The LeBron 13 Low USA Continues A Patriotic Summer For Nike Basketball

With both the 4th of July and the Olympics coming up this summer, the sneaker world seems to be releasing more patriotic sneakers than ever this summer. With Team USA looking to take home another gold on the basketball court, you can bet Nike Basketball has their own crop of red, white, and blue kicks. Along with the upcoming 4th of July editions of the Kyrie 2, Kobe 11 Elite, and brand-new KD 9, LeBron’s addition to the patriotic collection is apparently this USA themed LeBron 13 Low. While we know the KD 9 releases on July 1st with the Kyrie 2 and Kobe 11 to follow on the 2nd, there’s still no release date for these LeBron Lows yet. We assume they’ll drop around the same time, but Nike could be saving them for a release closer to the Olympics, so stay tuned to Sneaker News for a confirmed launch.

Author’s Take

Any time I see a black and yellow sneaker it immediately captures my attention. I?m not a fan of the Foamposite silhouette but I have to admit that this is a clean colorway. There?s no way I would spend $230 on this shoe though.

This Nike LeBron Soldier 10 Is Inspired By His Strive For Greatness Slogan

LeBron James‘ main goal in his basketball career was to win a championship for the title-less city of Cleveland. Now that he’s done that, what’s next for The King? While the Olympics seem out of the equation this summer, we’re betting that LeBron and the Cavaliers return next year to strive for greatness and attempt to defend their much-deserved NBA championship. The Nike LeBron Soldier 10 was one of the most talked about sneakers during this year’s NBA Finals, partly because LeBron showed up rocking the pair unannounced in a number of subtle colorways. After going live on NIKEiD, the general releases are finally showing up at stores. This Black/Gum colorway continues the simple color palette, as a breathable mesh base sees three lockdown straps utilize a speckled almost herringbone like pattern to offset the lifestyle-like gum outsole. A reflective 3M Swoosh adds a nice touch. The inner linging spells out ‘SLDR’ for the Soldier series while the signature lion logo hits the other footbed. You can grab this LeBron Soldier 10 pair from select spots today and be sure to check out our feature on how LeBron and Nike stole back the basketball spotlight in this year’s NBA Finals.

Reminiscent of the Jacquard counterpart, this Nike Air Max 95 Ultra is another modernized take of the iconic runner.

Essentially maintaining its signature design language intact, this particular rendition strays from its usual suede/leather construction, but instead, it incorporates a mixture of mesh and foam to create a seamless upper. Promoting a more lightweight and sleeker build altogether, the model is also defined by an exposed flywire system that evokes a deconstructed vibe.

Nike Remembers Iconic Election Ads With Vote For Griffey Retros

Ken Griffey Jr. was larger than life in 1996. The Seattle Mariners were one of the best teams in baseball and Junior Griffey was at the height of his fame. Nike capitalized on his stardom by releasing a number of unique ads billing ‘Griffey For President’ and even enlisted some political figures in some memorable television spots. The irony here is that Griffey would actually get into politics later in life, serving as an American Public Diplomacy Envoy and traveling overseas as a cultural salesperson for American values.

Nike is bringing back plenty of retro colorways of his most iconic shoe – the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 – in honor of the silhouette’s 20th-anniversary celebration. While most have centered around that 90s-centric shade of teal to match the Mariners’ uniforms, this “Vote for Griffey” pairs takes us back to those memorable tv spots with a patriotic USA-themed upper. A dark navy base is accented by deep red and a gum outsole while stars hit the heel tab to continue the election motif. The shoe even comes equipped with ‘Griffey In ’16’ election stickers. Check out more official photos below and expect this pair to drop later this summer.

Elephant Print, Psychedelic Graphics, And More Coming To Nike SB Dunks Soon

The Nike SB Dunk has always been on of Nike Sportswear’s most eclectic and diverse models. Part of that success has to do with the fact that the once-superior basketball model transitioned into a skate classic over the past few decades while the simple and iconic panels make it easy to maintain a number of different textures, graphics, and materials. Nike SB is going all out with the silhouette this Summer 2016 season as a number of graphic-heavy pairs are sure to be big hits. Look Out For The Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 Black Gum

Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 2 Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 1 Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10

While the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 iD, in celebration of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ first championship instantly sold out yesterday, this colorway of the newly-introduced silhouette may receive the same fate.

Almost reminiscent of the blacked-out pair that James wore during Game 3 of the NBA Finals, the most distinguishable difference consists of a versatile gum outsole that perfectly coordinates with the colorway.

You can purchase a pair now at select Nike retailers nationwide for a price tag of $150.

Hurry before it’s too late!

Author’s Take

I’m not really a fan of the silhouette, but since James wore the silhouette to achieve the Cavs’ first championship, it’ll definitely be remembered significantly. This colorway is pretty classic as well and should garner the attention it deserves.
