Sneakers In 4K: Air Jordan 4 Dunk From Above (Video)

Set to drop this weekend is the Air Jordan 4 Dunk From Above, the continuation of the Air Jordan Dunk From Above that also includes the Air Jordan 5 Low Dunk From Above. While the 5 Low was a mildly controversial with its low-cut look, the 4 is dropping in traditional cut but in a bold new colorway that is surely to get people talking one way or another. Considering how popular the Air Jordan 4 silhouette is, don’t expect this to stay on store shelves too long, especially after people see this pair in stunning 4K HD as part of our Sneakers In 4K video series.

For more information on this release, check out our Air Jordan 4 Dunk From Above launch page where you’ll find more images, news, videos and places where you’ll be able to buy them on release day.

A Detailed Look At The Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone

It was only a matter of time before Jordan Brand made the infamously exclusive ‘Pantone’ colorways available at retail. The Air Jordan 9 Low “Pantone” is first up, as that North Carolina shade of University Blue dominates the upper in all of its monochromatic nature to contrast a simple black lining and white midsole. The silhouette choice is a surprising one – we haven’t seen an Air Jordan 9 Low in quite some time, but the Jumpman does plan to bring snakeskin materials to a Bred theme along with an all-red affair in the foreseeable future. This “Pantone” look is rumored to release at retail on June 11th for $170 USD. Be sure to check out more of this Jordan 9 Low below and we’ll keep you updated on all of the latest Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Sneaker Grails: The Hypothetical Air Jordan Vote Back

Here’s a thought for this edition of Sneaker Grails….

Someday in the near future there will be an actual Air Jordan Day. It could be the day Michael Jordan was born or the day he signed with Nike or the release date of the very first Air Jordan. Whatever the case is, sneaker culture will absolutely go apes**t over an Air Jordan Day because we already do it every Saturday (Want proof? Wait until the Air Jordan 12 Flu Game and Air Jordan 11 Space Jam come back.), so why not make it official?

On that hypothetical Air Jordan Day, there will be a Vote Back, similar to what they’re doing with Air Max Day right now. Nike will let us choose one and only one Air Jordan to retro once more. Regardless of its rarity before, this time it will be a general release and for everybody that votes for the winning shoe, they will be guaranteed an opportunity to buy a pair. That’s right; no worrying about bots, resellers and hypebeasts. All you need to make your dream come true is a vote and hope that your pick wins.

So what will you choose? The Air Jordan 4 Playoffs that MJ wore to take down the Cavs with The Shot complete with “Nike Air” branding? How about the elusive Air Jordan 2 Eminem that any Jordan collector would consider a must-have? What if you could bring back the Air Jordan 5 Tokyo 23? The Air Jordan 11 Silver Anniversary with a Jumpman for everybody? Or maybe you missed out on something recent like the Air Jordan 10 OVO White and/or Black and just want a clean shot at the kicks. Are you a Slam Dunk fan and you couldn’t believe that you took the L on the Air Jordan 6 tribute? The choice is yours.

Unlike the Nike Air Max Vote Back, where sneakerheads are just picking the latest models that just dropped and forgetting about the OGs, there’s a good chance that won’t be the case with a possible Air Jordan Vote Back. With so much information and attention being paid to Air Jordans both new and old, everybody that claims to be a sneakerhead owns everything there is to know about Air Jordans. They may not know what Roman Numerals are, but they know their Js.

While the Air Max Vote Back has 100 choices, let’s keep it simple and limit the picks to 20 (mostly because the poll would explode if it had to go above 20). It’s a mix of retros that have been brought back a million times over, some of the most hyped general releases of the past few years and a few rarities. What will you choose?

Air Jordan 4 White/Cement Restocking On March 16th

Good news for those of you that missed out on one of February’s biggest releases: the coveted Air Jordan 4 White Cement will be re-stocking at retailers like Eastbay, Champs, and Foot Locker on March 16th. This year’s Air Jordan 4 Retro was special given the fact that the Jumpman branding was replaced throughout by a more traditional ‘Nike Air’ branding. The $220 price point reflected the change, as Jordan Brand attempted to release a one-to-one replication of Mike’s 1989 classic. Will you be vying for this pair on the restock? For those of you that can’t wait for this upcoming release, know that the White/Cement 4s are available right now on eBay.

