The Nike Air Force 1 High Gets Fully Woven

The Nike Air Force 1‘s recent Flyknit overhaul has been a welcomed advancement to Bruce Kilgore’s iconic silhouette. While the low-top variation will be getting most of the love come this Spring/Summer season, that doesn’t mean that Nike Sportswear is leaving the Nike Air Force 1 High behind, as this new woven construction proves. A beautiful thick basket-weave construction gives an almost carbon fiber-esque aesthetic given the ominous black color selection while a crisp white traditional outsole unit adds a simple finish. What do you think of the latest textile selection for the AF1? Check out a detailed look below and know that this pair is available today from Packer Shoes.

The Curious Nike Big Swoosh Releases In Gym Red

Nike Sportswear continues to defy expectations with the introduction of the Nike Big Swoosh. The lifestyle imprint harkens back to the days of 1990s basketball dominance with the chunky Nike Air Max2 Strong serving as an inspiration. For those unfamiliar, the 2 Strong was a member of the Charles Barkley basketball line released after the iconic Nike Air Max CB2 94 (a shoe that used a rather similar midsole/outsole combination). If you were curious as to why they’re calling this updated model the Big Swoosh, look no further than the branding across the one-piece slip-on upper. The silhouette combines inspirations from Gary Payton’s The Glove model with a tongue area that looks all too much like the Nike Air Huarache. A splash of Gym Red throughout the upper for a monochromatic upper furthers the off-the-court style of this eclectic yet simple pair. Grab this NSW offering from select shops like Packer Shoes today.

The Nike Free Huarache Carnivore Returns This Month

One of the strangest “hybrid” sneakers in recent memory is making a return this month in two colorways. The Free Huarache Carnivore was introduced as a NikeLab select release, with inspiration coming from the Air Huarache and the Air Carnivore basketball shoe. The remarkable thing about the Free Huarache Carnivore is that while the shoe is a hybrid, it’s a completely new design rather than a frankenstein of existing ones. This Obsidian pair as well as a “Deep Emerald” colorway is slated to release on April 14th.

Nike Reveals Some Insane Pre-Production Samples In The Nature Of Motion Short Film

Nike’s upcoming exhibition titled The Nature of Motion for Milano Design Week 2016 showcases the abstract minds of some of their best designers, as Nike challenged their innovation team to create bold, artistic takes on the concept of natural motion. Since the inception of Nike Free, the Swoosh has wanted to find new solutions for runners who want a shoe that mimics the foot’s natural movement. What’s resulted is the Nike Free RN Flyknit featuring a new auxetic structure serving as the outsole, one that expands outwardly based on the contortion and angle of the foot. To get the creative juices flowing, these esoteric and artistic designs range from a cloud-like foam structure, the idea of running on pine needles, and more that you simply have to see to believe. NikeLab will be honoring this mindset with an exclusive release of the recently updated Nike Free RN Flyknit in honor of Milan’s dedication to sport (we’re guessing it’s the simple white and volt colorway, but we’ll keep you updated). Take a look inside Nike’s Innovation Kitchen below and stay tuned for more Nike Free updates right here on Sneaker News.

The Nike Air Huarache Ultra BR is back in black. For those of you who still have the “Triple Black” Nike Air Huarache from a few years back in your weekly rotation, you might want a Summer 2016 upgrade. Added tape on the toecap and bolstered mesh throughout make this Huarache offering one of the most breathable creations to date. The latest Triple Black Huarache offering is available today at select shops like Packer Shoes.

Author’s Take

I was a big fan of these sneakers when it initially released. I remember it very well on Scottie Pippen. Aside from the favorable colorway, I just like the overall design.

Spring is the perfect time to rock our Flyknit sneakers so whenever we see a new colorway of the Nike Flyknit Air Max we can’t help but get excited.

This new colorway of the super comfortable Flyknit sneaker has been dubbed the Chlorine Blue and features a combination of Black, White, Concord and Chlorine Blue all over the Flyknit upper. Additional Black detailing has been added on the Swoosh, inner liner, laces, and midsole that serves as a good contrast. Down below we have the traditional translucent 360 degree Air Max midsole and an icy blue outsole.

