The Jordan Melo M13 Will Release In An All-Black Colorway
By SoleInsider
We’ve gotten several different looks of the soon to release Jordan Melo M13 over the past few weeks, all these looks have been on the Black and Gold colorway. For the first time ever, the Jordan Melo M13 is seen in the new all-Red colorway.
This second colorway opts for a tonal look as it’s done in Red from top to bottom. The only image currently available shows that it’s actually a monochromatic color scheme as no type of contrast appears in sight. This includes Red on the entire upper, sole, branding, lining and laces. The latest Carmelo Anthony signature shoe is now available overseas, which leads us to believe that a stateside release appears to be imminent.
I?m not going to lie, it actually looks pretty cool. It?s not something I?m used to seeing on the Melo signature line, but as the saying goes, ?change is good?. I still prefer the Black and Gold colorway though.

Earlier this week we took a closer look at a few upcoming colorways of the Air Jordan 1 Rare Air which made its debut in 2015. We now have a release date to report for the Max Orange pair that gives off some Shattered Backboard vibes.

Judging from these pictures the quality looks to be pretty good, which is always a good thing. Do you plan on copping? Let us know in the comments below.

I don’t like or hate this version of the Air Jordan 1, but it just doesn’t interest me. I’d rather just buy an OG pair.
See The New Suede/Leather Air Jordan 1 Mid On Feet
By SoleInsider
If you haven’t had enough of sneakers with tonal uppers in “premium” materials with a solid white sole, you’re in luck, because plenty more are in store for 2017. For example, this upcoming Air Jordan 1 Mid built in Sequoia suede with randomly placed leather panels in a matching shade will feature?you guessed it?an all-white sole. If you’re still not yet satisfied with the tonal upper/white sole look, these are for you. Stick with Sneaker News for further updates.
Russell Westbrook and Jordan Brand released the Jordan Westbrook 0.2 earlier this year with one of the latest colorways being the fancy Vachetta Tan pair that featured a hairy suede upper. But we all know that Russ is the type that likes to make a statement with his wardrobe, so that’s probably not a pair you’d see him wearing during a post or pre game interview.
Now this new galaxy colorway, this is more up Russell’s alley. Covered in a black nubuck upper, this Westbrook 0.2 is then contrasted by galaxy detailing on the tongue, heel, and side panels for that touch of flair. A white rubber sole unit caps things off.
You can pick up the women’s colorway of the Jordan Westbrook 0.2 Galaxy at select Jordan Brand retailers today for $100.
This Precious Metal Air Jordan 11 Is A Work Of Art
By SoleInsider
Los Angeles-based artist and art director Matt Senna has a strong bond with his sneakers, so much so that he turns them into works of art. And we’re not talking about the fully wearable customs that have flooded the sneaker world over the past half-decade either. Instead, Senna took a different route: casting Air Jordan retros in one-of-a-kind metal to turn them into statues that embody some of Tinker Hatfield and Michael Jordan’s most iconic creations.
Senna was inspired by his lifelong connection with the Air Jordan 11 and his reaction to seeing the special edition slide-out box when he was a kid paired with the incredibly different patent leather style on the silhouette. He didn’t start out casting the Air Jordan 11 first though, as he wanted to experiment with the Air Jordan 13 because as he puts it:
“I cast my black and red XIs first. They were, I think, the second pair that I did. I first made an experimental pair with the XIII, because I didn?t want to ruin my favorite shoe when I was messing around. And then I went to do my favorite. So I did the XI second. The natural flashiness of the patent leather translates really well to metallic. Even if it?s not a person?s favorite shoe, it resonates because it?s such a beautiful silhouette. In bronze or in metal, it looks different from all the others because of the sheen.”
Capping off the 20th anniversary of Space Jam, will be the return of this iconic Air Jordan 11.
Unlike its previous 2009 release, this particular pair stays true to its OG build, similar to the pair that MJ first wore during the 1995 NBA Playoffs. A higher cut black patent leather overlay consists as the most distinguishable element, in addition to classic Concord Jumpman branding and the number ?45? stitched on the back heel.
Although not pictured, this 2016 edition comes in a special Looney Tunes-themed box with cartoon graphics to further commemorate the iconic movie.
Set to be offered in full family sizes, adult pairs will retail for $220, followed by GS, PS, TD and Crib sizes listed at $170, $90, $70 and $55 respectively.
Purchase one or for your entire family at select JB and Nike retailers starting tomorrow, Saturday, December 10th.