Jordan Brand Has Big Plans For The Air Jordan 12 In 2016

Already dropping the popular new “The Master” colorway, things look to be getting even more serious for the Air Jordan 12 Retro as the year progresses. Today we get a first look at two more brand-new colorways for the iconic sneaker, headlined by the “Wings” version. Rumored to be limited to only 12,000 pairs, the premium Air Jordan 12 “Wings” will feature the classic “Playoffs” colorway with a couple of twists: premium black leather and metallic gold midfoot tabs inscribed with WINGS?apparently a nod to the famous Michael Jordan “Wings” poster. Somewhat less notable but still what looks to be a great new colorway, the Air Jordan 12 will be dropping in a clean grey, white, and blue look. Preview both new Air Jordan 12s here, and stay tuned to Sneaker News for further details and release information for each.

Our Best Look Yet At The Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone

Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone 6 Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone 4 Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone 1 Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone 5 Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone 2

These past few days have brought us several different images of the Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone that managed to give us a pretty solid look at the entire shoe. Not too long ago, all we had was a close-up shot of the shoe that didn’t really show much, but these latest images of the shoe show it from different many different angles to give us a real good feel for what the shoe is going to look like.

The new images show that the shoe will in fact come in an all-Pantone (Carolina blue) upper done out of a leather and suede construction. The tonal appearance of the shoe is contrasted by the white accents found on the sole unit and “23” branding on the tongue. In addition to the white accents, there are also hits of black placed on the Jumpman globe branding on the heel, lining and tongue tag of the shoe. An additional Jumpman is spotted on the midsole to complete the major attributes of the shoe. Once we get the release date, will these Air Jordan 9 Lows be on your watch list? Sound off in the comments below.

This has potential to do well since the Pantone colorway is highly coveted on Jordan Brand sneakers. This Air Jordan 9 Low may actually do well for itself.

The Air Jordan 12 Wings Is Said To Be Limited To Only 12,000 Pairs

According to zsneakerheadz, the the Air Jordan 12 Wings we showed you yesterday could be very limited if/when it ends up releasing. How limited? About 12,000 pairs. It’s also being rumored that the shoe could also possibly come in a special white Jordan Brand box like the one you see above.

The new image of the shoe shows that this new colorway closely resembles the Air Jordan 12 Playoffs. With the only major difference being the addition of the Gold accents placed on the eyelets and midsole region of the shoe. The gold placed on the midsole region also had the words “WINGS” placed on it, hence the nickname of the shoe. Another feature on the shoe that cannot be seen on this picture is the “Wings” logo from the classic poster being placed on the heel. No word yet on when the shoe will release but there are rumors circulating that this may be a Fall season release.

I like it. Black, white and gold..what’s not to love? Sad to hear that they may be limited to only 12,000. If you thought the Air Jordan 12 The Master release surprised you in how fast they sold, wait until people begin to her these are limited to 12,000. There goes my chance at getting a pair.

The Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar Is Not Afraid To Floss!

Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 5 Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 2 Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 4 Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 3 Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar 1

For the most part, all of the Air Jordan 5 Low models that we know about this year have been a bit uninspiring. Aside from the majority not liking the look of the Air Jordan 5 Low, a lot of people are also complaining that the colors are boring or simply lazy. The upcoming Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar, is anything but as the shoe comes covered in a 3M upper!

Said to pay homage to one of the greatest soccer players in the world, the entire shoe’s upper comes covered in 3M detailing. If that wasn’t enough to garner people’s attention the shoe also features cement speckling all over the upper, Infrared and black detailing throughout the shoe, and Neymar?s number 10 and Jordan’s number 23 by the heels of both shoes. We still have no idea when the shoe will release or how limited it’s going to be, but were pretty sure it’s garnering more interest than any of the Air Jordan 5 Low models we’ve seen this year.

via: realchickenwop

Author?s Take

I have a feeling that the shoe will do better than any of the Air Jordan 5 Low releases we’ve seen all year. Not only does it look flashy, but a lot of soccer/Neymar fans are going to want to get a pair as well.

