A Modernized Classic With The Nike Air Max 95 Ultra Essential

The iconic Nike Air Max 95 has been slightly revamped in a new construction courtesy of its Ultra Essential variation this season.

Essentially maintaining the retro runner’s original design language, this rendition however, flaunts a no-sew constructed upper that creates a more streamlined profile. With the component rendered in a palette of greys and white, the model is also tweaked with an enhanced midsole unit, constructed from lightweight injecting molding, which is inspired by the Ultra Moire rendition.

You can purchase this pair at select Nike retailers overseas now for about $160, while a stateside release is expected to follow very soon.

Nike Remasters The Air Max 95 With Ultra Soles And Seamless Uppers

Sergio Lozano’s iconic homage to the natural structure of the human foot has been a fan-favorite Nike retro running offering since it released in 1995. We’re talking about the Nike Air Max 95 of course, with its strange yet enticing side panel waves, mesh netting, and head-turning midsole unit complete with the patented visible air throughout. Nike Sportswear has revamped and remixed the silhouette countless times in the two decades since its release including the slimmed down Nike Air Max 95 No-Sew. The special edition Dave White collaboration will release on September 16th featuring the new combination of no-sew and Ultra outsole tooling. Just in case you can’t wait for that release, there’s this tonal grey release available today.

The Nike Air Max 95 Ultra No-Sew takes the silhouette and modernizes it thanks to a seamless construction that sheds some weight. The side panel waves are still there in spirit and color blocking with a grey gradient working from light to dark. The midsole unit is inspired by the Ultra Moire running model with extra indentations providing a flawless lightweight ride that rids itself of the bulkiness found in the 21 year old model. Catch a better preview below and grab your pair from select international retailers like JD Sports.

This engineered mesh version of the Kobe 11 comes equipped with Pink Flash and Red Plum on the upper with Action Green accents landing on the translucent outsole, Flywire, and the branding on the tongue and side panels. Finishing things off is “NIKE” written in White on the medial sided of the shoe.

Author’s Take

I’m a fan of the Mambacurial colorway from the Kobe line and Nike did a good job with these 11s. If this pair would have been Flyknit it would have looked even better.

The Nike Kobe 11 is releasing colorways with no remorse. It seems like a brand new colorway drops every week, right? We just came across another colorway, and this is one hasn’t gotten much press compared to other past offerings. When does it release? It’s actually available at select retailers now!

This EM version of the Kobe 11 comes with an Engineered Mesh upper done in a White colorway. The White base is contrasted by the Black noted on areas such as the Nike Swoosh, Flywire, tongue branding, lining and heel. As a finishing tough, the shoe comes with an icy translucent outsole. It hasn’t been officially released by Nike yet, but Nike stockists such as Eastbay already has them up for grabs. What do you think? Is it worth copping?

Author’s Take

I’ve seen so many better colorways of the Kobe 11, this is not one I see myself picking up. It’s much too simple and bland.

This Nike Free RN Flyknit Comes With A Multicolor Vibe

nike free run flyknit 1 nike free run flyknit 2 nike free run flyknit 3

It’s not completely multicolor, but it’s a start. What you see above is a Nike Free RN Flyknit that has earned its stripes, multicolor stripes to be exact. Let’s take a closer look.

The Flyknit base comes in a Black color, as does the laces, lining, tongue and collar. What really helps the shoe pop are the multicolored accents placed on the stripes found all over the upper. The Nike Swoosh branding and the Nike Free sole both come in White to balance out the look of the shoe. Set to retail for $130, the shoes are available internationally, with a stateside release appearing imminent.

Author’s Take

The shoe looks really cool. If I were to get down with Free soles like that, I’d be on them. Since I don’t mess with Free soles, it’s a hard pass.

Expect More Colorways Of The Nike Sock Dart Premium SE This Fall

Has there been a more relevant retro in Nike Sportswear’s catalog than the Nike Sock Dart these past two years? The 2004 woven gem had a bit of Nike Air Presto in its DNA but revamped things with an enviable translucent midfoot strap that was as every bit functional as it was futuristic, a form-fitting stretchable mesh upper, and one of the most comfortable rides in the game.

NSW has since updated the silhouette with the Nike Sock Dart SE, a premium offering that ditches the see-through strap for a solid color blocking. This “Midnight Navy” colorway even adds a marbled wool-like upper with a combination of White speckles throughout to help transition into the colder months. The bolstered material also sees a Dark Grey midsole speckled with Black to match the darker shade around this Sock Dart SE’s heel. What do you think of the look? Expect this pair to arrive later this Fall 2016 season and stay updated on the latest release dates right here on Sneaker News.

Nike SNKRS Release Info For Dave Whites Air Max 95 Collaboration

Dave White’s dedication to sneaker fandom has given his career new life, and Nike has showcased its appreciation for Dave’s reimagining of some of NSW’s most iconic retros with a number of collaborations in the past. Now we have word that White’s latest “Albion Collection”, a re-imagining of the iconic Nike Air Max 95, will be releasing via Nike SNKRS on September 23rd for $200.

The Dave White Nike Air Max 95 reinterprets Sergio Lozano’s iconic Air Max creation through the theme of some of Britain’s native species like the rabbit and fox. The predator and prey thematic element is accomplished through a seamless upper, applied through heat pressing for a one-piece quarter panel. The infamous side panel waves display four different renditions of Dave White’s paintings to pay homage to the rabbit and fox and their indigenous environments. A bolstered hairy suede tongue adds a lifestyle finish to the Nike Air Max 95 No-Sew.

The Dave White Nike Air Max 95 utilizes a head-turning vibrancy of orange for the fox pair, while a subdued tan and brown represents the rabbit. Which pair are you feeling? Be sure to check out more photos courtesy of Nike SNKRS after the break and head over to our release dates page for more of the latest updates and details regarding this weekend’s latest and greatest.
