Jordan Brand will be releasing their annual “Quai 54” Collection on July 10th this year which will include the Air Jordan 5. In addition to the white-based pair that will be hitting retailers, a friends & family colorway of the Air Jordan 5 “Quai 54” has also surfaced which takes on a black-based look. Seen above, this limited Air Jordan 5 gets covered in a black suede/nubuck construction all throughout the upper with contrasting red accents hitting the eyelets, the Jumpman branding on the tongues, and the translucent outsoles. The inner liner features a print inspired by traditional West African fabric patterns, the same as the retaio pair, while translucent mesh netting on the side panels, and white midsoles with black shark teeth cap things off. The Air Jordan 1 High OG “Rebellionaire” is expected to debut next year and it’s suggested to be inspired by the classic Air Jordan 1 “Banned” commercial, according to sources. As the moniker indicates, it’s simply an acknowledgement of the time Michael Jordan was a rebel by wearing the ?Banned? AJ1 even though he was fined for each game. Images of the style have not surfaced online yet, however, the model is reportedly draped in a “Black/White-Particle Grey” color scheme. As noted on the rendering, the model is highlighted with the words ?They can?t stop you from wearing them,? in an all over print as a reference to the commercial. Jordan Brand has officially unveiled their 2021 Quai 54 Collection which recognizes the electric diversity of France?s basketball talent. The Jordan Brand Quai 54 Collection spans footwear and apparel, covering performance and lifestyle, and features the tournament logo?s stylized geometric designs on silhouettes like the Air Jordan 35 Low, the Air Jordan 1 Low and the Air Jordan 5.

?This year, we created a ?Quai 54? graphic motif inspired by traditional West African fabric patterns,? says Thibaut de Longeville, co-founder of Quai 54. ?We wanted to modernize the look, add some Parisian flair, and ultimately match the energy of the event and its incredible community.?

At the highest level, Jordan Brand unveils a new jersey for the French men and women?s national team. A sportswear collection accompanies the jersey?s release. The pieces include hoodies, T-shirts, jackets and shorts. The apparel designs draft from the uniform, which features a new pattern inspired by the colors of the national flag, incorporating the Jumpman logo on the chest.
