The Brightening Air Jordan 9 Low Infrared

With the Air Jordan 9 Low Black/White dropping next month, a bright rendition of the silhouette will be offered this Spring 2016 as well.

Sporting an eye-catching colorway of Infrared, the defining tone is essentially prominent across its smooth and textured leather upper, in addition to its rubble sole unit. To perfectly offset the dominant hue, black is implemented on the tongue, laces, inner lining, subtle speckling on its midsole and branding throughout.

Executing a solid two-tone theme, the model is rounded out with lime green accents gracing the heel tab branding. Retailing for $170, this variation of the Air Jordan 9 is expected to arrive in the following months.

Stay tuned in to KicksOnFire for further updates.

Author’s Take

I’d prefer it in its original cut, but this colorway is pretty solid in this profile as well. I’m biased towards the palette in general. I think it’ll sell.

The Air Jordan 17 Brings The Luxury Look And The Luxury Price (Video)

People always like to talk about the impact the Air Jordan line has had on casual wear and how some of them have become more lifestyle and less performance. However, that designation has rarely ever been applied to the Air Jordans after MJ’s Chicago Bulls playing days, but one shoe that definitely deserves a look as a luxury piece is the upcoming Air Jordan 17 Copper. Worn by His Airness during his final years in the NBA as a member of the Washington Wizards, the shoe’s croc skin features and metallic hits make it stand out from other 17s that Jordan wore but also from most Jordans. We’re finally getting a retro release soon so it will be interesting to see how this performs.

Croc Textured Leather Appears On The Jordan Horizon

The Jordan Horizon looks to switch up its look a bit by coming out with a premium version that completely changes the aesthetics of the shoe. For the most part, the Horizon comes dressed in a mesh upper, this time around Jordan Brand covers the shoe in a croc-textured black leather.

Opting to go with an all-black look, the Jordan Horizon’s upper is constructed entirely out of the aforementioned black croc textured leather. The Jumpman on the tongue tag also comes in black, as do the laces, eyelets and lining. Below you will find the customary Air Jordan 13 sole unit also coming in the same black colorway. The only part of the shoe that does not come in black is the red found in the herringbone traction on the outsole. No release date yet, but let us know what you think about this premium look on the Horizon.

Author’s Take

In my opinion, the Horizon looks way to similar to the Future, that’s why it never garnered my attention. Seeing it dressed in this manner gives the shoe its own style and look. I like it, I’m just afraid that Jordan Brand is going to price it similar to the Jordan Future Premium.

Two Shades Of Grey On This New Air Jordan 1 Low

23 shades of grey. Jordan Brand has often had to pick between Wolf Grey and the time-honored Cool Grey shades when dressing up a pair of retros, but today’s Air Jordan 1 Low brings both to a collaborative middle ground where everyone wins. The lowtop Air Jordan 1 has had all kinds of success being brought back in OG colorways featuring the ‘Nike Air’ branding on the tongue and an original Wings logo on the heel. This pair reverts back to standard Jumpman branding while the grey combination rests on a clean white midsole. It’s a simple offering for every day use thanks to the tonal qualities. Check out the latest AJ1 Low below and know that retailers like Kentucky’s own Oneness has this pair in stock today.

Marcus Jordan Says The Jordan Brand Holiday 2016 Will Be Epic

Jordan Brand‘s holiday release are still more than a “few” months away, but Marcus Jordan is letting us know that this year’s holiday releases are going to be amazing! He took to his twitter to let it be known that he got a sneak peak of the Jordan Brand and Nike sneakers releasing at the end of the year and he feels that it’s pure fire (judging by the choice of emojis he went with). He also made a statement saying that Jordan Brand is looking for revenge, what that means remains to be seen, but it appears like Jordan Brand is pulling out all the stops this holiday. We already know about the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam 20th Anniversary release, as well as the Air Jordan 3 True Blue OG, but what else could Jordan Brand plan on releasing? I guess only time will tell.

KoF Live: Sneakerheads Review The Air Jordan 4 Dunk From Above (Video)

When you get a professional reviewing a sneaker, you expect a few things. Maybe you want to hear about what the traction is like on the sneaker and whether or not it collects dust. There’s the cushioning and if the shoe can withstand the rigors of an intense game of basketball. Then there are those who don’t care for any of that and just want to know if it looks good and if it has “Nike Air” on the back or a Jumpman.

But there are times when you want to go straight to the source. Talk to the people who line up on Saturday hoping to cop a pair. The poor kid who has missed out on release after release online because of bots but gets back up because they think this is their weekend. Or maybe the guys who want to reclaim past glory when they used to dunk on fools and score 50 points in a game. They have stories they want to tell too.

We talked to those people. They were in New York City and we showed them a pair of the Air Jordan 4 Dunk From Above that is set to drop today to review in this very special (in 4K no less) edition of KoF Live. The results? Nothing short of magical. You’ll laugh and cry and maybe cry some more. It’s like SneakSmarts but with sneakers instead trick questions.

Now are you curious for today’s release? Check out our Air Jordan 4 Dunk From Above launch page for all the latest news, images and links to buy.

Marcus Jordan Shows Off An Air Jordan 9 Low Golf Cleat

air jordan 9 low golf 1 air jordan 9 low golf 2 air jordan 9 low golf 3 air jordan 9 low golf 4

Marcus Jordan took to his Twitter account today to give us a first good look at an unexpected sneaker that may be arriving at retailers later this year. With the Air Jordan 9 Low Black/White set to release later this year, it seems like there will also be a golf cleat version of the shoe.

This golf cleat version of the Air Jordan 9 Low features the same exact color scheme as the basketball version of the Air Jordan 9 Low and comes with a black leather upper with textured detailing on the mudguard and heel. The inner liner and branding on the heel and tongue has been done in red as well. The only change comes with the sole unit which as you can see has been modified to function properly on the golf course.

Any golf fans out there looking to get your hands on these? There is no confirmed release date yet but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more.

Author’s Take

I’m not a fan of golf (or the Air Jordan 9) so this shoe really does nothing for me. Hopefully fans of the sport or silhouette are excited about this potential release though.

First previewed on the site last month, we now get a much better look at this upcoming vibrant colorway of the Air Jordan 9 Low courtesy of some new on-feet images.

Covered in a bright Infrared hue from head to toe, this will mark the first time that we will see the colorway of the Air Jordan 9 arrive at retailers. In addition to the Infrared leather upper we see contrasting black accents land on the tongue, inner liner, laces, Jordan branding on the heel, midole and outsole, and the speckling on the midsole. Lime green detailing also shows up on the heel and on the Air Jordan branding on the tongue to provide some more contrast.

An exact release date has not been announced yet but we expect this Air Jordan 9 Low to release some time in the Spring or Summer of 2016 for a retail price of $170. What are your thoughts on this colorway? Too bright or just right?

Author’s Take

This is beginning to get out of hand. I’m not sure how many people actually like the Air Jordan 9 Low silhouette to begin with, but this colorway looks like something that should only be placed on a Roshe. Not a good look Jordan Brand.

This will mark the 2nd Air Jordan 4 release of 2016 and the first time ever that this Dunk From Above will be released to the public. A White midsole and gum outsole finish off the look on this Air Jordan 4 that will retail for $190.