I?m not a big fan of the patent leather overlay?s higher placement, but, this is one of my favorite sneakers ever. I?m just glad it?s being released again and hopefully in lots of quantities.
Now, after a confirmation from Jordan Brand via Sneaker News, it’s reported that the ?Shadow? Air Jordan 1 will NOT release, although, the classic Royal pair is still in line to make its debut again, which made its last appearance in 2013.
Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for further updates if anything changes.
Essentially an alternate variation of the AJ 4 Mars that debuted back in 2006, this model is simply one of the most coveted variations of the classic basketball sneaker. Donning a premium white leather construction, royal blue accents are prominent across its entirety, which simply commemorates MJ?s Motorsports team.
Pops of black are also added on the midsole, heel and lacing apparatus along its collar section to round out its distinctive palette. Furthermore, notably absent is the Mars Blackmon branding across the heel, which was on the original pair.
Retailing for $190, this pair is suggested to debut at select Nike and JB stockists starting March 26, 2017.

I?ll always be an advocate for this silhouette. I?ve been a fan of the colorway since its introduction and it?s nice to see that it?ll finally be released.
An initial rendering of what the silhouette would look like, portrayed a similar aesthetic of the AJ 4, although, sneaker retailer, Sole NYC, has acquired a look see sample of the purported sneaker. This suggests that the model featured may or may not be the final product.
Overall, the silhouette dons a dark olive-based composition with black accents, while pops of red are implemented on the branding across its tongue, insoles and throughout the outsole.
Retailing for $190, this pair is suggested to debut at select JB and Nike stockists on January 28, 2017.

I?m a fan of the silhouette, as well as the LA-based brand, and this offering looks pretty solid (although I preferred the initial rendering). Nonetheless, this will obviously get the attention it deserves. Re-sale prices should be pretty high.
The Wait For The Air Jordan 11 Space Jam Is Almost Over
By SoleInsider
The anticipation continues to build for the return of the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam which will finally be arriving at retailers this upcoming Saturday.
Releasing in OG form, as in the same pair that was worn by Michael Jordan when he came out of retirement the first time, this Air Jordan 11 will be different than any other pair we’ve ever seen hit retailers. The features that stand out the most on this pair in comparison to past releases are the higher cut on the patent leather, the “peaks” on the patent leather, the “45” branding on the heel, and the use of Concord purple on the branding instead of royal blue.
Will these new characteristics make you hold back from buying a pair or will you still cop? Retail will be $220.

Michael Jordan Jumps Over Qiaodan Sports, Wins Lawsuit
By SoleInsider
Remember the surprising news that Michael Jordan lost a lawsuit against Chinese athletic apparel company Qiaodan Sports? ‘Qiaodan’ literally translates out to Jordan and featured an And1-esque silhouette of an anonymous dribbling basketball player, and the brand produced a number of knockoffs that could be directly attributed to His Airness’s signature sneaker line. ?Your name is your DNA, and when someone takes it, I think it?s a violation and you want to protect it.? Michael Jordan said at the time, but in mid-2015, a Beijing court dismissed the trademark case after three years of deliberation. Today, the Supreme People’s Court changed the ruling after initially claiming “Jordan is a common surname used by Americans.?
The landmark ruling means that Qiaodan Sports will have to give up its trademark registrations of the Chinese version of Michael Jordan’s last name. This matter took almost a half-decade to reach a final verdict, and it’s good to know that Michael Jordan will be able to retain exclusive rights to his name and his brand as the sneaker industry continues to grow and have a global impact. What do you think of the ruling? Stay tuned for more of the latest updates right here on Sneaker News and check out all of the coming Jordan Release Dates while you’re here.

Author’s Take
It’s good to see these kind of retros re-released once more. They may not be as highly coveted as other Jordans, but I’m sure the shoe’s have a solid following of consumers that are psyched to get another pair of these.
