This Custom Air Jordan 1 Is Covered In 15,000 Swarovski Crystals

One of the most interesting Air Jordan 1s made its way onto social media yesterday as Jordan Brand employee Frank Cooker gave us a look at a captivating version of the Air Jordan 1 Chicago.

Designed by artist Daniel Jacob, this custom Air Jordan 1 has been covered in over 15,000 individually hand set Swarovski crystals. As you can see, the shoe has the identical color blocking as the OG Chicago colorway that is regarded as one of the most popular Jordan 1s of all-time.

What are your thoughts on this custom Jordan 1? Is this a work of art that you would display or would you rock them on your feet?

A First Look At The Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin

Just yesterday we let you know that a Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin release was in the works. A rendering of the shoe was shared, but no actual images of the shoe were provided, until now. That said, here’s a first look at what is believed to be the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin.

Right off the bat, the first thing you notice is that unlike the Royal and Bred Satin releases, this Satin version does NOT come dressed in all-satin. Instead, Jordan Brand opts to add leather to the design of the shoe. The shoe’s first image shows that the satin version of the Shattered Backboard comes in the same color blocking as the OG SBB, the only difference is that the Orange parts of the shoe (toe and collar) opts for a Satin finish. Another welcomed change to the shoe is the decision to add a thick embroidered Swoosh on the side paneling that’s very similar to the women’s Air Jordan 1s from the ?Season of Her? collection.

Another important detail on this release: It’s said to be a women’s exclusive!

No word yet on when these will drop or for how much, but as soon as we have that info, we will share that with you too. Thoughts?

Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin To Release Soon

Though nothing has been confirmed just yet, it looks like a Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin release is right around the corner. Additional info that makes this release even more special: It’s said to be a women’s exclusive!

According to baltsneakershow, the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin is expected to release very “soon”. The last time we saw the Jordan 1 get the satin treatment was back in 2016 when both the Royal and Bred colorways made their debut in ultra-limited fashion. That said, we expect the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin to release in similar limited numbers and to sell out just as fast. Expect the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin to rock the same color scheme and color blocking as the original Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard that dropped back in 2015. Off-White, Black and Orange hues will take care of both the upper and sole unit.

Although not yet confirmed, expect the Air Jordan 1 Shattered Backboard Satin to be limited to less than 1,000 pairs and to only be available at select retailers. MSRP is expected to be $175. Stay tuned as more info begins to surface!
