The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil kicks-off today, and to celebrate the international sporting event, a special edition Nike Air Max 1 iD Olympic Medal option is unveiled.

Essentially evoking the first, second and third-place medallions of gold, silver and bronze as its primary aesthetic, the defining colorway drapes the upper leather portion in a shimmering finish, as it’s topped off with a crisp white midsole unit.

The Air Force 1 and Air Max 90 can be customized with this option as well, so start creating your own now directly at NikeID only for a price tag of $150.

Following an initial preview, official imagery of the upcoming Nike KD 9 in white multicolor is now revealed, as the model is essentially a cleaner iteration of the recent Unlimited pair.

While the official backstory for this particular pair has yet to be revealed, the model’s vibrant tones of volt and bright crimson are prominent across its flyknit upper, while pristine white converges throughout the remainder of its composition to solidify its color palette. Accents of grey on the Swooshes and tongue tabs complement the makeup, as it’s all adhered atop a versatile gum outsole.

The featured gallery consists of a GS size, but expect the model to also debut in original sizing sometime in the very near future.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for updates.

Look For The Nike Air More Uptempo Asia Hoop Pack This Weekend

NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 1 NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 2 NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 3 NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 4 NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 5 NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 6 NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 7

The Nike Air More Uptempo saw huge success with the recent release of the Olympic colorway. Now Nike will be bringing back the Asia Hoop Pack to continue the silhouette’s 20th anniversary.

Looking at this Air More Uptempo what stands out the most is the Chicago Bulls color scheme which features a Varsity Red upper with White and Black accents. The ‘AIR’ branding on the side panels has been done in Black patent leather to add a nice pop to the shoe.

This GS colorway of the Nike Air More Uptempo will release on August 6th for $140.

Author’s Take

If the AIR was done in nubuck or smooth leather it would have looked better. The patent leather makes it look too much like a kids shoe.

Blue And White Cover The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro Ishod Wair

NIKE SB DUNK 1 NIKE SB DUNK 2 NIKE SB DUNK 3 NIKE SB DUNK 4 NIKE SB DUNK 5

The Nike SB Dunk Low Pro Ishod Wair just came out in a brand new colorway. Keeping things fairly simple, the shoe rocks a two-toned look that always manages to look great on the model. Let’s take a closer look.

The hybrid version of the SB Dunk Low comes with a much slimmer tongue, which changes the look of the shoe. The shoe comes constructed out of a leather upper consisting of a White base accented by the Blue suede placed on the overlays. The shoe also comes with a little bit of White patent leather noted on the heel tabs and Nike Swoosh. Thoughts? If you want a pair, you can now pick one up for the retail price of $95.

Author’s Take

I actually prefer the slimmer tongue if I’m only using the shoe for casual wear. I just think it makes it easier to wear. As far as the color goes, it’s spot on. Good work.

Nike Might Have The Best Olympic Medal Shoes This Summer

Nike is definitely trying to finish in first place when it comes to the offerings of Olympic-inspired sneaker releases for 2016, and this latest set of NIKEiD options is pretty much a victory lap for the brand at this point. The Air Force 1, Air Max 90, and the Air Max 1 which we see here are all hitting NIKEiD in an “Olympic Medal” pack, featuring each model in metallic uppers in gold, silver, and bronze that shine even brighter than the actual medals that will be awarded at the podiums in Rio. The NIKEiD “Olympic Medal” options will be available beginning tomorrow, August 5th just in time for the Opening Ceremonies in Brazil.

This Colorway Of The Nike Air Max 1 Packs A Punch Of Color

Nike Air Max 1 2 Nike Air Max 1 3 Nike Air Max 1 1

Bright tones land on a classic Nike Sportswear silhouette with this new Air Max 1.

While most of the Air Max 1 attention has been focused on the new Ultra Flyknit version that just released, today we take a look at the Air Max 1 No-Sew. Equipped with a one piece breathable mesh upper, this Air Max 1 is covered in Peach Cream throughout the majority of the shoe with Volt landing on the mudguard and Hyper Turquoise on the Swoosh branding and the Nike branding on the tongue. A white sole unit balances things out a but on this tropical colorway of the Air Max 1 that is available now exclusively for the ladies at select retailers for $120.

