Tinker Hatfield Designed Some Special Air Jordan 10s For Charity

Tinker Hatfield has once again designed some special sneakers for charity with a couple of different pairs of Air Jordan 10s.

Hatfield designed an all-black and an all-white pair of Air Jordan 10s for the Grimm Gala event which is a charity event around the NBC television show Grimm. This isn’t the first time that Hatfield has worked with the people of Grimm. Last year he created a special pair of leather Roshes that featured some of the characters on the upper which were also auctioned off at the Grimm Gala charity event. The Air Jordan 10s that he created this year featured leather uppers and drawings of the characters from the show. The shoes also came in a special box and were autographed by Tinker and Michael Jordan.

The event managed to successfully raise $386,000 to help kids and families at OHSU Doernbecher Children?s Hospital.

Remembering The Air Jordan 3 Khaki Suede

It looks like Jordan Brand has decided to bring back the Air Jordan earlier than expected. This year’s Black Friday Jordan Brand release will give us all the opportunity to pick up a pair of the beloved Nike Air Jordan 3 OG 88 True Blue. Considered to be one of the best colorways on one of the best Air Jordan models of all-time., many people are counting down the days until they can get their hands on a pair. The love for the True Blues is understandable being that shoe is an OG colorway. But what about other Air Jordan 3 colorways that aren’t OG but are considered just as exclusive? Take for example the rare Air Jordan 3 sample coming in the versatile khaki suede colorway.

Rarely do you see an Air Jordan 3 constructed in this manner, let alone in this color scheme. Did I mention the gum-like bottom sole? Too clean. It’s not not an OG colorway, but there’s no doubt that many of us would pay good money for a pair of these. Would you like to see Jordan Brand release this colorway? If so, would they sell out faster than the Air Jordan 3 True Blue?

Author’s Take

I’d love to have a pair of these. Never seen them in person being that they are samples, but I can already I would love them.

The Air Jordan 12 Wings May Be Releasing In April

Air Jordan 12 Wings 2 Air Jordan 12 Wings 1

Over the weekend the Air Jordan 12 Wings surfaced once again after getting a first look at the shoe in 2015. Today we get some updates on the potential release of the Air Jordan 12.

According to @_po2345, the Air Jordan 12 Wings will not be a general release and will be limited. How limited? Well that’s still unclear but the number we’ve been hearing as of late is 12,000 pairs. He also says that the shoe is not affiliated with Macklemore and that it is charity based and will support the Wings foundation. The most important bit of information is that the shoe is scheduled to release next month. That’s all that we know at the moment but we’ll continue updating this story as we find out more so make sure to stay tuned to Kicks On Fire.

Author’s Take

Whether this is a charity release or not, it’s a nice colorway of the Air Jordan 12. What really makes the shoe stand out are the gold hits on the eyelets and side panel. Too bad I won’t be able to get my hands on a pair.

The Air Jordan 15 Is Now Being Rumored To Release

The latest Jordan signature sneaker rumored to make a return is none of other than the Air Jordan 15. If you’re a fan of the 15s this is definitely good news for you, the only bad thing is that you’re going to have to wait until Spring of next year to get your hands on a pair.

The image of the Air Jordan 15 you see above was provided by @zsneakerheadz. The colorway on the shoe is said to be the colorway set to release next year. The shoe comes in a predominantly black upper offset by the grey accents placed on the midsole of the shoe. The color scheme is actually very similar to the pair of 15s that dropped back in ’07. Keep it locked to KoF for more news regardng this future release.

Author’s Take

The Jordan 15 is a very odd looking shoe. I wouldn’t call it ugly, just different. If the right colorway release I wouldn’t be against picking up a pair.

First Look At The Air Jordan 1 High Nouveau Snakeskin

AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH NOUVEAU SNAKESKIN 1 AIR JORDAN 1 HIGH NOUVEAU SNAKESKIN 2

The Air Jordan 1 Nouveau collection was created as a premium line of Air Jordan 1 models. A few years back Jordan Brand released several different versions of the Air Jordan 1 Mid constructed out of premium suede and leather materials. There’s no doubt that the shoes were made better than what we’re used to seeing on the Air Jordan 1 models, but being that they came in an Air Jordan 1 Mid opposed to the Air Jordan 1 High, a lor of people ended up sleeping on the. Now Jordan Brand has decided to put the Nouveau treatment on the Air Jordan 1 High. Today we take a look at the Air Jordan 1 High Nouveau Snakeskin.

Right off the bat, the first thing that you notice is that the shoe does not come in a premium suede or leather construction, instead it opts to come in an all-black faux snakeskin upper to give the shoe the luxe effect. The cut-out Nike Swoosh on the side panels reveal a mesh underlay. Offsetting the all-black look are the red accents on the Wings branding, lining and outsole. Lastly, a white midsole cleans up the shoe a bit. Stay tuned to find out when Jordan Brand decides to drop these.

Author’s Take

Although I don’t have any Nouveau Jordan 1s, I appreciate the premium look and feel of it. But in my opinion, I’d rather have a premium suede or leather instead of a faux-snakeskin upper.

The low-top version of the Air Jordan 9 doesn?t actually look that bad. However I?m not a fan of University Blue so I wouldn?t pick up this colorway. I?m sure that many people do look forward to this release though.

Author?s Take

I don?t really mess with the original Air Jordan 9 so a low-top version doesn?t make me look twice. The colorway is decent but Jordan Brand should have made this a mid.

Air Jordan 15 Retro Releasing In 2017

The last Tinker Hatfield-designed Air Jordan of Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls reign is indeed the Air Jordan XV, a radically designed sneaker that took cues from fighter plans and made use of woven uppers. Originally releasing in 1999/2000, the Air Jordan 15 doesn’t quite hold the esteem as earlier Tinker-penned designs, but it did mark another Player Exclusive era for Jordan Brand. The Air Jordan 15 has never been re-released with the exception of the Jordan Flight Club release in 2007 and the Countdown Pack release in 2008, but it looks like the fifteenth Air Jordan in the legacy is set for a return in Spring 2017. Your thoughts on this Air Jordan model?

There?s only a handful of Air Jordan 1 Lows that really catch my eye that I would even consider buying. Unfortunately this isn?t one of them. Clean and simple colorway but just not for me.

A Restock Of The Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement Is Going Down This Week

Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement 1 Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement 2 Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement 3 Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement 4 Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement 5 Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement 6 Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement 7 Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement 8

Considered one of the best (if not THE best) release of 2016 so far, the Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement released almost exactly one month ago today during NBA All Star Weekend. Everyone was happy to see an OG colorway of the Air Jordan 4 return especially since it featured Nike Air branding on the heel. While the shoe didn’t sell out instantly as many people expected, it did sell out a day or two after the release date. But not everyone was able to pick up a pair. Some people may have not liked it intially when looking at pictures but when they saw them in person they changed their mind. Others maybe didn’t have the money to buy them at the time. The point is that there’s many reason why people who wanted or want a pair now weren’t able to grab one last month.

Whatever the reason may be today we have some really good news for those of you that are looking to add a pair to your collection or even those that want a 2nd or 3rd pair. The Air Jordan 4 OG 89 White Cement will be restocking this upcoming Wednesday (March 16th) at retailers that include Foot Locker, Eastbay and Footaction. The restock will have pairs in mens and GS so everyone will get a second chance. Will you be picking up a pair when the restock goes down?
