The bold high-top design gets more eye-catching than ever with this latest version, featuring a vivid red colorway with a premium mix of materials in a heathered black textile base and leather overlays. An On-Feet Look At The adidas EQT Racing 93 Triple Black
By SoleInsider
Technically, Spring is known as the season of all-white sneakers. But, if you find a sweet pair of all-black sneakers it’s perfectly fine to go against the grain. Today we get a better look at the adidas EQT Racing 93 Triple Black.
This all-back version of the EQT model opts to cover every single part of the shoe in a black motif. That includes the mesh and suede upper, the laces, lining, midsole, adidas branding and everything else I may have missed. Thoughts on the all-black look? If you’re liking the stealth look on the shoe, look for these at your local adidas retailers as they are now arriving at stockists worldwide.
The model is a clean one, but in my opinion it’s hard for it to stand out if it comes in all black. I’d much rather get the shoe with some color on it.
The Air Jordan 4 Premium Black Is The Pinnacle Of Style (And Price)
Already the sleekest and slimmest model of the adidas EQT retro running line, the EQT Racing ’93 just got its stealthiest look ever in all black. The triple black colorway features just that: black from top to bottom with no other color in between. The vintage racing model turned into a modern day casual option is arriving now at select adidas Originals retailers worldwide.
Essentially defined by its intricately knitted upper which bears a mixture of green and brown shades to create a washed-out camouflage motif, the breathable and component is supplemented with a sock-like collar to ensure a superb fit.
Tonal black accents provided by the EVA inserts on the midsole, laces, eye stays, branding on the heel tab and outsole balances out the palette perfectly, while a clean white midsole solidifies its overall construction.
If you’re located overseas, you can purchase this pair at select adidas retailers tomorrow, April 9th. Stay tuned in to KicksOnFire for a U.S. release date in the very near future.
Buy, Pass, Wait: Air Jordan 4 Premium Black, Air Jordan 17 Copper, Air Jordan 10 Paris, New adidas Ultra Boost
By SoleInsider
Normally, our Buy, Pass, Wait segments typically talk about Air Jordan retros in glowing terms and we’re more normally inclined to buy more often than not. You might not like what you’re about to see in this week’s feature because while there are plenty of retros to talk about, they all have a thing or two about them that maybe doesn’t do a good job of enticing the audience to cop.
Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (PASS) After having seen and felt them in person, I can’t get behind this pair. The $400 price tag to me is irrelevant if I feel the shoe is worth buying, but it isn’t. Not for $400, not for $300 which I’m sure these kicks will hit in a few weeks time and not even for $190 GR retros are going for now. As somebody mentioned in the comments of the Periscope, the Black Cat 4s would have been a better alternative.
Andres Carrillo, News: (PASS) Even though the Air Jordan 4 is in my top 3 favorite Jordan silhouettes, I’m gonna have to pass on this colorway. $400 for what Jordan Brand is calling a “premium leather”? Nah I’m good. Maybe if this colorway wasn’t so plain I’d consider it.
Renz Ofiaza, News: (WAIT) I do admire the usage of premium materials and the execution looks solid. In terms of its retail price tag, I’ll have to pass on that. I’d consider purchasing designer-branded sneakers for that price range instead.
Juan Carrillo, News: (PASS) It’s not just the price that pushes me away, it’s the actual shoe. It’s just too plain looking. I’d much rather have the Air Jordan 4 Oreo instead of this. Pony hair? Pony hair!? I don’t think of pony hair when I think of Premium ($400) Come on Jordan Brand. Come on.
Highsnobiety x adidas Ultra Boost
EIC Juan: (PASS) I already have a pair of grey-based Ultra Boosts so doubling up would be foolish. However, if I didn’t already have a gray pair, this would be a solid buy for me.
Andres: (PASS) Being that this is a collaboration I expected more. It’s basically a tonal grey colorway of the Ultra Boost. Didn’t a very similar pair already release? Not taking anything away from Highsnobiety but these are just not for me.
Renz: (BUY) I wouldn’t have guessed this was a collab unless I look really close at the co-branded tongue tabs. I’m a fan of the model in general and in this colorway, it’s pretty versatile and stylish.
News Juan: (BUY) Very nice looking Ultra Boost collaboration. Everything from the leather cage system to the versatile tonal look of the shoe is done right. Great pair of Ultra Boosts.
EIC Juan: (WAIT) Without the suitcase and CD-ROM, it’s a crazy proposition to get anybody to buy these at $250, especially since you can still find a wearable pair of the original release if you try hard enough. However, if these drop below $200 – unlikely given these are a cult favorite – I can see myself copping a pair. They’re cool, just not $250 cool at the moment.
Andres: (PASS) The Air Jordan 17 was the very first Air Jordan that I ever bought way back in 2002 in the black and chrome colorway. Love the shoe but not in this colorway and not for this price. Also, where’s the suitcase Jordan Brand???
Renz: (WAIT) I’m not a big fan of the model, but the colorway is pretty appealing and the luxe detailing gives it a great look.
News Juan: (WAIT) It’s not that I don’t like the shoe, I just don’t see the reasoning behind pricing them at $250. The colorway is solid, but it’s not the one I’ve been waiting on. With that being said, I don’t want to pay that much for a pair of 17s. If they manage to get discounted below $200, I’ll consider it. If they don’t, I move on to the next one.
EIC Juan: (PASS) I don’t live in Europe and my feelings towards the Air Jordan 10 Waffle depending on the colorway. This is a good looking pair of the 10s, but considering I don’t know anybody across the pond who I can trust to hook it up, it’s not looking likely I’ll ever see this outside of a glass case in a consignment store in a few weeks.
Andres: (PASS) For starters I’m not a big fan of the Air Jordan 10, so in order for me to want to buy a pair it has to be a colorway that I really love. It’s cool to see cities outside of the U.S. get their own colorway, but this Paris colorway does nothing for me.
Renz: (PASS) I like the understated colorway most, but that textured upper isn’t appealing to my eyes. A nice gesture to Paris though.
News Juan: (PASS) I’m not a fan of the Air Jordan 10 silhouette. Also, purple is not really my thing. It’s also a Europe exclusive. All these things make it easy for me to pass on the shoe.
Nike Kobe 11 EM Aces
Nike
EIC Juan: (PASS) I was led to believe that the Nike Kobe 11 would only ever come out in Flyknit and in a low-cut configuration. Well, one out of two promises ain’t so bad, but I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a high-cut Kobe 11 in the near future either.
Andres: (WAIT) If only Nike would have made these Flyknit they would have looked 10 times better. The combination of grey and burgundy is clean but this shoe could have been so much better. Nike dropped the ball on this one.
Renz: (BUY) I like the silhouette in general and I’m biased towards the colorway. I like where the contrasting hits of red were placed. Also, that reflective overlays is a nice element.
News Juan: (PASS) If I’m going to pick up a Kobe 11, it’s going to be one with a Flyknit upper. I really don’t see why Nike even bothered to release pairs made out of engineered mesh.
What Air Jordan After The 14 Would You Like To See Return?
EIC Juan: Air Jordan 16 White/Midnight Navy
@zsneakerheadz
These are all but confirmed to return in 2016 so I’m already happy. I remember being blown away by the shroud that covered the upper of the shoe and loving the blue toe. Considering there is now a whole generation of kids out there who grew up possibly having real fond memories of these that are now adults with spending power, this might be a sleeper hit for Jordan Brand. I just hope there’s a size 11 in my future and I won’t have to work hard for it.
Andres: Air Jordan 2011
This is a tough one but I would probably have to say the Air Jordan 2011. I own the white and red pair and wouldn’t mind picking up a couple more colorways that go for some ridiculous prices on the resell market right now. It’s such an underrated shoe.
Renz: Air Jordan 14 Cinder
I cheated, sorry. I just like the simplicity of the colorway. It was last offered in 2005, so it really should receive a retro release soon.
News Juan: Air Jordan 23
airbutchie
Aside from the 17s, which are already releasing, there’s not much I’d like to see come back. If I had to choose a pair, I’d probably go with the Air Jordan 23. I know the released an all-red suede colorway last year (only in Chicago), but I’d like to see an OG colorway make a return. I’d be willing to pick up a pair.

