The Danny Supa x Nike SB Dunk Will Make A Return Next Year

If you’ve been into sneaker for a good minute, you know that the Danny Supa x Nike SB Dunk is a OG Dunk that made its debut back in 2002. This original colorway of the Dunk, which was designed by skater Dany Supa came in a bold Orange, Blue and White color scheme. 15 years later, it appears as it the shoe is getting the retro treatment.

Supa recently signed a two-year extension with Nike SB, and one of the projects they plan on doing is bringing back this classic colorway of the Nike SB Dunk. Said to be releasing during the Holiday season of 2017, we are not sure whether the colorway will be placed on a Dunk Low or High. The OG pair came in low top fashion, but to be quite honest with you, low or high will still be welcomed with open arms. Are you looking forward to this release? Stay tuned as more info begins to surface.

The Nike Blazer Golf is actually a women’s model, but if any men want to rock this on the green, I wouldn’t blame you. Author’s Take

I don’t play golf, but if I did, I wouldn’t mind picking these up! Need a matching shirt too! Kidding. Maybe.

Author’s Take

Kind of reminds me of the super popular Bronzine colorway but not as nice. Regardless, this is still a dope pair of Huaraches.

Author’s Take

Pretty cool option for the Olympics, but all of the colors are just too bright for me. I’d like them better if the metallic colors were only used as accents maybe on the branding or a specific part of the shoe.

Doesn’t really make me think of Brazil when I see it. This just looks like an all-white Kobe 11.

This bright colorway of the Kyrie 2 features bright yellow upper with black accents landing on the midfoot strap, heel, outsole, and the speckling on the midsole. A red stop sign has been placed on the tongue with “KYRIE” replacing the word stop as well as “school bus” written on the heel.

Take a look at the first images of the Nike Kyrie 2 School Bus and let us know your thoughts in the comments section. Do you plan on grabbing this colorway when it releases? Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Author’s Take

I like the combination of yellow and black, I just don’t like the whole school bus theme. The shoe would have been much better without the stop sign and school bus branding.

it’s kind of hard to judge the shoe based off of this one picture, but so far I’m not really impressed with what I see. Hopefully better images will show the shoe in a new light.

Nike Kyrie 2 School Bus

The Kyrie 2 is taking the back to school theme rather literally with the latest release. Known as the Nike Kyrie 2 School Bus, the yellow and black pair imitates the go-to mode of transportation for grade schoolers and beyond with an on-the-nose take.

The Kyrie 2 has always thrived off of a number of grade school exclusive looks, and what better way to honor back-to-school season than with an homage to how most kids get there? The new homage to getting schooled comes in the form of a vibrant yellow upper, accented black speckles, and a red ‘Kyrie’ branded stop sign logo on the tongue. The heel even features bold ‘School Bus’ branding in case you were confused as to what this Kyrie 2 School Bus pair represented.

It’s unknown whether this Kyrie 2 offering will be limited to grade schoolers (most likely) or if it will arrive in a full-size run, but stick with us for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

Is This Paul Georges Nike Signature Shoe

Paul George is Nike Basketball’s next signature athlete. This announcement shouldn’t come as a surprise, as it’s been a long time coming for the Indiana Pacers’ superstar. While PG13’s anticipated signature model, the Nike PG 1, might have been delayed due to his injury during Team USA’s 2014 intrasquad FIBA scrimmage, the first look at his debut model couldn’t have come at a better time. Not only is George back to elite form, today is Team USA’s first game in their chase for a Gold Medal in the Rio Olympics with Paul serving as an integral part of the roster.

It’s also rumored that the first installment of what promises to be an exciting series of Paul George Shoes could be alternatively called the ‘Nike The Bait 1’ according to SneakerFiles.com. The shoe is minimalist in design, with a neoprene slip-on upper recieving lockdown support through an asymmetrical midfoot strap. The sleek midsole unit should boast Zoom cushioning and is reminiscient of earlier Kobe entries. The Nike PG 1 will debut in a Pacers-themed Obsidian/White-University Gold in the near future and will replace the Kyrie series as the entry level priced Nike Basketball signature.

