Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 2 Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 1 Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 3 Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 4

Although not featured, this latest variation of the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 is actually part of the standout Unlimited collection, which is essentially a tribute to the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Flaunting a predominantly blacked-out profile, the vibrant multicolor theme is focalized on the ankle strap, while its stealthy makeup is further pronounced with iridescent Swooshes located across the heel. Juxtaposed against a crisp, white midsole unit and icy translucent outsole to cap off its bold, yet subdued profile, the sneaker is set to debut at select Nike retailers on August 4th.

The official retail price tag is listed at $140.

Author’s Take

I like the 9 better, even though James wore this silhouette to win the championship. I?m just not a fan of the higher build and this is too bulky for my taste. Nice colorway though.

Nike Zoom Mercurial Flyknit Spiridon Is Releasing In Squadron Blue

The Nike Spiridon series has had an eclectic multi-decade run yet is still relatively unknown given the limited release and seldom-seen retros. 2016 looks to be a banner year for the Spiridon collective though, as the original Nike Zoom Spiridon is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a number of OG colorways hitting store shelves throughout the summer. Then there’s the revamped Nike Zoom Mercurial Flyknit Spiridon, a lifestyle offering that takes the unique outsole unit and dresses the upper in a woven Flyknit high top construction to fit right in with the soccer-inspired Mercurial series while a leather heel panel adds some support. So far, we’ve seen a number of monochromatic colorways including a Triple White, but this tonal Squadron Blue might be a little easier to keep clean with the heavy use the stylish silhouette it demands. What do you think of the look? Check out more detailed photos below and we’ll keep you updated on when the Mercurial Flyknit Spiridon hits stateside retail shelves in the near future.

To follow-up on a standout collaboration with Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing, the Nike Air Footscape Magista is now rendered in midnight turquoise for its latest colorway this summer.

Defined by its breathable flyknit upper and extended sock-like collar, the components are essentially shaded in the defining hue, while contrasting accents of black are implemented on the laces, pull tabs and suede overlays on the heel. Other notable elements include tonal synthetic Swooshes across its side panels, in addition to more miniature embroidered Swooshes located across its heel.

The sneaker/soccer boot hybrid is adhered atop a clean, white phlyon midsole unit with subtle speckling to finish off the composition, as a waffle rubber outsole provides sufficient traction and durability.

Priced at $200, you can purchase a pair at select Nike retailers worldwide now.

Author’s Take

I don’t own a pair, but, I’m a big fan of the silhouette. I’m biased towards this colorway and I’d consider purchasing. You can’t go wrong with a pair.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Elite Is Ready For The Olympic Stage

This year’s Team USA Olympic basketball team has an odd mix of some old favorites like Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony and a fresh crop of some first-timers making for an unpredictable ride through the Rio Olympic games. What was also unexpected was Nike Basketball’s move to transform the Hyperdunk series into an “Elite” model with a high-arching Flyknit construction complete with a sock-like ankle collar in the Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Elite. The pair is decked out in Nike’s latest tech and also exudes an aesthetic that can thrive off the court as well with an almost Magista-esque quality. This “USA” themed pair splits the upper between Dark Obsidian on the main portion and a Bright Crimson on the medial side while that unique Zoom-infused outsole unit adds a beautiful icy touch. What do you think of the Hyperdunk 2016 Elite? Check out more detailed photos of the first premium Hyperdunk installment and know that this pair will be available at stores like Sneaker Politics on July 18th for $200 USD.

Following a sneak peek this past December 2015, another look at the upcoming Nike Roshe 2 is provided, as these inaugural colorways are expected to make its debut sometime later this year.

Staying true to its original design language, the popular lifestyle silhouette seems to be more refined than its predecessor. The upper seems to be constructed of smooth textile and additionally reinforced with side panels. Furthermore, the Swoosh is more pronounced, while the model bears an inner-bootie like collar, as it rests atop a revamped outsole.

Men’s colorways are offered in Iguana Green, Midnight Navy, and Black/Anthracite, while the women receive Atomic Pink, Grey and another variation of Black/Anthracite.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for its official release.

Author’s Take

I’m a fan of the silhouette overall and I like the refined/sleeker look. The colorways are solid so far and it should receive a lot of attention as well.

Nike Honors The 1996 Atlanta Olympics With Air Trainer SC High

Nike Sportswear is honoring the 20th anniversary of the Atlanta Olympics with this clean Nike Air Trainer SC High. It’s rare for an Olympic-themed sneaker to not feature a patriotic red, white, and blue, but this Nike retro instead opts to pay homage to the official Atlanta Olympics logo which at the time featured a 90s heavy influence of teal, gold, and a rainbow array of colors splashing on the torch. The premium build adds a unique peach logo on the tongue in honor of Georgia, America’s ‘peach state’, while a bolstered hair suede works well with a premium micro-perforated leather. The side panels even display a hidden reflective feature. Luxurious gold touches add a premium accent while a translucent outsole sees a multi-color confetti print liven up the whole affair. This Nike Air Trainer SC High “Atlanta Olympics” will arrive at select retailers on July 19th. Sneaker Grails: Unboxing The Nike Zoom Flight 96 Olympic Penny Hardaway PE (Video)

IMG_7092 IMG_7101 IMG_7112 IMG_7117 IMG_7124 IMG_7129 IMG_7132 IMG_7136 IMG_7144

Few things genuinely shock me when I pass by your run of the (Ontario) mill(s) sneaker store anymore. After several years on the job, you become numb to a few things, namely the amount of new sneakers that you see on a daily basis. Seeing them in person obviously serves a purpose and you get to see and interact with people to get a feeling for what’s really “trending” instead of just looking at the analytics of every tweet and post, but the actual joy of discovery is often times gone. It takes that special something to truly make me do a double turn and it takes something remarkable to inspire an impulse buy. The Nike Zoom Air 96 Olympic was just that sneaker.

Penny Hardaway’s Olympic player exclusive has been on my radar of must-haves since well, ’96 when he wore them in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta as part of the second Dream Team (sorry, 1994 FIBA squad). The Zoom Flight 96 featured an elegant wavy design that was typical of 90s – in a good way – design back then and it was on the feet of one of my favorite NBA players of all-time. Back in 1996 when my source for information on kicks were NBA-related magazines and whatever blurry photo I could find on the LA Times, I really thought the Zoom Flight 96 was going to be the Nike Air Penny II. That wouldn’t be the case and the Zoom Flight 96 went to become a fun footnote in Penny’s sneaker history and a surefire candidate for a future Sneaker Grails post.

I knew that the Nike Zoom Flight 96 Olympic was coming back this month, but all signs were pointing to an end of the month release. Imagine my (very pleasant) surprise when that wasn’t the case. Check out the unboxing above as part of our KoF Live series when we open them up on Facebook Live.  Let us know what you think about the shoe in the comments.

Another Look At The Nike Air Presto Fire Waves

nike air presto nike air presto 2

Not too long ago we gave you a heads up that a handful of Prestos with graphic patterns on the upper were going to release later on down the line. One of those releases is the Nike Air Presto Fire Waves you see above.

The graphic placed on the Presto upper comes in a combination of Vivid Sulfur, Black, Sail and a little bit of Racer Blue. The actual consists of Fire Waves placed all over the overlay, while the hits of Black noted on the cage, laces, toe cap and outsole tone it down a bit. No word yet on when these bad boys will release, but one they do are you looking to pick up a pair?

via: atmos

Author’s Take

Never though about getting a Presto with an upper with graphics. It actually looks pretty good.
