Nike LeBron 13 Lava 1 Nike LeBron 13 Lava 2 Nike LeBron 13 Lava 3 Nike LeBron 13 Lava 4 Nike LeBron 13 Lava 5 Nike LeBron 13 Lava 6

Releasing a week from today is the next colorway of the Nike LeBron 13 that has a bold look to it.

Following in the footsteps of the Nike LeBron 10 which first debuted the Lava colorway, this upcoming Nike LeBron 13 sports a Metallic Silver upper with Energy, Hyper Jade and Black detailing throughout for a bold and sleek look. The majority of the shoe is done in a grey/silver hue with Black detailing landing on the inner lining, LeBron and Nike branding, laces, midsole and outsole. What truly makes the shoe stand out are the hits of Energy Red/Orange that land on the Flywire, heel tab and the speckling on the tongue, midsole and heel.

Releasing at select Nike retailers on March 9th for $200, is the LeBron 13 Lava a cop or a drop for you?

Author’s Take

This is the colorway of the LeBron 13 that you rock when you wanna be low-key but at the same time stunt a little thanks to the orange speckling. Clean pair of LeBron 13s but just not for me.

Bold Colors Of The Nike Air Icarus Are On The Way

NIKE AIR ICARUS 1 NIKE AIR ICARUS 2 NIKE AIR ICARUS 3 NIKE AIR ICARUS 4 NIKE AIR ICARUS 5 NIKE AIR ICARUS 6 NIKE AIR ICARUS 7 NIKE AIR ICARUS 8 NIKE AIR ICARUS 9 NIKE AIR ICARUS 10

The Nike Air Icarus is back and these new colorways are ideal choices for the Spring. Coming in white uppers offset by the bold accents, you really can’t go wrong with any pair you decide to pick up.

Nike decided to bring back the vintage running shoe this year and they’re wasting no time in releasing vibrant offerings. You have three colorways to choose from. The first colorway is one that released in the ’90s as it comes done up in a neon/white/black colorway. If you’re looking for a new look, feast your eyes on the white/green/blue pair or the equally vibrant white/purple/magenta offering. All three pairs are expected to drop this Spring. See anything you like?

Author’s Take

The shoe isn’t something I would wear. It has the classic ’90s look but it’s just one of those models that I’m not really feeling regardless of what color it comes in.

A New Colorway Of The Nike Kobe 11 For The Month Of March

Nike Kobe 11 1 Nike Kobe 11 2

Today we get a first glimpse at another upcoming colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 that will be releasing later this month.

This colorway of the Kobe 11 seems to be inspired by the upcoming Spring season as a White Flyknit upper dominates the entire front and back half of the shoe with multicolor detailing being added on the side panels. The laces, inner liner, tongue and outsole are also done in white with a leather Swoosh giving a different look to the sneaker. It is believed that this is an Elite colorway of the Kobe 11 so the price point will be $220 just like the All Star colorway.

The inspiration behind this colorway has not been revealed yet but it’s possible that this could be the Easter version of the Kobe 11. The expected release date for this shoe is March 14th. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more.

Author’s Take

Kind of looks like the Kobe 9 “What The” but in low-top form. I have a feeling not many people will like this colorway because of how plain it is. I know I don’t.

Evolution: How The Retro Air Jordan Box Stacks Up To The Nike Original

So if I had to break down my interest in this year’s Air Jordan 12 retro releases by percentages, I would say 60% of my excitement stems from the shoes themselves and 40% is from the boxes. Wait, what?

So here’s my deal, I like boxes. No, I don’t like the aftermath and hassle of trying to figure where to put them after the fact, but I love receiving them in the mail and opening them up to see what’s inside for the first time. That rush when the Nike Store employee hands over that box with the kicks that I’ve been waiting months years for is finally in my possesion is pretty great. When I would buy toys, I would meticulously try to open them without messing up the box. All of my video game systems still have their original box somewhere in my house. There are have been recorded instances where I have stated that the box that we sometimes get from brand is way better than the shoes that they come with. Needless to say, I like me some boxes.

Naturally, when I found out that this year’s Air Jordan 12s would not only be getting the retro remastered treatment, I was pleased and ready to fork over my hard-earned cash for them. But when I learned that they would come in Jumpman-branded retro Nike boxes similar to the ones we had back in the 90s, I was overjoyed. It was a prime example of Nike and Jordan Brand giving us something that we didn’t know that we wanted. Not to take away anything from the new Jordan Brand boxes with the gold foil Jumpman, but to go back in the archives and pull that rabbit out of the hat is simply magic.

It’s just a little bit uh, bigger than I thought it would be. So for the sake of comparison, I put my new Air Jordan 12 The Master box next to my original Nike box that has a pair of dead-ass Jordan Jumpman Pros. Both are size 11.

Air Jordan Nike Box Comparison 15 Air Jordan Nike Box Comparison 2 Air Jordan Nike Box Comparison 1 Air Jordan Nike Box Comparison 7 Air Jordan Nike Box Comparison 13 Air Jordan Nike Box Comparison 5Apparently the boxes for the new retros have been standardized into one size fits all and a piece of cardboard gets stuffed inside to keep the shoe from moving around. Interesting choice by Nike there that we’ll hopefully get a little bit more clarification as to why that’s the case (I also encountered similar boxes with the Nike Air Max Zero and the PSNY x Air Jordan 12). But for now, enjoy these pics of some black, white and gold Js. Both of them.