Whos Hyped To Hear That The Air Jordan 16 Midnight Navy Is Returning

Last month we got confirmation that the Air Jordan 16 Midnight Navy was going to get the retro treatment sometime this year. Although we still do not know when the shoes are going to drop, a new image of the shoe recently surfaced. Today we get a look at the backside of the shoe.

The Air Jordan 16 originally released back in 2001. Ever since, we only saw the shoe release one more along with the Air Jordan 7 as a part of the CDP. The shoe comes in a white leather upper contrasted by the Midnight Navy placed throughout the shoe such as on the lining,  shroud, toebox, tongue and midsole. This is the type of Jordan that people either hate or love. What side do you fall one? Stay tuned for more info and images regarding this potential release.

via: zsneakerheadz

Author?s Take

The shroud is the main distinct feature on the shoe. If you like the shroud you probably like the shoe. I’m not sold on the JB release, the colorway is decent but not on this model.

Another Look At The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Metallic Navy

Last weekend we let you know that the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG Metallic Navy was set to get the retro and remastered treatment. Only one picture of the shoe was available last week but today we have another image of the shoe to give you a better idea of what the shoe is setto look like.

This OG colorway of the Air Jordan 1 that initially released back in 1985 is making a comeback 21 years later. I’m pretty sure a lot of our readers are smiling ear to ear the moment they heard this news. Very simple in color scheme, the Air Jordan 1 High comes constructed out of a white leather upper that’s nicely contrasted by the hits of Metallic Navy placed all over the shoe in areas such as the lining, outsole, collar, Wings branding, Nike Swoosh on the side panels and of course, the Nike Air branding on the tongue. White laces and a white midsole complete the major features on the shoe. Said to be dropping on June 4th for $160, are you looking forward to this release?

Author?s Take

Underrated OG colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High. The fact that it will come with Nike branding makes me feel like it’s going to be a hot commodity come June.

Jordan Brand Already Gave Shane McMahon A Pair Of The Air Jordan 12 French Blue

Air Jordan 1 Chicago, check. Air Jordan 2 Wing It, check. Air Jordan 12 French Blue, TBD. Ever since making his return to the WWE, Shane McMahon has been seen wearing a couple of different Air Jordan sneakers to WWE events. Of course, Jordan Brand took notice when they saw him wearing the Air Jordan 1 Chicago, so they took it upon themselves to gift Shane a pretty sweet care package full of Jordan retros. The only shoe we were sure that Shane received in the care package was the Air Jordan 2 Wing It. We now possibly know that another one of the pairs was the Air Jordan 12 French Blue. Does Shane like them? Just check out the tweet above and see for yourself. Will Shane make an appearance on RAW tomorrow night? If so, will he be wearing the French Blue 12s? Is this the best retro that he’s worn? With the shoe set to release March 26th for $190, be sure to keep up with our Air Jordan 12 French Blue for all the latest information regarding this upcoming release.

Official Photos Of The Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Midnight Navy

Jordan Brand has been revamping the Air Jordan 1 Low as of late by adding the OG ‘Nike Air’ branding on the tongue and bringing back a number of original colorways to the low-top. The likes of Bred, Royal, Shadow, Varsity Red, and now this oft-forgotten ‘Midnight Navy’ shade have all created an original aesthetic despite most only being featured on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. The Navy portions came equipped with a Metallic sheen when originally released in 1985, but here the Jumpman skips out on that tooling for matte look. Check out Nike’s official images of the latest Air Jordan 1 Retro Low pair and grab your size on March 19th for $130 USD.

The Latest Look On The Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone

The more we see of the Air Jordan 9 Low Pantone, the better feeling we have that they are in fact going to release at some point down the line. Today we take a look at the latest image that shows the shoe in its entirety.

The Jordan 9 Low comes in a Pantone (light blue) leather upper complimented by tonal laces and the dark grey hits found on the lining, and branding on the tongue and heel. A red insole is found inside, while the Jumpman on the all-white sole unit also comes in light blue. With the success the Pantone colorway has had on Jordans in the past, do you think this Air Jordan 9 Low has the potential of selling out fast? Let us know in the comments below if you plan on picking up a pair if and when Jordan Brand announces a release date.

I’ve never been much of a Pantone guy. At the end of the day, it’s a baby blue shoe, and I really don’t mess with that hue regardless of the hype surrounding it.