You can find this colorway of the Nike Flyknit Air Max at select retailers now for a retail price of $225. Will you cop or is this a pass for you?

Author’s Take

The Nike Flyknit Air Max is one of those shoes that I would like to buy a pair of one day but I’ve yet to come across one that I like for a price I’d be willing to pay. That $225 retail tag is just too high. This Chlorine Blue option is a pass for me.

NikeLab Has Already Created Their Own Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit

FREE RN MOTION FLYKNIT 1 FREE RN MOTION FLYKNIT 2 FREE RN MOTION FLYKNIT 3

The all-new Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit hasn’t even released to the public yet and NikeLab has already created a collaborative colorway for the upcoming Nature of Motion exhibition during Milan Design Week 2016.

Coming in an all-black Primeknit upper, this Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit is finished off with grey accents on the branding and Free sole. The Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit delivers the most natural ride yet on any of Nike?s Free Flyknit sneakers thanks to a new dual-injection technology that uses heat, instead of glue, to fuse two foams into one piece that still features an IU foam carrier and soft IP core.

The NikeLab Free RN Motion Flyknit Milan will be releasing only at NikeLab LNZ1 in Milan and on Nike.com/NikeLab in Western Europe on April 12th.

Author’s Take

Not really sure how I feel about the Nike Free RN Motion Flyknit silhouette since I haven’t seen it in person or tried it on. I’ve never owned a pair with Free technology either but this one looks comfortable. Since this colorway is limited it’s sure to sell out pretty quick.

A Woven Upper Covers The Nike Air Force 1

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 1 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 2 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 3 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 4 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 5 NIKE AIR FORCE 1 6

In order for an Air Force 1 to get lots of attention these days it either has to release a part of a collaboration (Supreme, NikeLab) or has to be a special and limited colorway. Other than that there’s so many colorways that release that people just can’t keep up.

But whenever Nike decides to use new materials on the classic silhouette people definitely pay attention (Flyknit Ultra). That is exactly the case with this new Nike Air Force 1 High that you see above which comes in a new woven upper. This particular colorway comes in all-black with minimal white detailing on the branding on the tongue, heel and the midsole/outsole.

So what do you think about this new woven Nike Air Force 1? Is it a good look? Give us your thoughts down in the comments below and cop a pair now from select retailers for $150.

Author’s Take

The woven upper reminds me of the Air Jordan Future which I’m a big fan of. I look forward to seeing what other colorways Nike will release.

Thoughts On The Nike SB Dunk Low Ishod Wair

Nike SB Ishod Wair 1 Nike SB Ishod Wair 2 Nike SB Ishod Wair 3 Nike SB Ishod Wair 4 Nike SB Ishod Wair 5 Nike SB Ishod Wair 6

Pro-skater, Ishod Wair just got another personalized version of the Nike SB Dunk Low. This time around the shoe takes the subtle route as it comes dressed in a pretty simple manner.

The low-top Dunk comes in a white leather and suede upper. The white shoe is contrasted by the black accents placed throughout the shoe such as on the Nike Swoosh, laces, outsole, lining, heel tab and tongue tag. Speaking of the tongue, the tongue tag comes with Nike SB branding as well as Ishod Wair’s name on it. No word yet on when these will drop stateside, but you can already find these at select international retailers.

Author’s Take

A little too plain and simple for me. I’d like to see more color on the shoe, considering this was made for a Pro Skater.

If you’re a fan of Griffey and his sneakers, especially during his tenure with the Seatlle Mariners, we’re happy to let you know what the classic Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Fresh Water is set me make a comeback.

The last time we were able to get our hands on this model in this colorway was back in 2011. Although it’s technically the same release, there are a few subtle differences that need to be pointed out. If you take a close look at the shoe you will notice that there are red accents on the Nike branding found on the tongue pull tab, outsole and heel. The midsole air bags also appear to come in a lighter shade. The rest of the shoe appears to come true to form. Although the shoe has an official release date of April 21st, there are some stores out there that are already selling them for $150. Looking to pick up a pair? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

When I think of 1 Griffey sneaker, this is the one that comes to mind. The shoe has that classic ’90’s trainer look. I tend to stay away from these type of shoes, but this is one that I’d like to have in my collection.