The adidas Tubular Doom Tonal Pack Has A Release Date
By SoleInsider
At last! We now have an official release date for these two tonal colorways of the adidas Tubular Doom that we’ve gotten a couple of different looks at already.
Known as the adidas Tubular Doom Tonal Pack, this duo of Tubulars will come in two different color options that are pretty much opposites. The first pair comes draped in Triple Black that aims to resemble the Yeezy Boost 750 that released last year. Then we have something on the other side of the color wheel with a hot pink pair that would be better suited for the ladies, but judging from the Air Jordan 12s that released earlier this year for the men too.
You can look for the adidas Tubular Doom Tonal Pack at select adidas retailers beginning on April 16th for a retail price of $170 each. Take a look at the official images above and let us know which pair you’ll be going after.
Author’s Take
The pink pair is just a little too much for me so if I had to pick one to rock it would have to be the Triple Black. I’m curious to see how people will react to these when they release.

This adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged Has A Red Boost Midsole!
By SoleInsider
We’ve already seen a few different colorways of the adidas Ultra Boost Uncaged that we expect to release this Summer and Spring. We even saw the Solebox collaboration that dropped a couple of weeks ago.
Today we get our first look at an Ultra Boost Uncaged that comes with a colored BOOST midsole. The upper on this modified version of the popular Ultra Boost comes in a red Primeknit with a contrasting black heel counter. The most interesting part however has to be the red BOOST midsole, a first for any adidas sneaker.
There is no official release date yet but with official images releasing they can’t be too far off. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

A Closer Look At The Highsnobiety x adidas Campus 80s
By SoleInsider
Additional images of the upcoming Highsnobiety x adidas Campus 80s is provided, as the limited edition sneaker is set to debut at more retailers this weekend.
Essentially flaunting a minimalist finish, the silhouette retains its original design, while the leather upper is shaded in tonal grey. Complemented with a matching tongue and laces, the model receives accenting contrasts with butter soft tan leather lining that features custom HS branding and patterning.
Rounded out with a clean white rubber sole unit, additional touches of white are seen on the tongue tabs via co-branding, as well as on the heel tab with the iconic trefoil logo. You can purchase a pair at select adidas stockists on April 9th for $120.
I’m a fan of the silhouette and simplistic execution. I would’ve expected more from the collab, but I can’t complain. The colorway is solid and it’s a versatile offering.

The Highsnobiety x adidas Ultra Boost Is Releasing Soon
By SoleInsider
Following an exclusive HS release this past weekend, the Highsnobiety x adidas Ultra Boost will be debuting at more retailers worldwide starting this Saturday.
Certainly the most popular silhouette from the German sportswear label as of late, this collaborative rendition sports a tonal lavender grey hue across its soft taupe knitted upper. Matching elements such as its distinctive leather cage system, laces, leather insole with custom HS allover patterning and branding, in addition to its branded TPU heel cage component further defines the aesthetic.
All resting atop a clean white midsole and black outsole, additional white accents are seen on the tongue tabs via co-branding. You can purchase this pair at select adidas stockists nationwide on April 9th for a retail price tag of $180.
I’m a big fan of the silhouette in general and in this colorway, it’s exceptionally stylish and versatile. I don’t mind that the collab can only be seen on the interior, aside from the co-branding.
