The silhouette is suggested to bear the same woolen construction that is also evident on the forthcoming AJ 3 Wool and AJ 12 Wool. On this particular imagery, it seems that sneaker will also incorporate suede overlays along the heels, while the iconic jumpman logo is embossed.

Jordan Brand/Nike and The Make-A-Wish Foundation will be making a young teen’s wish come true as 16-year-old Rhome Simpkins, of Bakersfield, will get the opportunity to design his own Air Jordan shoe.

Rhome was born with Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome. It is a rare x-linked recessive disease characterized by eczema, immune deficiency and low platelet count.

Rhome has been in and out hospitals his entire life, at times spending up to 6 months hospitalized. Doctors told his parents that he would not live to see four-years-old. When he turned four, they were told that he would not make it past 12 years-old.

He beat the odds and will be celebrating his 17th birthday on Wednesday, September 25th. In November he will undergo a very necessary bone marrow transplant.

Before undergoing surgery, Rhome and his family will be flying to Portland. While there they will visit the Nike factory where Rhome will design his shoe.

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s media day was this past Friday. You know Russell Westbrook was going to take full advantage of this day and wear a pair of sneakers that would sure turn some heads. He did just that by rocking a never before seen Air Jordan 31 OKC PE.

With the NBA season fast approaching, it’s a sure thing that we’re going to see our fair share of Jordan Brand athletes (and even non-Jordan Brand athletes) wear the Air Jordan 31 with a handful of PEs thrown in the mix as well. Getting the ball rolling early is Westbrook with this pair. The shoe comes in a White upper done in the shoe’s normal construction. That tonal look is offset by the Orange accents to help give it that OKC feel. Thoughts on the shoe? Personally, I wish it had some of the shade of Blue the Thunder wear, it would look a whole lot better in my opinion.

All of the wool material on the upper has been done in Dark Grey with Black leather overlays on the mudguard. Metallic Silver accents also appear on the upper eyelets to give the shoe a finishing touch. This Air Jordan 12 will join the Nylon pair that released a couple of weeks back as retros designed with new materials for the Fall.
