The Air Jordan 2 Low UNC Arrives This Weekend

Following its official reveal, more detailed images of this Air Jordan 2 Low are provided, as the forthcoming silhouette is reminiscent of the pair that released back in 2004.

Although flaunting a slightly different makeup, the basketball sneaker is essentially a homage to MJ’s alma mater — University of North Carolina. Pristine white graces the majority if its leather upper and midsole unit, while midnight navy is prominent on the inner lining and heel. The theme is capped off with university blue gracing the heel tab, outsole and outlining of its leather upper on the sides.

Retailing for $160, you can purchase a pair at select Nike and JB stockists this Saturday, June 11th.

Author’s Take

I’m not really a fan of the silhouette in this low-top form. The colorway is solid though, but it’s an easy pass for me.

Theres A Very OG Detail On This Septembers Air Jordan 1 Bred

Jordan Brand’s 2016 continues to be a strong one thanks to OG releases arriving nearly every weekend. But perhaps the most anticipated release will be the upcoming rendition of the Air Jordan 1 “Bred”, a pair that you should continue to look forward to after seeing some shots that prove the quality of this pair is up to par with the likes of the “Shattered Backboards” from not too far back. Jordan Brand takes things back to 1985 with the use of tumbled leather on the toebox and Swoosh branding for a true and through original look while Nike Air branding lands on the tongue. Missing from this pair is the signature ‘X’ heel addition found in 2011’s Air Jordan 1 “Banned” release, but with the quality control found throughout, we doubt you’ll miss the feature. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Bred” is slated to release at retailers on September 3rd for $160 USD. Be sure to check out a better view below and we’ll keep you updated on the latest Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

The Air Jordan 10 Shanghai Is Unlike Anything Out There (Video)

The Air Jordan 10 City Pack has seen so many iterations this that it has become somewhat hard to keep you with all of them. One would think that with so many drops the shoe has become somewhat ubiquitous but what Jordan Brand has done a great job of is keep them fresh and original. The next pair to prove that point is the Air Jordan 10 Shanghai, which isn’t the first Air Jordan to namedrop the city and more than lives up to the city’s colorful background.

Not big on this shade of Blue, so these two releases will be fairly easy to pass up on.

Official Images Of The Air Jordan 2 Low UNC

The Air Jordan 2 Low has been one of Jordan Brand’s featured low-tops throughout this summer, as we’ve seen the model return in the classic Chicago mock-up straight from 1987 followed by a timely all-red installment. While Michael Jordan may have preferred adidas and even Converse while playing at the University of North Carolina, the Jumpman is honoring Mike’s time as a Tar Heel with this clean Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC”. The pair features a reptilian texture throughout the white base while a two-toned heel sports University Blue and Midnight Navy to match the contrast piping and iconic Wings logo on the tongue. This Air Jordan 2 installment will arrive at retailers on June 11th for $160 USD. What do you think of the colorway? Be sure to check out more official photos below and stay tuned for more of the latest Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Just a few weeks ago, Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 2 Low Chicago. They wasted no time in releasing yet another colorway of the Air Jordan 2 Low. Today we get another look at the latest set of official images of the upcoming Air Jordan 2 Low UNC.

Although a very similar colorway of the same model dropped back on 2004, there are a few notable new features that make this a “new” colorway. One of the most notable differences is the fact that this version comes equipped with a White midsole. Other new looks include the Navy Blue heel cup and the University Blue piping. The only source of branding visible on the shoe are the Wings hits on the tongue and the Nike hit on the outsole. Just like the Jordan 2 Low Chicago, this UNC version is also pretty subtle in appearance. Like what you see? Pick these up next Saturday, June 11th for the retail price of $160.

Author’s Take

The Air Jordan 2 Low model is cool, but not in this colorway. The only Air Jordan 2 model I’ve liked all year has been the Chicago Lows. Everything else I’m good without.

