Nike Air Max 120 Stealth

Nobody could’ve predicted that Nike Sportswear would bring back the cultish tendencies of the Nike Air Max 120. The incredibly loud design hasn’t hit retailers since 1998, and there are a number of features that made this silhouette a polarizing offering that either inspired its fair share of fans or haters. In true go bold or go home fashion, the visible air-wielding model saw a unique web-like overlay that brought its fair share of vibrant colorways to the table, but here this muted “Stealth” pair does the exact opposite. With a white base, Metallic Silver overlays, and black branding, this is about as subtle as an AM120 could possibly get with its sleek design. What do you think? If you want to break out a less sought after model on Air Max Day, then this pair might be for you. Check out more photos below and grab your size today from spots like Renarts

Nike Just Released A Logo-Less Huarache 2K4

On the comeback in this early portion of 2016, the Kobe-Bryant-associated Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 has recently shown up in a few OG colorways, but this certainly isn’t one of them. The classic early-2000’s Nike Basketball model gets a unique new redesign, featuring perforated panels and the absence of its usual Swoosh on each lateral side. The all-white upper is accented with vibrant pops of bright crimson and silver throughout the upper and sole. If you’re feeling the Swoosh-less 2K4’s, be on the look out for them soon at select Nike Sportswear retailers.

Nike To Release Air Max Models Designed By Hiroshi, Tinker, and Mark Parker

Air Max Day 2016 is almost here, and Nike Sportswear has plenty of awesome releases planned for the festive occasion. From a bevy of enticing retros, three Nike Air Max Zero releases, and exclusive Air Max models designed by the likes of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Tinker Hatfield, and Mark Parker, the celebration of visible air will once again be a very special occasion. Nike Sportswear enlisted the holy triumvirate that is HTM to each design their own unique Air Max offering and what we’re left with is a minimalist LD-based design from Hiroshi in the Nike Air Max LD-Zero; a bold Nike Air Max 90 turned Ultra Superfly from Tinker; and a new take on the Nike Air Max Ultra from Mark Parker. Which design is your favorite? The trio will release tomorrow, March 26th at retailers worldwide like Hype DC in Australia and other select stores around the globe.

Buy, Pass, Wait: Nike Air Max Vote Back, adidas Easter Collection

The rare Jordan-less weekend has left us with an Air-filled edition of Buy, Pass, Wait. With Nike Air Max Day about to hit, we take a look at the HTM releases that are sure to be tough to get and our choices for the Air Max Vote Back (spoiler: it’s a clean sweep). And since Easter is this Sunday, we also weigh in on both Nike and adidas’ offerings for the holiday.

What Shoe Did You Vote For In The Nike Air Max Vote Back?

Nike Air Max Vote Back Atmos Elephant

Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: I lobbied hard for the Atmos Elephant to take the Nike Air Max Vote Back. When the first polls came back, I was actually shocked and appalled and disgusted by what pairs were in the lead. So yes, with one day to go let’s all make a pact and do the right thing by voting for one of the best Air Max 1s ever made to make a proper retro release. It’s been too long.

Juan Carrillo, News: Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant. Everything about this shoe is amazing. Elephant print, clean. Color blocking, perfection. The jade Swoosh, pure icing on the cake. Do the right thing and bring these bad boys back.

Andres Carrillo, News: I voted for the Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant. There’s just something that looks so clean about elephant print on an Air Max 1 and those hits of teal give the shoe a nice pop. It’s not like I’ll be able to get a pair if they do release anyway so I’m not even really thinking about it.

Renz Ofiaza, News: Air Max 1 Atmos Elephant. I still remember how sought after these were when it initially released in 2007. I sold a pair of Dunks in order to have money for it but I missed out badly. That Teal Swoosh and elephant print, plus the overall colorway was just a dream come true for me.

Nike Air Max HTM Pack (Pick One)

EIC Juan: Nike Air Max LD-Zero H

Nike
Nike

It’s so Hiroshi to make something unexpected yet totally chill. Placing the upper of the Roshe LD-1000 on an Air Max 2014 sounds like a bad idea until you see it person. Now it looks like perfectly normal pair of Air Max kicks, but with the HTM moniker attached to it, don’t expect this to last long in stores.

News Juan: Nike Air Max LD-Zero H

Nike
Nike

Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Nike Air Max Zero-LD H is the pair that caught my eye the most. I’m not too crazy about the upper, but I’m a fan of the Air Max sole on the shoe. I’m unsure as to whether or not these will sell out, but I’m willing to risk it and wait it out to see if I could get these at a discounted price somewhere down the road. If I manage not to, I will survive.