Author’s Take

I think the middle shoes from the pack that will be dressed in light and dark tones of grey will be the best colorways out of the collection. I’m excited to see what the Kobe 9 will look like.

Nike Launches The Air Classic BW Ultra For Women

The Nike Air Classic BW had the near-impossible task of following up the Nike Air Max 90 when it released in 1991. For the uninitiated, the BW in the models stands for ‘Big Window’ – a reference to what was considered the largest visible air unit at the time. Even though Air Max played a huge part in this classic model, it was never in the silhouette’s official name. That didn’t stop fans overseas from quickly considering this pair to be a classic sneaker anyways, as the UK and other regions have celebrated this model more so than here in the states. Now Nike Sportswear is bringing a few updates exclusively for women, as three tonal colorways showcase Tinker’s 1991 hit in orange, grey, or royal. Be sure to check out a full look at this trio of Nike Air Classic BW colorways exclusively for women below and let us know if you’re excited about this Nike retro’s return in the comments section.

Looking for a subtle looking sneaker with just the right amount of pop? Take a look at the brand new Nike Air Pegasus 89 NS Bright Crimson. Coming in an upper done up in colors such as white and grey, the shoe is complimented by a bright hue to give it some life right on time for Spring.

This version of the Pegasus comes constructed out of a mesh and pressure fused synthetic panels all done up in white, grey and black colors. Adding some bold hits to the shoe are the Bright Crimson hits placed on the heel, branding and outsole of the shoe. Nike branding is found on the side panels, tongue and the heel. Said to be releasing some time this month, is this a shoe you’d like to have in your rotation this Spring season?

via: Asphalt Gold

Author’s Take

It’s a cool looking colorway of the Pegasus 89. The Birght Crimson hits are loud, but they are placed so spread out that it doesn’t dominate the look of the shoe, it actually compliments it.

Nike Air Max BW Ultra Cool Grey

The modernized Nike Air Max BW is ready to take over this spring season with a number of clean colorways, and it doesn’t get much cleaner than the now-classic “Cool Grey” scheme we see here. The updated and retooled Air Max BW Ultra receives the Cool Grey and white pairing across the uppers, with reflective silver hiding underneath the perforations on the heel panel to add just a bit of flash to the clean and neutral look. One of the debut looks for the Air Max BW Ultra, this “Cool Grey” colorway releases Thursday, March 3rd at Nike.com and select Nike Sportswear retailers.

Introducing The Nike Flyknit Tennis Classic Ultra

Old meets new in this newest version of the Nike Tennis Classic Ultra as the vintage Nike tennis shoe gets draped in a Flyknit upper to give it more of a modern feel. Let’s take a closer look at the Nike Flyknit Tennis Classic Ultra.

The first colorways that have been unveiled consist of a red Flyknit upper accompanied by the red leather Nike Swoosh and heel tab sitting on top of the all white sole unit. The second colorway has the shoe come in a grey Flyknit upper paired up with the white leather hits on the Nike Swoosh branding and heel tab all while sitting on top of the all-white sole unit. Said to be releasing sometime this month, do you like what you see?

via: 43einhalb

Author’s Take

While the Flyknit is a definite improvement and upgrade, I don’t like the overall blueprint of the shoe, for that reason alone I won’t be picking these up.

Nike Is Bringing Back The NikeLab Air Zoom Talaria

The Nike Air Zoom Talaria is making a comeback as Nike recently announced that they will be bringing back the model this month. Once it does make its return it will do so as a NikeLab release.

For those who aren’t too familiar with the shoe, it’s a running shoe designed by none other than Tinker Hatfield back in 1997. This model was the shoe that introduced full-length, bottom-loaded Zoom technology as well as Flex Grooves on the sole. In other words, think of the Talaria as a pioneer of some sort. Not only will the Talaria return, it will do so with updated features as well. Those features will soon be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Said to be releasing March 31st, while you’re waiting you can call 1-800-250-2652 (or 800-023-4844 in the UK) to listen to a message from Tinker Hatfield himself. Were you a fan of the shoe? Are you excited to see it back? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

We know that Nike will not admit that this is another jab at Kanye but we all know the truth. Out of all three colorways that were inspired by the Yeezy 2 this is probably the most wearable and as a result the best. It?ll be a pass for me though.

A Detailed Look At The Nike KD 8 PB & J For Kids

Since the Nike KD 6, Nike Basketball has dressed up Kevin Durant‘s signature sneaker in a playful homage to the superstar’s favorite meal as a kid: a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. While the theme started off in a full family size run, last year the peanut butter outsole, toebox jelly look only benefited those with smaller feet. For those wondering, the Nike KD 8 “PBJ” will also be a kids’ exclusive much like last year’s installment of KD’s ongoing “Peanut Butter and Jelly” series. A white Flyweave base keeps thing simple while the toecap gives off a purple appearance dipped in grape jam for a unique twist. A classic gum outsole is repurposed for a certain peanut butter quality. Check out more official photos below and know that this GS KD 8 exclusive will hit retailers on March 10th for $140.
