Author’s Take

The colorways on this style have been pretty solid so far and it continues with this pair. The theme is cool too, but, you can’t go wrong with an all-white sneaker.

I’ll always be an advocate for this silhouette. The color combo is appealing in general and this should garner the attention it deserves. On purpose or not.

Rob Gronkowski saw his first major minutes of the NFL season last night, and while he’s still recovering from his hamstring injury Patriots faithful and fantasy football leagues alike will take solace in Gronk’s return some Sunday soon. Nike is celebrating the lovable Tight End’s return through an exclusive Nike Zoom Train Toranada “Gronk” release that sees a clean rendition of the training model in white and metallic blue in honor of no. 87. The Nike Train Toranada continues the Swoosh’s rich history of cross-training models thanks to a visible air unit on the heel, Nike Zoom throughout the midfoot section to help stability while also returning energy to the foot, while Dynamic Flywire cables add lockdown support on the forefoot to match a unique oversized strap. The Nike Kyrie 2 Has Never Looked Cleaner

As we approach the next NBA season this fall, it shouldn’t be too much longer before Nike debuts the Kyrie 3. While we wait for the third installment of Kyrie Irving’s signature line, there’s still plenty to look forward to if you’ve been a fan of the Kyrie 2. Like this “Speckled White” edition, for example. Already dropping in more colorways than a wide variety of colorways, think hard and you still won’t come up with a cleaner look than this upcoming release, featuring a pristine white upper with subtle speckling, metallic silver accents, and an icy clear outsole. So nice, you might find it hard to lace them up to hit the court in fear you’ll scuff them up. The “Speckled White” Kyrie 2 arrives at Nike Basketball retailers beginning October 4th.

Official Images Of The Nike Air Unlimited Retro

Nike basketball collectors have been asking for it for years, and now it’s finally coming back: the Nike Air Unlimited. The extra high-top and amply strapped up hoops shoe made famous by David Robinson in 1994 is finally returning in OG form, coming soon in this original white, black, and emerald green colorway just like the pairs The Admiral wore in San Antonio. Actually already released earlier this summer when Pigalle brought them back for an all-white collab edition, we knew it would only be a matter of time before the original look made its comeback. Get excited, vintage Nike fans, the Air Unlimited should be on the shelves later this fall. Stay tuned to Sneaker News for further release information.

A Black Upper And Bright Crimson Speckling Highlight This Nike Kyrie 2

Nike Kyrie 2 1 Nike Kyrie 2 2 Nike Kyrie 2 3 Nike Kyrie 2 4 Nike Kyrie 2 5 Nike Kyrie 2 6 Nike Kyrie 2 7 Nike Kyrie 2 8 Nike Kyrie 2 9 Nike Kyrie 2 10

Arriving at retailers this upcoming Saturday is the latest colorway of the Nike Kyrie 2. After winning his first NBA Championship this Summer, Irving and the Cavaliers will be attempting to defend their crown as the new season gets underway in about a month.

This upcoming Nike Kyrie 2 doesn’t appear to have any specific theme or story behind it, and if it does Nike hasn’t given it to us. Looking at this Kyrie 2 we see that it comes dressed in a predominantly Black upper with Bright Crimson landing on the tongue and heel branding, as well as the speckling that is seen on the midfoot strap and the midsole. A Metallic Silver Swoosh on the midsole and strap round out the look along with an icy blue translucent outsole.

You can pick up this Nike Kyrie 2 at select Nike stockists beginning on September 24th for the usual retail price of $120.

Author’s Take

I would have liked it if more Bright Crimson or Metallic Silver were added on the shoe, maybe on the upper somewhere.

There’s always been something about the Blazer Mid that I’ve liked, maybe the fat Swoosh or the suede upper. It’s just a classic looking shoe.

ACG-Themed Nike Huaraches Are Back

It’s hard to imagine, but back in 2007, Nike Sportswear’s Nike Air Huarache “ACG Pack” could actually be found lingering on some store shelves well after the initial release date. The trio of Nike Huarache pairs was built with premium perforated details and rugged colorways inspired by Tinker Hatfield’s Nike Air Mowabb trail creation. Now years later, we’re finally seeing NSW at least pay homage to that legendary pack with this Nike Air Huarache ACG offering featuring a premium Gold Leaf upper, Hyper Cobalt accents, and a speckled midsole to match the Mowabb.

The Nike Huarache ACG also dons the perforated toe found in the 2007 ACG Pack, and while the Mowabb’s main accent of tan is absent in this pair, it would be hard not to notice the orange, blue, and grey shades as a direct reference to one of All Condition Gear’s most famous offerings. What do you think of the look? Be sure to check out more photos below and know that you can grab this colorway from select international retailers like Caliroots today.