Expect the Nike PG 1 to arrive at retailers in early September for $110 USD, but no official release date has been confirmed just yet. Check out the first preview of PG’s first signature model with Nike Basketball after the break and let us know if you’re a fan of the look.

NikeLab Crafts An Incredible Kobe 11 Inspired By Brazil

Are you missing Kobe Bryant yet? While the Black Mamba is done playing professionally, we can’t help but remember the past two USA Men’s National basketball teams with Kobe running the show. He almost single-handedly won the Redeem Team’s Gold Medal against Spain in the 2008 Olympics and his strong international play contributed to his lasting legacy in other countries. Now NikeLab is sending a quick reminder in the form of what could be summer’s premier Kobe release – this NikeLab Kobe 11 Brazil slated to release August 6th.

The incredibly limited offering showcases the Kobe 11 Elite at its finest. A crisp all-white construction combines breathable Flyknit with a synthetic snakeskin leather on the Swoosh and heel. A nod to the Brazilian flag is subtly represented through the Swoosh’s contrasting yellow piping and a blue insole for good measure. What do you think of this Kobe 11 Brazil release?

Check out more photos after the break and know that this Olympic-themed Kobe release will arrive at select shops in limited quantities this Saturday, August 6th.

Buy, Pass, Wait: Air Jordan 7 Olympic Alternate, Nike Air Trainer SC High 96, Under Armour Curry Lux

We are getting into the Olympic spirit with this edition of Buy, Pass, Wait as several prominent pairs that celebrate the Summer Games are dropping or have already dropped this weekend. There are a few heavy hitters making their way onto shelves, including a new (but really old, actually) colorway of the Air Jordan 7, a love letter to the last time the Olympic were held here in America and the beginning of Nike’s Unlimited campaign to coincide with the games.

Air Jordan 7 Olympic Alternate

Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (PASS) There’s levels of uh, iconicnessity (FYI, that’s not a real word; just needed to get my point across.) when it comes to sneakers, and the Air Jordan 7 Olympic belongs at or near the top. Because of that colorway’s place in history, releasing an “Alternate” colorway that Michael Jordan may or may not have rejected initially is a tricky one. While I appreciate the history lesson and think it’s great that Nike is willing to put themselves out there by dropping “failed” designs, I can see why MJ rejected them back in the days.

Renz Ofiaza, News: (PASS) It has started to grow on me, but, I still prefer the original Olympic colorway instead. I’m biased towards the theme though. Maybe if the price goes lower, I’ll consider.

Juan Carrillo, News: (WAIT) It has started to grow on me, but, I still prefer the original Olympic colorway instead. I’m biased towards the theme though. Maybe if the price goes lower, I’ll consider

Andres Carrillo, News: (WAIT) It has started to grow on me, but, I still prefer the original Olympic colorway instead. I’m biased towards the theme though. Maybe if the price goes lower, I’ll consider.

Nike Air Trainer SC High Olympic 96

Nike
Nike

EIC Juan: (BUY) I have zero chance of copping these, but I would love to own a pair because it really is a loving tribute to the ATL (word to G-Roc) and I can appreciate it when a sneaker goes above and beyond to truly capture a moment in time.

Renz: (BUY) I like the silhouette overall and the colorway is quite appealing. I like it even more since it holds a significance and it’s quite an exclusive pair.

News Juan: (PASS) Great theme execution on the shoe. Love the use of colors and the Georgia Peach/Olympic branding on the shoe. The outsole is crazy, and the use of Gold accents is nice. With all that being said, it’s still not a pair of kicks I see myself wearing a lot, which I why I don’t see myself picking up a pair.

Andres: (PASS) I would say wait on this shoe but being that it’s really limited I know it’s gonna sell out quick. Even though I’m not a huge fan of the Air Trainer SC High I really like this colorway. The materials and inspiration/theme for the shoe are real dope. If I were from Atlanta I would pick these up no questions asked.

