A Detailed Look At The Nike Air Presto Pure Platinum

You knew the colorway was coming, but today we finally get an official look at the Nike Air Presto “Pure Platinum”. This year’s Nike Presto retro has been to 2016 what the Nike Air Huarache was to 2013. The bold style of the archival running model has fit as perfectly into today’s release calendar as it did in the early 2000s when first introduced as a revolutionary model advertised as a t-shirt for your feet. Now the “Triple White” look finally lands on the sleek design as a breathable mesh base sees a traditional milky translucent white support overlay and Pure Platinum branding on the heel. Check out more detailed photos below and know this pair releases on May 5th, 2016.

A Nike SB Dunk Low Inspired By Leftover Pizza, Yum!

image5 image1 image3 image4 image6 image2 image7

You ever have a late night craving for some greasy fast food? You’re thinking of what you can eat and then BAM! You remember that you have some of that leftover pizza that you bought for dinner.

This upcoming colorway of the Nike SB Dunk Low is inspired by that very moment. As you can see, the popular silhouette from Nike SB has been hit with a metallic silver upper that is meant to resemble crinkled up aluminum foil. The insoles have then been hit with a graphic of some delicious pepperoni pizza. Adding to the look are black accents on the tongue, laces, inner liner, outsole and the Swoosh branding. A white midsole has also been added for good measure.

No exact release date is available yet but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Author’s Take

Leftover pizza is one of the best late night meals of all-time. Some how some way the cold pizza taste just as good as the moment you bought it. The pair of SB Dunks is cool I just wish there would have been more pizza inspiration on the upper of the show.

Before Kobe Bryant was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers he was a star in Philadelphia as a member of the basketball team for Lower Merion High School. Kobe is one of the few NBA players that made the direct jump from high school to the pros and the first guard to do so.

Nike will be honoring Kobe’s time at Lower Merion with this special colorway of the Nike Kobe 11. Known as the Lower Merion/Aces colorway, this Kobe 11 switches out the Flyknit upper in exchange for engineered mesh. The majority of the sneaker has been done in Cool Grey with Team Red accents landing on the Swoosh, tongue and heel branding and the Flywire on the bottom two eyelets.

You can find the Nike Kobe 11 Aces at select Nike retailers beginning on April 9th for $160. Will you cop? Let us know down below.

Author’s Take

Not sure why Nike used an engineered mesh upper instead of Flyknit. I think the shoe would have looked a lot better with a Flyknit upper.

An On-Feet Look At The Spring-Ready Nike Air Icarus

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

The Nike Air Icarus made its triumphant return earlier this year. After stepping away from the limelight for many years, the model that was created way back in 1991 is now back in action right on time for the Spring season. Today we take a look at three different colorways that are all already available for purchase.

The first pair comes in a white upper heavily contrasted by the neon volt hits placed on the overlays. Black hits can be seen on the tongue and Nike Swoosh. The second pair comes in a white upper contrasted by the hits of forest green and royal blue placed on the Nike Swoosh and heel of the shoe. Lastly, the third pair also comes in white while being offset by the cherry and purple accentt placed on the branding and heel region of the shoe. All pairs will be resting atop a matching clean white midsole unit, thus completing the aesthetics of the shoe. Available now all around the globe, you can pick up a pair for the retail price of $100.

Author’s Take

It definitely has the vintage look to them. Not really sure what the comfort is like, but as far as the looks go, I can see myself wearing the white pair with hits of green and blue. That would be a dope shoe for the summer.

This Is What The Nike Free Flyknit NSW Triple Black Looks Like On-Feet

Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset Processed with VSCO with hb2 preset

The Nike Free Flyknit NSW was unveiled in 2015, so it’s still considered a fairly new model. Today we take a look at a tonal offering of one of Nike latest running shoes. Boasting a Flyknit upper and a Free sole, the shoe manages to utilize some of the Nike’s most popular innovations. Let’s check out some on-feet shots of the Nike Free Flyknit NSW Triple Black that looks just as good on the track as it does outside of it.

The stealth looking Nike Free Flyknit NSW comes dressed in an all-black Flyknit upper that also includes the Flywire, hyperfuse and branding on the heel. Continuing the fluidity appearance of the shoe is the all-black Nike Free 5.0 sole unit that rests under the base of the shoe. Black laces and lining complete the monochromatic look of the shoe. Available now internationally, stores such as BSTN will be happy to ship you out a pair!

Author’s Take

Don?t get me wrong, I love the look of the shoe, I just can?t stand the build of it. Flyknit is all good, but the Nike Free tooling I can?t mess with. For that reason I have to pass once they arrive stateside.

Light, comfortable, breathable and stylish are some of the main reasons why many people continue to buy the Roshe Run. These new women’s tonal colorways have the Flyknit upper dressed in hues such as Orange, Blue/Teal, Purple/Crimson and Grey. All pairs have a stitched Nike Swoosh on the side panels and a white traditional sole down below. The bolder offerings are great for the Spring, but to be honest with you, you really can’t go wrong with any pair that you decide to pick up.

Substitute the Nike Free 5.0 sole in exchange for a Lunarlon sole and I?m all over them. I just can?t do Free soles. Overall, it’s a real good looking shoe.

The Nike Free Hypervenom 2 was just featured yesterday as a part of Nike’s 2016 F.C. Collection alongside the Nike Air Footscape Magista, and Nike Tiempo Vetta.

Black dominated most of the upper on the pair from the F.C. Collection so it’s only right that we show you a completely different colorway that will turn many more heads this Spring/Summer. This new colorway of the Nike Free Hypervenom 2 features a bright and bold Total Crimson hue on the majority of the upper with Black detailing on the laces, tongue, eyelets, heel counter and heel tab. A White Nike Free 3.0 sole unit finishes up the look on this soccer boot that has now been transformed into a lifestyle release from Nike Sportswear.

Peep the on-feet images of the Nike Free Hypervenom 2 in the Total Crimson colorway and let us know if you this will be a cop or a pass for you.

Author’s Take

You can’t help but pay attention to a sneaker that uses such a bright color like this. The Nike Free Hypervenom 2 has never really caught my attention in the past but this Total Crimson option changes that. I wouldn’t buy this particular colorway but I’m curious to see what else releases in the future.

The shoe is really nice. I could do without the large perforations, but aside from that it’s a great addition to the Air Max Family.

Nike Flyknit Mercurial 1 Nike Flyknit Mercurial 2 Nike Flyknit Mercurial 3 Nike Flyknit Mercurial 4 Nike Flyknit Mercurial 5 Nike Flyknit Mercurial 6 Nike Flyknit Mercurial 7

For anyone who missed out on the first-ever Nike Free Flyknit Mercurial Superfly HTM, Nike is about to release a version that looks very similar to it. Today’s official images show lots of similarities but also give us a look at some differences.

To start off, some of the differences on the shoe include the speckling on the midsole (darker) and the use of more color on the shoe (heel tab/insoles). The rest of the shoe comes in an all-black Flyknit upper contrasted by the white Free sole of the shoe. Another thin worth mentioning is that Nike has officially stated that the shoe will be a part of the 2016 Nike F.C. collection. Said to be dropping tomorrow, let us know what you think about the shoe.

Author’s Take

The shoe is really nice. The only thing I would change about it would be the color of the Swoosh. The Swoosh also coming in black sort of hides it.

I usually like colored shoes instead of white, but in this case I’m a bigger fan of the white colorway of the Nike KD 8 Elite UConn PE.  It just looks much cleaner overall to me.