Andres: Nike Air Max Ultra SuperFly T

Nike
Nike

I’m not really a fan of any of the Air Max HTM releases but if I had to pick one to buy it would be the Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Superfly T designed by Tinker Hatfield. I’m a fan of the Air Max 90 so adding a Flyknit collar and Ultra sole unit could only make it more comfortable, right? The only bad thing is that it kind of looks like a soccer cleat.

Renz: Nike Air Max Ultra M

Nike
Nike

I would consider the T model as well, but I’m more for low-top silhouettes. The build and colorway on this pair is pretty appealing in general and I’m just a fan of the classic design.

Nike Basketball Easter Collection (Pick One)

EIC Juan: Nike Kyrie 2 Easter

Nike
Nike

I’ve never been a fan of most of the Easter releases from Nike or adidas and that’s sad considering I have no shame when it comes to wearing brightly colored kicks. So when I pick the Nike Kyrie 2 Easter, it’s a half-hearted pick.

News Juan: Nike Kobe 11 Easter

Nike
Nike

I would not pick any of them, but since I’m forced to, I’d go with the Nike Kobe 11. I guess you could say it’s the one I dislike the least. Overall though, the entire pack is a pass, especially the LeBron 13, yuck.

Andres: Nike Kyrie 2 Easter

Nike
Nike

The Kyrie 2 is easily the best shoe out of the entire pack. It’s the only one that actually looks like it has an Easter theme to it. The only problem is that you’d only be able to wear these during Easter cause wearing shoes with graphics of eggs on them would look strange on any other day. Haha.

Renz: Nike Kyrie 2 Easter

Nike
Nike

Overall, I’m a fan of the model. I like how the theme was only placed on the rear and outsole. It’s aesthetically pleasing with an all-white upper as well.

adidas Basketball Easter Collection

EIC Juan:

adidas
adidas

It’s slightly better than the Nike Easter stuff, but that’s not really a compliment. As somebody who loves the severely underrated and heavily ignored Rose 6, this will be the one to get when it drops in price in a few weeks.

News Juan: adidas D Lillard 2 Easter

adidas
adidas

I’m not crazy about the colors used, and excess of pink on the shoe, but if it goes down in price, I wouldn’t mind waiting to pick up a pair.

Andres: adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5 Andrew Wiggins PE

adidas
adidas

Adidas did a great job with this Easter colorway of the Crazylight Boost 2.5. I like how they only used the egg dye print on the forefoot and left the Primeknit upper white. The small hits of pink are also a good look. If you ball on Easter this is the shoe to do it in.

Renz: adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5 Easter

adidas

In this theme, I actually like the model. I generally don’t, but the color combo on this pair is pretty nice. It can definitely be suitable for females also, but too much pink for my taste.

Warm Accents On The Nike Air Max 90 Heat Map

Following an official overview, the Nike Air Max 90 Heat Map edition is given a closer look, particularly showcased in an editorial setting.

Listed exclusively for GS sizes only, the popular runner is essentially defined by its multicolor upper that takes cues from thermal imagery, which showcases infrared radiation into an electronic image in various shades consisting of red, orange, yellow, green and blue.

To offset the vibrant theme, black is utilized for the leather mudguard, inner lining, laces and midsole unit. Additional pops of red are implemented on the outsole, tongue tag and visible bubble unit in the heel to further pronounce its design.

Look for this standout pair at select Nike accounts on Saturday, March 26th.

Author’s Take

It would’ve been cool if the sneaker’s upper changed temperatures when worn. The theme is appealing nonetheless and perfect for the spring/summer season.

Following the release of its “Strong As Steel” variation, the Nike MetCon 2 is reinterpreted in another finish, this time dubbed “Strength In Bloom.”

Additionally, contrasting white accents are applied on the Swoosh branding and heel counter to cap off the eclectic palette. If you’re interested in purchasing, find it at Nike retailers on Monday, March 28th for a retail price tag of $140.

Author’s Take

I’m a fan of the model’s sleek profile. The inspiration and overall colorway is cool, but it’s not for my taste. It’s suitable for all genders though.

Subtle pops of Racer Blue are implemented on the Swoosh branding and rear portion of its outsole for a nice sense of contrast, while a clean white sole unit finishes off the composition.

Further detailed by a revamped air bubble unit in the heel, you can find this variation of the silhouette at select Nike retailers overseas first.

Author’s Take

If you’re a Knicks, Mets, Islanders fan, this pair is perfectly suited for the teams. I’m generally a fan of the model and this is a solid offering.
