For those of you who loved the Multi-Color array found on the Nike Kobe 11 Elite Low “4KB”, we have some good news – another variety of the 4KB is headed to retailers this summer. This alternate version utilizes an array of different red shades while speckling of white and black can be found throughout the woven upper. Premium leather details hit the Swoosh branding, heel, and tongue in a pristine white while the heel showcases an updated heel tab featuring graphics of a two-headed snake, daggers, and an hour glass to represent father time. With summer?s Champions League finals and the UEFA Euro cup approaching, Nike Football presents its latest offerings with this Spark Brilliance Pack, which also debuts the new Mercurial boot that was initially previewed at the brand’s Innovation 2016 event.

The boot was constructed to be the fastest, as the new Mercurial’s anatomical plate is aligned with the natural contours of the foot. Composed of a 40% lighter build that is also stronger and more responsive, the traction system has been revamped to promote more speed.

This latest pack is also highlighted with the return of the original Hypervenom 1 skin upper on the HyperVenom 2 silhouette, while the Magista and Tiempo finish off the line in vibrant tones with volt accents.

Other notable details include the recognizable Swoosh logo across the side panels and forefoot, in addition to custom graphics implemented on the cleats.

You can purchase the new Mercurial on May 28 via the Nike Football App, with the remaining collection arriving on May 29. The entire pack will be available at the label’s online shop beginning May 31st.

So I took a little bit of heat for something I said about the Toronto Raptors yesterday. It wasn’t from the comments or on Twitter, but rather a colleague of mine on this site who took offense to a throwaway line I wrote about the state of the Eastern Conference Finals and how easy the Cleveland Cavaliers have made this look:

There are the supporters who believe LeBron is worth even more than a billion dollars, but then again they also think LeBron has a shot in hell against either Oklahoma City or Golden State in the NBA Finals (sorry, Raptor fans) in a few weeks.

Barring some catastrophic injury, the Cavaliers are moving on to the NBA Finals in convincing fashion. It has nothing to do with the Raptors but everything to do with the hot streak the Cavs are on right now with their shooting. It doesn’t mean that reality won’t smack them in the face once they face either the Thunder or the Warriors, but they will once again represent the AAA to the Western Conference’s Major Leagues in the Finals. But let’s enjoy the Cavs dominance right now, led by LeBron James and the hot-shooting Kyrie Irving, who led the way last night in a Nike Kyrie 2 PE.

Oh, and as for the colleague of mine on this site? This is all in good fun, but also…

The big sneaker release in the upcoming week is certainly the 1-of-523 Air Jordan XX3 “Trophy Room” in white and gold. That pair will be a tough cop as only those in attendance at the Trophy Room grand opening on Monday, May 23rd will have an opportunity to cop a pair. It appears that the black/gold colorway will see a wider release on Nike.com based on these official Nike images, but release date info has yet to surface. Europe has had them for quite some time now, and now the Nike Sock Dart Black is available stateside. Earlier today, the shoe was at Nike.com, I recently checked and they now appear to be all sold out. Have no fear though, there’s a good chance that the shoes will restock at Nike as well as other begin to arrive at other participating retailers.

The all-back mesh upper is accompanied by the black translucent midfoot strap to give it the shoe that tonal look. Hits of white are placed on the heel as well as on the speckled midsole. Priced at $130, are you looking forward to picking up a pair of these?

The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 has returned in 2016 and released in the Freshwater colorway just last month.

Next up for the retro Ken Griffey Jr. silhouette is this Varsity Royal version. Covered in the bright blue hue throughout the majority of the upper as well as the inner liner, this Griffey Max 1 features bold hits of white on the side panels, midsole, heel, and on the 24 branding on the ankle strap. Black can then be seen on the tongue, midsole, outsole and on the Swoosh by the toe. Lastly we have some vibrant hits of Volt that appear by the toe, on the midsole and on the Nike checks on the strap and heel.

These new pictures make this colorway look way better than some of the earlier images. I like the Sprite-esque vibes that this colorway has. Not a bad option to rock this Summer if you want something different.

Nike has just created a new colorway of the Nike Zoom Vapor Tour 9.5 for tennis legend Roger Federer. Whether Federer will be playing in the upcoming French Open is still unknown because of injuries, but he has a special pair of kicks waiting on him if he does decide to play.

Covered in Obsidian throughout the majority of the upper, this Zoom Vapor Tour 9.5 is then accented by bright hits of Hyper Cobalt on the tongue, laces, inner liner and outsole. Total Crimson then lands on the midsole while a White Swoosh adds a nice pop to the tennis sneaker.

After getting a couple of different looks at this upcoming colorway of the Nike Kobe 11, today we get the official story/inspiration behind this unique colorway.

According to Nike, Kobe would pore over videotaped basketball games sent by his grandfather in the US, then practice every cut and drive. This was of course at a time when Kobe was living in Italy where he grew up. Taking inspiration from these viewing sessions, this new kids-only Kobe 11 features the distinctive look of old-school VHS color bars. The Wolf Grey upper is also meant to look like the fuzzy screen that you see on old tapes. This Kobe 11 features a woven mesh upper along with Black accents on the tongue, laces, inner liner and the Nike Swoosh branding.

There were several Air Jordan/Nike releases to choose from this weekend. One of the drops that appeared to fly under the radar is was the Nike Dunk High Be True To Your School pack. When I initially saw the images of both pair, the first thing that caught my eye was the quality of the leather used on the uppers. It’s been a cool minute since I’ve seen a Nike Dunk look this good material-wise, which is the main reason I’m surprised these didn’t sell out in a matter of minutes.

With that being said, both the Nike Dunk High UNLV coming in Red and Grey and the Nike Dunk Michigan rocking the Navy and Yellow look are readily available at select retailers such as BSTN for. If quality is your thing, I highly suggest you pick these up. Don’t sleep on these classic colorways.

I was really close to scooping up the Michigan colorway this weekend. The only thing that stopped me was the fact that I don’t think the Dunk High is a very comfortable shoe. I’ve been really selective when it comes to picking up shoes that aren’t to my comfort standards. There’s no denying that the leather is on point though! Nice to see these back.

Did you think that Nike’s Flyknit technology was only used to make shoes? Well think again because a man by the name of Martino Gamper has created a drum kit using the innovative material.

In the video above designer Martino Gamper talks about a project he worked on at the Nike Nature Of Motion Exhibition in Milan where he used Nike’s Flyknit material. Gamper took the Flyknit and used it in place of traditional skins on drum sets which resulted in what you see in the video above. Gamper created three different sets of drums. Gamper goes on to say that “for this project he wanted to explore the idea of rhythm. The rhythm in running, the rhythm in drumming, the rhythm in music.”