Under Armour Curry Lux

EIC Juan: (GOT ‘EM) UA’s foray into the sportswear space should be a success because the Curry One amazingly lends itself well to a more casual look. However, detractors and haters will see these and dismiss them immediately so you should see that as an opportunity to stand out from the crowd. Despite the limited number being dropped among the first five colorways, you shouldn’t have a problem copping down the line coupled with a price drop.

Renz: (PASS) I appreciate the refined design and colorways, but, I’m not really tempted into purchasing either. Although, I’d choose the Lux Low in tan though. I’m biased towards that shade.

News Juan: (WAIT) The shoe looks sleek, I’ll give you that. The colorways/construction used on both the Low and High are pretty clean. Price is a little high for a Curry sneaker. I’m not against picking up a pair, but I’d rather wait it out. Again, this isn’t a shoe I see myself “needing” so waiting it out to save some cash is not a problem.

Andres: (PASS) Under Armour should have made a completely new silhouette instead of a premium Curry One. Still looks like a basketball shoe to me except that now it has leather or suede. Also I think the colorways could have been a lot better, I’m not a big fan of the tonal looks.

Nike Kyrie 2 Parade

Nike
Nike

EIC Juan: (BUY) I was a big fan of the Kyrie 2 even before I had a chance to talk to Uncle Drew about it, but now that I can tell that he is very much hands-on with the process and it’s not just lip service, it makes me appreciate the shoe that much more. The Parade colorway would have gone under the radar had Kyrie not worn it during the Cavs’ big parade to celebrate their championship, but now it’s going to be a quick seller.

Renz: (BUY) I’m a fan of the clean color palette/silhouette and I like how the theme is only emphasized on the mid-foot strap. This is one of the best colorways of the silhouette this year.

News Juan: (PASS) Eh, sans the strap, it’s a White and Black shoe. I don’t see anything too special in this colorway. There’s way more colorways of the Kyrie 2 that I’d rather pick up instead of this one. Easy pass.

Andres: (PASS) This is one of the nicer colorways of the Kyrie 2 but since Kyrie and the Cavs knocked my Raptors out of the playoffs I can’t see myself buying these shoes. Haha jk. Aside from the strap they’re also pretty plain. These could have been a lot better, especially since they’re tied to Kyrie’s first championship.

Nike KD 9 Unlimited

Nike
Nike

EIC Juan: (PASS) I saw a pair in person yesterday and it just didn’t do anything for me. The Olympic tie-in is great and all and I’m a sucker for the volt and pink combination, so it might just be I prefer a more simpler look for the KD 9 as a whole. Of course, I also love the upcoming Birds of Paradise colorway so what the hell do I know?

Renz: (PASS) It’s an appealing colorway, but, I’m not too crazy about it. Maybe it’ll look better if the theme was only placed on the upper.

News Juan: (PASS) I like the Nike KD 9. I really do. I’m just waiting on a really good colorway to drop. I’m not really feeling Volt accents on sneakers at the moment, which is why I don’t see myself picking up a pair. I’m really looking forward to other colorways releasing. I have a good feeling that KD 9 will come out with nice colorways this year.

Andres: (PASS) Thanks to the Flyknit upper, the KD 9 has potential for some real nice colorways. This isn’t one of them in my opinion. The colors make it look too much like a women’s colorway.

Support Team USA With This Nike Air Presto

Nike Air Presto Nike Air Presto 1 Nike Air Presto 2 Nike Air Presto 3 Nike Air Presto 4 Nike Air Presto 5 Nike Air Presto 6

While this particular colorway of the Nike Air Presto was revealed last month and indicated of a 4th of July commemoration, the model hasn’t arrived at stateside retailers until now to perfectly coincide with the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Defining by its USA-themed color palette, the breathable mesh construction is rendered in white, while its distinctive translucent TPU lacing system and heel apparatus are shaded in vibrant blue, followed by pops of red adorning the outsole, tongue, pull tabs and branding on the midsole, as well as on the toe box.

All adhered atop a white rubber sole unit, more red accents are placed on the outsole and miniature Swoosh branding of the component to solidify its overall composition. Topped off with matching white laces, you can find this model at select Nike stockists nationwide now for a retail price tag of $120.
