The Nike Air Force 1 Gets Hit With Flannel

Another print-heavy colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 is on the way as we take a look at a new pair that has been covered in flannel. Flannel is something that people love to wear during the Fall and Winter so the timing for this Air Force 1 couldn’t be any better. Taking on a color combination of Black, Summit White and Habanero Red, this Air Force 1 is hit with the flannel print on the toe, side panels, and tongue, while black leather overlays provide a nice complement. White leather Swoosh logos on the side panels, red leather heel tabs, and white rubber sole units keep things uniform.

The grade school colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Low will be making its way to select Nike accounts later this Fall. Should Nike create similar colorways for men?

First Look: Patta x Nike Air Max 90 x 95 Publicity. Publicity. Wohooooow! Collection

A new Nike x Patta collab is on the way. The collection will include apparel as well as a brand new Air Max hybrid model that combines the Air Max 90 and Air Max 95. Dubbed the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 x 95 ?Publicity. Publicity. Wohooooow!? Collection, let’s get a closer look.

The Patta x Nike Air Max 90 x 95 takes the upper from the Air Max 90 and places it on top of an Air Max 95 sole unit. The shoe comes dressed in a Black upper with Dark Red accents noted on the Swoosh logo and Frozen Yellow on the tongue tags. Not pictured is a second colorway said to come in a Dark Navy finish.

?The Air Max 90 is a robust classic, and the 95 has always felt like a futuristic design; combining both forms a mix between classic and more technical design,? said Patta?s Vincent Van de Waal.

The apparel from the collection will be centered around a checker-print motif and bold typefaces ? the latter inspired by the signage at Amsterdam?s Schiphol Airport ? two of the more eye-catching design elements. According to Nike, the pieces were chosen ?as a way to mix technical elements with classics.?

Look for the Patta x Nike Air Max 90 x 95 ?Publicity. Publicity. Wohooooow!? Collection to drop on October 20th at Patta stores and patta.nl. A global release date is set for October 27th.

A Handful Of NBA Players Will Be Wearing Special NIKEiD PEs For Opening Week

The NBA season officially kicks off tomorrow and basketball fans couldn’t be any more excited. With the NBA allowing players to wear sneakers of any color this season, Nike decided to invite nine players in the NBA and WNBA?s rookie and sophomore class to Nike?s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Ore for a custom design session with NikeiD.

Here are the designs that the players came up with which they will wear for opening week.

Collin Sexton, Point Guard, Cleveland Cavaliers

NikeiD KYRIE 4 “Different”

The rookie’s design is inspired by his parents, who always encouraged Sexton to find his own path. The first initial of both his mother and father appear on the tongue, and his jersey number is printed on the heel.

De’Aaron Fox, Point Guard, Sacramento Kings

Nike iD KOBE AD “Mars”

For Fox, a planetarium visit in Sacramento launched a keen interest in the solar system. The Red Planet leads certain details of his customized KOBE AD, with crimson elements on the Swoosh, the heel and the eyelits (the navy base is taken from his hometown Houston Astros). The initials of Fox?s son, Kai, appear on the tongue.

Frank Ntilikina, Point Guard, New York Knicks

NikeiD KD11 “France”

The Francophone rookie sports his national flag on his feet with a colorway inspired by La France. The flyknit blue meets white overlays and a speckled red-and-white outsole. Two personalized marks are printed on the heel, which, says Ntilikina, ?in a lot of ways is the most difficult part of the process, because you want the perfect symbol or word.? They are: FP, standing for Ntilikina?s nickname, ?French Prince,” and MOAM, for ?Man On A Mission.?

Jayson Tatum, Small Forward, Boston Celtics

NikeiD PG2 “Coloring Book”

This polychromatic colorway is inspired by the NBA sophomore?s biggest fan: his 10-month-old son, Jayson Tatum, Jr., who goes by the nickname Deuce. ?He?s a little too young to be coloring, but if he could, this shoe is what it would look like,? says Tatum. His son?s initials appear on the inside of the tongue.

Jordan Bell, Power Forward, Golden State Warriors

NIkeiD PG2 “Long Beach”

Inspiration for Bell?s design crosses between NorCal and SoCal, with colors from his Golden State Warriors and personalized details from his hometown of Long Beach, Calif. Printed on the heel is 1995, Bell?s birth year.

Kyle Kuzma, Power Forward, Los Angeles Lakers

NikeiD KOBE AD “Kuzz Kontrol”

The split-tone design switches between jet black on the medial side and Laker-inspired yellow on the lateral side.

Luka Don?i?, Guard, Dallas Mavericks

NikeiD KYRIE Low “Retro Glow”

The Slovenian rookie chose a glow-in-the-dark outsole, a green sockliner reminiscent of the Mavs? retro base color, and his number 77 on the inside of the tongue. The reason why he chose number 77 for his first year in the League? His favorite number is 7, but unfortunately, it was already taken by a teammate.

Kelsey Mitchell, Point Guard, Indiana Fever

NikeiD KYRIE Low “Cages”

The inspiration for Mitchell’s NikeiD design was a proving ground during her time at Ohio State ? a local outdoor basketball court that she calls ?the Cages,” and a pivotal place in forming her identity as a young player. ?My twin sister and I would go out there and hoop all day against the guys,? Mitchell says. ?The court used to be green, the three-point line and the key were red, and the middle of the court was black. All of those colors faded so much over time. When I was new at Ohio State, that court helped me find myself.?

Kelsey Plum, Point Guard, Las Vegas Aces

NikeiD Kyrie 4 “Fenerbahce”

Plum?s shoe honors the team colors of her off-season Turkish club. ?Last time I went over there, I brought a bunch of my sneakers from home, which are a lot different than the shoes that are available for retail in that country,? says Plum. ?In designing these shoes, I was thinking about what I could bring back to Turkey that?s cool and different, but is still uniquely me.?