Author’s Take

Fresh colorway for the Spring/Summer. It doesn’t get much brighter than this. Even though these are designed for women, I’m not a fan of the colors.

More Colorways Of The Nike LeBron 13 Low Are On The Way

Nike LeBron 13 Low 1 Nike LeBron 13 Low 2 Nike LeBron 13 Low 3 Nike LeBron 13 Low 4 Nike LeBron 13 Low 5 Nike LeBron 13 Low 6 Nike LeBron 13 Low 7

A new colorway of the Nike LeBron 13 Low has surfaced and it’s one that is more inclined towards the Fall season due to the color selection.

Covered in what Nike is calling Phantom all over the upper which is like a shade of beige/grey, this LeBron 13 Low is then offset by hits of Olive on the midsole, inner liner, and heel. Adding some more color to the shoe is Turf Orange which can be seen on the Swoosh on the medial side of the shoe, tongue and heel pull tabs, heel, midsole, and outsole.

What are your thoughts on this upcoming colorway of the LeBron 13 Low? Check out the official images above and look for them to arrive at select Swoosh retailers in the near future.

Author’s Take

I’ve been a fan of a few of the colorways of the LeBron 13 Low that have already released, but I can’t say the same about this pair. I just don’t feel like the colors mesh well together.

NikeLab Brings Back The Footscape Woven With Rainbow Effects

Is there a shoe better prepared for the casual and subtle nature of Fall style than the Nike Air Footscape Woven Chukka? The unique NSW specialty flawlessly blended Eastern Zen-like influences with a casual suede build, asymmetrical lacing system, and head-turning woven stripe construction. All of that rested atop a bolstered outsole unit with hints of natural motion technology. Now we have some good news: NikeLab is bringing back the Nike Footscape Woven Rainbow in two additional colorways.

The Nike Footscape Woven Rainbow managed to make the pair a bit flashier thanks to multi-color combinations of the woven ribbon seams found splicing the suede silhouette in half. This year’s rendition sees tonal shades perfect for autumn ranging from a black suede upper or a subtle Light Bone option. While the accent colors aren’t as vibrantly rainbow-themed as past incarnations, darker hues of navy, maroon, and olive all add to the woven build with relative ease.

What do you think of the upcoming Nike Footscape Woven Rainbow colorways? Check out more detailed photos below and stay tuned for a release date right here on Sneaker News.

The Nike Kobe 11 Goes Back To Its Mamba Roots

It’s crazy to think that most kids today won’t remember Kobe Bryant’s on-court genius, but Nike Basketball is appealing to the next generation with this upcoming Kobe 11 release. The kids-exclusive Kobe 11 Green Snake returns to the Black Mamba’s roots with an aggressive Lucid Green snake-themed graphic upper.

This Nike Kobe 11 release showcases that the silhouette doesn’t need Flyknit to stand out. The jagged pattern mixes in multiple shades of green with black and metallic silver for a head-turning look. We’re jealous that this pair will only be available in a grade school size run. The leather heel construction even features a synthetic snakeskin textile complete with a menacing snake logo in silver.

The Kobe 11 Green Snake will arrive at retailers on August 8th for $135 USD.

No Nike LeBron 13 EXT Yet, But These Come Close

LeBron‘s candid interview with Sports Illustrated‘s Lee Jenkins revealed that The King believes at this point in his career he’s chasing a certain ghost that played in Chicago. And while LeBron has a summer to relax and reflect on his latest accomplishments, his Nike Basketball signature series is hard at work. Take this LeBron 13 Low as a prime example.

While we’re still waiting on release info and a first look at the LeBron 14, the Swoosh is still finding ways to rejuvenate the current roster of Lebron silhouettes. This militaristic combination of Neutral Olive and Turf Orange accents works perfectly on a neutral Phantom white mesh base. The real attention grabber though, is the leather Swoosh branding on the toecap and medial side. Instead of the usual tape and fuse construction, premium leather accents bring a perfect lifestyle touch to this offseason LBJ pair. Think Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design KD 6 Elite from a few years back.

What do you think of the latest LeBron release? Expect this LeBron 13 Low to arrive at retailers later this month.