The Nike Air Max 90 Gets The Upgraded Royal Treatment

Nike Sportswear continues to create premium builds of some of the most iconic retro running models in the Swoosh’s catalog, and their latest is the always-welcome Nike Air Max 90. While we’ve seen the Nike Air Max 1 Royal release with seamless suede uppers and a unique heel build, the $250 USD price point might have been a bit too steep for some people. The Air Max 90 Royal features the same additional midsole features and all-suede tooling and is rather reminiscent of what Hender Scheme brought to the table with some of their unofficial ‘homages’.

The Nike Air Max 90 Royal will be available in both a monochromatic Black and a Cool Grey colorway, each featuring just the right amount of premium Vachetta Tan accents on the lining, heel, and midsole unit for an aesthetic that should be perfect for this Fall 2016 season if you’re willing to shell out some extra cash for the reimagined retro. Check out more photos of each colorway below and grab these luxurious AM90 pairs today from select shops like Bodega for $260 USD.

Nikes Tribute To Kobes Greatest Hits Continues With Barcelona

Nike Basketball continues to reference some of Kobe’s greatest hits with this Nike Kobe 11 Barcelona slated to arrive at retailers in the near future. This “Bright Mango” rendition first appeared on the Nike Zoom Kobe 6 “Barcelona” and was inspired by Barca’s alternate uniforms at the time. Kobe is a known and devoted fan of the football club and we’ve seen plenty of Barcelona references throughout the Kobe signature series, but they’re usually given the royal and red treatment to match the iconic stripes on the team’s uniforms.

This Kobe 11 Barcelona skips out on the premium Flyknit construction this go around to instead utilize the Kobe 11 EM and its breathable, ventilated mesh and fuse combination to dramatic effect. The Bright Mango base creates a vibrant high contrast colorway with black accents on the Swoosh branding and bottom. There’s no word yet on when this Kobe 11 will arrive at retailers, but stay tuned for a release date in the near future right here on Sneaker News.

Get Spooky With The Nike Air Foamposite One Halloween (Video)

Sometimes the kids have all the luck. They don’t have the same problem that grown-up sneakerheads have to deal with like long lines, raffles that don’t come through and Yeezys are (relatively) affordable and way easier to cop. Here comes another example in the form the of upcoming Nike Air Foamposite One Halloween. The spooky-themed sneaker with it’s candy corn and pumpkin-styled graphics would look awesome in adult sizes, but this appears to be just for the GS crowd this time around. Can’t wait to see grown-ups with smaller feet try these on as their kids look on in horror. Now that’s legit scary…

For more information on this upcoming release, be sure to bookmark our Nike Air Foamposite One Halloween launch page for all the latest information, images, videos and links to buy when the it drops.

NIKE AIR MOC ULTRA 1 NIKE AIR MOC ULTRA 3 NIKE AIR MOC ULTRA 2

The unorthodox Nike Air Moc has returned for the Fall 2016 season.

Nike brought back the Air Moc early this year/late last year and the slip-on silhouette has received mixed reviews. This latest pair that we see above features a Light Taupe suede upper that has been paired up with a white Ultra sole for added comfort.

Are a fan of the Nike Air Moc? If you are, what are your thoughts on this Light Taupe colorway? Let us know in the comments below and look for this pair to hit select retailers this Fall.

Battle Ready: A First Look At The Nike Special Field Air Force 1

NIKE SFAF-1 1 NIKE SFAF-1 2 NIKE SFAF-1 3 NIKE SFAF-1 4 NIKE SFAF-1 5

In my opinion, the Nike Air Force 1 model has always had that tough and rugged aesthetic to them. They were definitely a shoe that were built to last. With that being said it makes sense to see that the AF1 is the inspiration behind the shoe you see above. Introducing the Nike Special Field Air Force 1 (Nike SFAF-1).

Previously on display at the Nike SNKRS Out The Box exhibit at the Yo?Hood show in Shanghai, the Nike SFAF-1 utilizes military-grade materials and places them on the classic Nike basketball sneaker. The shoe comes with an SFB-infused upper made out of a premium leather and extra-durable ballistic nylon. It also comes equipped with a paracord ankle strap that also serves as a handle for a matching bag that also comes with this NikeLab release. The Black upper is offset nicely by the Gum colored sole unit. Designed by Nike Sportswear footwear designer Ben Kirschner, you can expect to see the Nike Special Field Air Force 1 releasing in November for $180. Check out the deatiled images above courtesy of Sneakernews.

Author’s Take

The inspiration is spot on. Would I wear? Probably not? Would I cop, maybe. This is a dope piece to have in your collection. Serves as a nice conversation starter as well.
