The Air Jordan 4 Black Cement Is Rumored To Return In 2017

Air Jordan 4 1 Air Jordan 4 Air Jordan 4 2 Air Jordan 4 3

Last offered in 2012, the classic Nike Air Jordan 4 Black Cement is reportedly making a return in 2017 according to multiple sources.

A colorway that was initially introduced back in 1989, the silhouette is also correlated with one of MJ’s career defining moments, as he hit “The Shot” over Craig Ehlo, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the first round of the 1989 Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Simply staying true to its iconic palette — black, cement grey, and fire red — the sneaker will bear a remastered nubuck upper with the distinctive cement grey detailing and fire red accents throughout. In addition, the classic Nike Air branding will be applied on the heels and insoles to cap off the OG vibe.

According to @DJFolk, this pair is slated to debut sometime in 2017, with the retail price suggested at $220.

Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates.

The Air Jordan 11 Low Revisits MJs Baseball Days

For Jordan Brand, it’s easy to reference moments in Michael’s past simply because his career is perhaps the most storied of all-time. His sudden retirement in 1993 and his foray into professional baseball is one that’s been recalled time and time again through the “Barons” releases, and it appears that next April, Jordan Brand may be going back to that storyline with the help of the Air Jordan 11 Low. While there’s nothing truly “Barons” about the release outside of the simple black/white/silver colorway, the shoes do drop at the start of the new MLB season. Will you be copping the Air Jordan 11 Low “Barons” next April? A firm date hasn’t been set just yet, but stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for the latest.

I?m not a big fan of the patent leather overlay?s higher placement, but, this is one of my favorite sneakers ever. I?m just glad it?s being released again and hopefully in lots of quantities.

Following a surprise release this past November 11th at KITH and CNCPTS in New York for a promotional/celebratory 11/11 theme, sources indicate that the sneaker will debut on December 23 — the day before Christmas Eve.

Essentially a fashionable/lifestyle variation of the iconic silhouette, distinguishable design elements consist of leather quilted insoles, debossed Jumpman logos and no traditional ?23? embroidery on the heels. Finally, a crisp white midsole unit and slightly milky translucent outsole finishes off luxe design.

Retail price is listed at $400 and quantities are expected to be extremely limited.

The Air Jordan 11 Low Barons is defined by an understated color scheme which is reminiscent of MJ?s days with the Birmingham Barons in 1994 — a minor league baseball team and Double-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox major-league club.

Dressed in a palette of black, metallic silver and white — the sneaker?s defining element is highlighted on its patent leather overlays in ash grey. Finally, a crisp white sole unit rounds out the overall profile.

Priced at $175, this pair is suggested to make its debut at select JB and Nike retailers sometime during April 2017.

Author’s Take

It does somewhat evoke the 72-10s a bit. I?m generally not a fan of the sneaker in low-cut I?m not really a fan of the silhouette in low-top form, but, it?s always an appealing profile.

A Detailed Look At The Jordan Melo M13

A week ago we got our first look at what is believed to be the next Jordan Brand signature shoe of Carmelo Anthony, the Jordan Melo M13. Today we can almost confirm that this is in fact Melo’s next signature model with the Jumpman. Here are the shoe’s latest images.

The Jordan Melo M13 goes for a different look this time around. Out are the extensive overlays and TPU heel counters, in is a much more minimal look with a very unique sleek looking pattern all over the upper. The same motif you see on the upper is also on the entire sole unit. Speaking of the sole, it appears to come with Zoom Air cushioning and a shank for added stability. This particular colorway comes in Black with hits of Metallic Gold placed on the areas of branding to give it a nice pop. Said to be dropping early 2017, do you like the route Jordan Brand is taking with their Melo line?

Author’s Take

I’m not going to lie, it actually looks pretty cool. It’s not something I’m used to seeing on the Melo signature line, but as the saying goes, “change is good”/

Back Like The 4-5: The Air Jordan 11 Space Jam Is Arriving At Retailers

We’re just days away from the release of the Space Jam 11, the patent-leather basketball sneaker that was made famous in the film Space Jam and during MJ’s first comeback late in the ’94-’95 NBA season. The shoes are readied a restructured mudguard upper to match the exact specifications of the pair made for the film, but that’s not all – the 4-5 is indeed back. It’s being noted that the Space Jam 11 Jordans are not exactly a limited release as stores across the globe will carry them, but given the insanely high demand, it’s not guaranteed that you’ll be able to buy a pair with ease. The shoes drop this Saturday, December 10th at retailers like Livestock, but will also be at Foot Locker, Finishline, and Nike.com.

The more I see these the more I like them. I just wish that Jumpman was blue instead of purple (at least I think it?s purple), but you won?t be able to tell unless you?re up close so I can deal with it. Haha.

Jordan Brand Just Released A New Trainer

JORDAN IMPACT 1 JORDAN IMPACT 2 JORDAN IMPACT 3 JORDAN IMPACT 4

Jordan Brand is always releasing new silhouettes from their lifestyle or training division that get little to no exposure from the brand. One of the latest that we have just caught wind of is the Jordan Impact that we see above.

Labeled as a training shoe, the Jordan Impact features a low top cut with a mesh upper and synthetic overlays. “JORDAN” has been written on the side panels while Jumpman branding appears on the tongue and heel. At the moment there’s 4 colorways options available of Gym Red, Cool Grey, Dark Grey, and Black with each pair retailing for $100.

Will you cop or pass? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

There’s lots of other trainers out there that I prefer over these. They may be Jordan Brand, but I’ll pass.

Clash Of The Kicks 4K Edition: Air Jordan 11 Space Jam 2016 Vs. 2009

After nearly a full year of speculation, leaks and everything in between, the 20th anniversary model of the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam is finally dropping this weekend. Depending on who you talk to, however, that news is being met with eager anticipation or quiet loathing.

On the one hand, purists are in love with the 2016 drop because it is essentially a reissue of the Air Jordan 11 that Michael Jordan wore when he made his first comeback to the NBA in 1995. With a higher patent leather cut and the number 45 on the heel, this weekend’s release has a number of glaring differences from the 11s that Jordan wore in the movie. In the minds of many sneakerheads, the 2001 release and 2009 retro are the true Space Jams. Jordan Brand has been careful to market the 11 as more of the latter, but with the 20th anniversary of Space Jam coinciding with this release, they knew that the lines will be blurred and the movie tie-in was going to be inevitable.

So before you decide to cop a pair this weekend (which shouldn’t be a problem it seems), here’s a look at both the upcoming pair and the 2009 classic. Which one is the superior Air Jordan 11 Space Jam?
