and heel, and INTI’s name on the heels in white.

You can pick up a pair now at select Nike retailers for $100. Be on the lookout for the rest of the collection to release in the month of October.

For all of you waiting for the classic Nike Air Max 97 Atlantic Blue to get a release date, the wait is actually over since Nike recently decided to drop this classic colorway of the AM 97 without any kind of heads up.

The original colorway of the Nike Air Max 97 released as a part of the silhouettes 20th anniversary celebration. Constructed out of suede and mesh, the AM 97 is dressed in an Atlantic Blue colorway on the majority of the upper with Metallic Silver and Voltage Yellow accents placed on the branding and Air Max unit. A White midsole and Black rubber outsole along with 3M hits on the Blue piping complete the design. Although the shoe dropped without warning, it still managed to sell out. The city of New York appears to be getting their very own version of the Nike Zoom VaporFly 4%. The NYC version of the Breaking2 model opts for a White and Black finish stamped with NYC branding on the heel region.

The Nike Zoom Fly SP features a translucent, stretch-woven mesh upper that offers a stylish and unique look. The elite runner utilizes a carbon-infused nylon plate on the midsole housed in Lunarlon making it ideal for long-distance runs. The question is not if, but who will be giving rising star Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks his own signature sneaker. The “Greek Freak” had a very impressive season in 2016-17 with an even more impressive performance in the postseason proving that he has what it takes to one day be the face of this league. And that day may come sooner than you think.

At the moment Giannis is under contract with Nike, but he is already being courted by competitors adidas and Li-Ning. adidas already sent him a van full of of goodies, including Yeezys, Ultra Boosts and apparel. His contract with Nike expires at the end of the month and he is in line for a big pay day.

According to Nick DePaula of ESPN, “ultimately, brands are looking for Antetokounmpo to lead his own signature line of sneakers, with design input and hands-on feedback along the way. In conversations this week with Adidas, Nike and Li-Ning, each is offering a signature shoe that would likely launch during the 2018-19 NBA season. For this upcoming year, he’d lead a series of player exclusive editions in Bucks hues of each brand’s current featured models, like the Adidas Crazy Explosive 2017, Nike Kobe A.D. or Li-Ning Yu Shuai 11.” One thing worth mentioning is that Chinese brand Li-Ning is a serious suitor in these talks as they can offer Giannis the most money with an offer of more than eight figures annually. The contract could also possibly feature an equity or stock component, something that Nike and adidas will not offer.

As the week winds down, each brand is expected to present an initial five-year contract offer and engage in negotiations with Antetokounmpo’s representatives at Octagon Sports. Should Antetokounmpo opt to sign an offer sheet with either adidas or Li-Ning, Nike can fully use its match clause and take up to 20 business days to decide whether or not to let Antetokounmpo walk.
