Infrared Splashes On The Nike Zoom Cabos

Nobody expected Nike Sportswear to rework Gary Payton?s classic Nike Zoom Flight ?98 “The Glove”, and yet here we are. The Nike Zoom Cabos is one of the more original transformations from NSW in recent memory following the Nike Zoom Kobe Icon’s laceless design. The Cabos goes the completely opposite direction though, adding countless Dynamic Flywire cables wrapping up the entirety of the sleek silhouette.

Today’s preview of the Nike Cabos showcases a brand new “Infrared” colorway that adds even more of a 90s splash thanks to the reddish vibrancy throughout. The underlying ‘The Glove’ silhouette remains unchanged from its 1998 origin as it skips over the shroud and zipper for a breathable ballistic nylon mesh underlay. The supportive Zoom infused midsole unit serves as the perfect base for both lifestyle ready use or even to take this pair for a spin on the court as summer comes to an end.

Select retailers like Oneness are stocking this Nike Zoom Cabos “Infrared” today for $135 USD.

Cap Off Kyries Amazing Championship And Gold Medal Summer With New Nike Kyrie 2

What a Summer 2016 Kyrie Irving is having. Kyrie became just the fourth player in basketball history to win the NBA championship the same year he won a Gold Medal in the Olympics. The other three are Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and teammate LeBron James. With all of that history in mind, Nike Basketball is taking advantage by releasing a number of new Kyrie 2 colorways like August 31st’s Kyrie 2 Summer Pack.

The Kyrie 2 has benefited from bold, vibrant colorways in the past, but this Kyrie 2 Summer Pack is a direct contrast to those very pairs. Instead, a Light Bone upper pairs with Reflect Silver to accentuate the classic gum bottom on this lifestyle-ready look. Flashy red hints contrast on the upper two lace eyelets and on Kyrie’s no.2 heel logo for added depth. What do you think of the upcoming Kyrie 2 Summer Pack? Stick around for a better look and grab your size on August 31st for $120 USD.

Nike Air Max BW Olive

The Nike Air Classic BW featured so much visible air that Nike decided to name the sneaker after its major feature – its Big Window. The advanced cushioning system was a head-turner for running enthusiasts back in 1991 and has since been updated with Ultra Moire-inspired outsoles and near seamless constructions under the ‘SE’ suffix. Today we get to see the Nike Air Max BW make a lifestyle turn with this Fall-ready “Olive” colorway slated to release in the near future.

The early 90s retro runner thrives in Nike Sportswear form thanks to a soft Dark Loden suede throughout while a Flax-colored mesh adds breathable functionality to the model. The premium tonal offering utilizes a matching Olive midsole and Swoosh while embossed branding hits the tongue for a luxurious finish. Stay tuned for a release date in the coming weeks.

The Nike Air Max 90 Woven Returns With Icy Soles

The Nike Air Max 90 has spent its summer transforming into a golf shoe, teasing an upcoming Flyknit construction, and dropping new “Infrared” colorways with modern amenities like a new Ultra Moire outsole unit and a near-seamless upper. Now the Nike Air Max 90 Woven is back in a new colorway that stresses the importance of an icy bottom.

The Nike Air Max 90’s mudguard and midsole are both some of the most original created in the realm of 1990s runners. With the AM90 Woven, Nike Sportswear completely disregarded these two standout features to take the Air Max 90 into unprecedented lifestyle territory with freshly minted woven side panels to rival even the Nike Footscape Woven Chukka. Past releases have showcased this new feature in the context of a monochromatic upper, but here a contrasting Black and White work rather well together. Throw in embossed Swoosh branding, a premium leather interior, and the all-important icy finish on the outsole unit, and this Nike Air Max 90 Woven could just be the best colorway in its brief lifespan yet.

There’s still no word yet on when this AM90 Woven will arrive at retailers, but be sure to check out more official photos after the break and stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

Preview More Nike Roshe Two Releases For September 2016

It’s been almost 5 years, but we’re finally getting the Nike Roshe Run sequel we deserve next month. The Nike Roshe Two has already been previewed in an upcoming Flyknit variety slated to hit select markets on August 25th, and today three new women’s exclusive colorways showcase just how malleable Dylan Raasch’s creation can be.

The Nike Roshe Run exploded onto the scene with an amazing price point (just $70 USD), and an aesthetic that was designed with Zen-like simplicity in mind dating back to 2012. So for the Nike Roshe Two, you can imagine that Nike Sportswear wanted to keep things just as simple, but the task at hand might’ve been more difficult than expected. The Swoosh continues to innovate with new technology but what surprised so many about the Roshe series was how it went in the completely opposite direction. No celebrity co-sign or star athlete was needed to sell a pair, and the legacy of Flyknit and Nike Free didn’t come to the model until much later down the road.

The Nike Roshe Two doesn’t fall too far from the tree either, as an upgraded midsole and outsole unit now utilizes a new ‘split’ feature for added color options. The upper, shown here in a new neoprene instead of the woven Flyknit, will be able to hold down all kinds of prints and patterns like this trio of water-inspired looks exclusive to women’s sizes. An added elastic fit around the ankle should add even more comfort this go-around. What do you think of the upcoming Nike Roshe Two? Be sure to check out more photos below and stay tuned for more updates right here on Sneaker News.