Official Images Of The Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone

The Jordan Pantone “For The Love of the Game” Collection paired laser etching technology with the perfect monochromatic dash of Carolina Blue that perfectly encapsulated the Jumpman signature collection. Since then, we’ve seen retail releases like the Air Jordan 11 “Pantone” and this Air Jordan 9 Low “Pantone” appease those who never thought they’d actually see mass availability of these exclusives in the first place. While the low-top retro game may be a bit oversaturated for Jordan Brand currently, the use of University Blue, Black, and White here completes a simple yet perfect rendition of the Pantone-like theme perfect for the summer months ahead. You can grab this Air Jordan 9 Low pair on June 11th for $170 USD. Check out more official photos below.

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Metallic Navy Is Now Available

Both colorways of the AJ 11 Low are somewhat taking the spotlight away from this OG Air Jordan 1 High, as it receives its first retro release since 1985.

Staying true to its original counterpart, the classic basketball sneaker is treated in the recognizable two-tone palette. White comprises its tumbled and smooth leather upper, while the defining tone is prominent on the outsole, collar section, Swooshes, wings logo on the ankles and branding on the tongue label.

Additionally, the collar area and branding on the side panels bearing the contrasting hue is rendered in patent leather to further exude more flair.

Priced at $160, you can find this pair at select Nike and JB stockists starting today, June 4th. It’s also worth noting that BG sizes of the silhouette are offered as well, which is depicted on the non-lifestyle images above.

How Much Money Has Been Made From Sales Of The Air Jordan 12 Flu Game

The Air Jordan 12 Flu Game released last Saturday, May 28th as sneakerheads all around the world were finally given the opportunity to pick up a pair of the iconic sneaker.

So just how much money was made off of the Flu Games? According to numbers from SportScanInfo, over $20 million. Yup. The statistics say that 100,433 men’s and 22,939 kids’ pairs were sold in May for a total of $22,270,931. This information is gathered only from retail chains like Foot Locker and Eastbay, and does not take into account the pairs that were sold on nike.com or smaller boutiques. So this number will be much larger if you count the pairs sold from those stores as well.

Were you able to cop a pair?

Author’s Take

Wow, that’s a lot of money. I bought myself a pair too so I contributed to that massive amount of money that was made.

I’m not sure how people feel about the Pantone colorway if it’s not placed on the Air Jordan 11. I don’t like it no matter what shoe it’s on. I’ll pass on these.

The Air Jordan 1 High OG Metallic Navy Returns For The First Time In Over 30 Years

Air Jordan 1 High OG Metallic Navy 5 Air Jordan 1 High OG Metallic Navy 6 Air Jordan 1 High OG Metallic Navy 7

Back in 1985 we saw the debut of the Air Jordan 1. Plenty of colorways released including a set known as the Metallic Collection which featured seven different colorways. Tomorrow we’ll be seeing the return of the Metallic Navy colorway from the Metallic series.

Draped in White leather throughout the majority of the upper, this classic Air Jordan 1 with that OG Nike Air branding on the tongue has then been hit with Midnight Navy detailing on the inner liner, outsole, and the Nike Air on the tongue. Keeping the OG look alive is the Metallic Navy that appears on the Swoosh, ankle and the Wings branding by the ankle.

Let us know in the comments below if you’ll be picking up your pair tomorrow, June 4th for a retail price of $160. If you want more images, information and release dates make sure to head over to our Air Jordan 1 High OG Metallic Navy launch page.

Author’s Take

I like the clean and classic look on this Air Jordan 1 but not enough to spend $160 on it. I’ll wait till they hopefully fall below retail and maybe pick up a pair.

Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 3 Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 1 Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 2 Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 4

The wait finally came to an end today as we saw the release of the Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar.

This collaboration between soccer superstar Neymar Jr. and Jordan Brand didn’t really gain any traction up until this week when Jordan Brand started marketing the hell out of it. The low-top colorway of the Air Jordan 5 comes equipped with a reflective grey upper that has also been hit with black speckling all throughout for an eye-catching look. Black and Infrared detailing adds some contrast to the upper as well as an icy blue outsole.

So who picked up a pair? Were these worth the $200 retail price? Let us know why you copped or passed down in the comments below. Don’t forget to check out our Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar launch page for more images and information on this sneaker.

Author’s Take

Not gonna lie this is a pretty nice colorway. I just don’t like the fact that it’s a Low instead of a Mid. I guess it was meant as a Summer shoe.