The latest colorway of the Nike Air Force 1 Low is an interesting one. Not only does it come in a Gold colored upper, it also comes covered with scales to give it even more of a unique look.

We’re unsure of what the inspiration behind the shoe is, but being that the Olympics are a trending topic of discussion, I wouldn’t be surprised if this Nike AF1 Low had something to do with Gold medal inspirations. The Gold on the upper is accompanied by the hits of White placed on the lining, tongue tag and sole unit of the shoe. Tonal laces and tongue round out the look of the shoe. Available internationally, we will let you know once these arrive stateside.

Pretty clean. The scales on the upper really give it a new look and feel. Comfort aside, this is a pretty dope pair!

Nike Releases The LunaRacer 4

Introducing the Nike Lunaracer 4, Nike Running’s latest and greatest performance running shoe with a full-length Lunarlon cushioned bottom.

The Lunaracer series has since taken a backseat to the likes of the Nike Lunarepic and Nike Flyknit Racer, but there was a time when the Lunaracer imprint was one of the most sought after Nike running lines thanks to its lightweight, breathable upper and cushioning system that could last for long distances. The Lunaracer 4 utilizes a new interior arch-band that enhances support while an updated dual-density Lunarlon foam gives the most responsive shock absorption to date. High-wear zones like the toe and heel even come equipped with added BRS 100 carbon rubber for increased durability.

Three debut colorways are available in both men’s and women’s size runs ranging from the above pictured “Clear Jade”, a vibrant “Bright Crimson”, and a patriotic “Concord”. Grab your favorite colorway today via Nikestore.

South Beach Vibes Hit This Nike Kobe Sneaker

“South Beach” colorways hit critical mass a few years back to the point where Sketchers and Payless were proudly flaunting the pink and teal Miami Vice-inspired look made famous by the Nike LeBron 8. Nike Basketball had retired the look once and for all after LeBron announced his decision to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2014. That might explain why we’re so surprised to see this Nike Kobe Venomenon 5 interrupt the hiatus and bring the South Beach flavor back for Summer ’16.

We thought that Kobe’s retirement would lead to more international travel, but there’s a good chance that the Black Mamba will hit up Miami now that his playing days are over. The Kobe Venomenon 5 is by no means the premium performer that Kobe’s signature line given the signature’s implementation of Flyknit uppers, natural motion and Zoom cushioning system throughout. That doesn’t mean that the Venomenon can’t hold you down for a summer of blacktop hooping though as the $120 price point makes it the perfect entry level Kobe offering. This Venomenon South Beach dons a simple black mesh and fuse upper while an aggressive Swoosh branding fades in a teal to pink gradient. That head-turning Kyrie 1-like heel construction gets a transparent icy treatment while the shank adds a matching gradient.

Overall, it’s a unique and timely take on the South Beach lineage that couldn’t be more appropriate for the hottest months of the year. What do you think of the latest Kobe release? Check out more photos below and stay tuned for a release date right here on Sneaker News.

This Nike Flyknit Racer Was Made For The 2020 Olympics In Tokyo

Check out this Nike Flyknit Racer that commemorates the Summer Olympics. No, not this Summer’s Rio Olympics, but 2020’s Tokyo Olympics. Yea, Nike is staying ahead of the game with this one.

Complex’s Joe La Puma was recently gifted with this special pair of Racers that commemorates the location of the 2020 Olympics. La Puma mentioned that the pair was hand-dyed with genuine indigo in Tokyo, which is the host of the 2020 Olympics. Custom katakana script on the tongues translate to “Naiki.” With Nike once again being the official sponsor of the United States Olympic Committee in 2020, they’re wasting no time in getting to work.

Our First Look At The fragment design x Nike Zoom Tennis Classic

Once again fragment design links up with Nike to release another collaboration. This time around the shoe of choice is none other than the Nike Zoom Tennis Classic. Said to be releasing beginning next week, let’s get a closer look at the shoe.

The fragment design x Nike Zoom Tennis Classic keeps things subtle and tonal as the shoe boasts an all-White upper done in a premium White leather. Giving the shoe additional premium flare is the reptile texture placed throughout the upper. Adding minimal contrast is the Orange noted on the tongue branding. The Nike Swoosh on the side panels comes in perforated fashion, while fragment design branding is embossed on the heel. As of right now, the shoe is said to be dropping internationally beginning August 25th, while a stateside release appears to be imminent.

Author’s Take

Not really a fan of the model, so even if it is a collab with fragment design, the shoe still does nothing for me.

A Nike Kobe 11 In Kentucky Colors

A new colorway of the Nike Kobe 11 has just surfaced and its already beginning to arrive at select retailers.

Covered in a white breathable mesh throughout the upper, this Kobe 11 is than accented by royal blue on the branding, inner liner, and the Flywire cables. According to a user on Nike Talk select House Of Hoops retailers already have these available which means that more stores should be getting them in the near future.

What are your thoughts on this colorway of the Kobe 11? Do you plan on picking up a pair when they get a wider release?

via: NT

Author’s Take

Pretty clean colorway of the Kobe 11, but I don’t really mess with white mesh/Flyknit. If the colors were reversed and the shoe was covered in blue then maybe I would have considered buying these.
