KoF Live: So adidas Sent Us This Huge Foot Locker (Video)

Whenever the FedEx or UPS delivery truck shows up at the KoF office, it’s always a good day. Admittedly, some days are more exciting than others because there’s always the element of surprise to these packages, but usually the delivery crew is holding the box without exerting too much effort to hand it over to us. This past Thursday was a little bit different though…

If you could see the struggle face on the FedEx driver, you knew that this box was going to be a hefty one. And I found out the hard way as I tried to hold both the box and my dog Swaggy, who has a penchant for running out the door whenever we get a delivery. Yes, I have a dog named Swaggy.

As it turns out, the big uh, foot locker was for the newly reissued adidas ClimaCool 1 and the box was a joint effort by the retailer and adidas Originals. Looks like the three stripes is doing all they can to get people aware and hyped for the lightweight runner. They’ve been able to string a series of hits together recently with their Flux and Tubular series, not to mention the EQT retros so why not try the cult classic?

If you were watching our Facebook Live unboxing, you’ll know that the tonal all-black colorway was not the most well-received of the bunch however. It will be interesting to see if the other colorways of the ClimaCool 1 will get a fair shake from the sneaker community.

To stay up to date on all of our live unboxings, be sure to like us on Facebook and follow us on Periscope and comment on what we get as it happens and you might also see a person or two get banned for getting out of hand, which is always fun.

A Closer Look At Footpatrols adidas Consortium EQT Cushion 93

The next stop in the adidas Consortium world tour this year is London, where the premium division of the Three Stripes collaborates with Footpatrol on the EQT Cushion 93. The London sneaker shop gives their very own look to the vintage runner featuring a mix of white, black, grey, and burgundy hues for a brand-new colorway that simultaneously looks like it could have been an OG colorway from 1993. The color palette was actually inspired by the vintage adidas London runner, and is constructed in nylon, mesh, pigskin suede, and synthetic nubuck. The excellent take on the silhouette drops tomorrow, April 23rd at Footpatrol and select adidas Consortium retailers worldwide.

More Images Of The Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith Metallic Silver

ADIDAS STAN SMITH 1 ADIDAS STAN SMITH 2 ADIDAS STAN SMITH 3

Not too long ago we gave you a first look at the Raf Simons x adidas Originals Stan Smith Metallic Silver. If you were interested in picking up the shoe we have more images to show you today.

Dressed in a Metallic Silver upper, this Stan Smith takes things to a whole new level in comparison to its more casual white leather releases. The entire upper on this pair is covered in a glossy silver hue with the only hits of contrast coming on the branding on the tongue and heel as well as the rubber sole unit which are all done in white. A perforated ?R? logo has also been placed on the side panels for Raf Simons instead of the traditional three stripes branding.

Do you like this Metallic Silver colorway better than the Metallic Copper pair? Let us know which you prefer in the comments below and look for them to arrive at select adidas retailers in the near future.

Author’s Take

This looks like something that the Tin Man would wear. Some colorways of the Stan Smith are cool but this isn’t one that I would consider buying.

Since its introduction in Fall 2014, the adidas Originals Tubular Runner has been well-received, as more colorways of the silhouette continue to be offered throughout the season.

As part of its Spring 2016 range, the popular silhouette is rendered in a tonal grey finish. Composed of furry suede and textile accents, the sneaker is outfitted with its distinctive sole unit in a pristine white hue to cap off the clean palette as well as solidifying its composition.

Retailing for $110, you can purchase a pair at select adidas accounts nationwide now.

The Pink Sole On This adidas Tubular Radial Looks Too Good

adidas Tubular Radial 2 adidas Tubular Radial 1

Is it just me or does this new colorway of the adidas Tubular Radial remind you of a certain OG Roshe Run?

It may just be a strange coincidence (or probably not), but this new Tubular Radial may have taken inspiration from Nike for this release. The entire upper of this low-top Tubular is done in Black neoprene with leather detailing landing on the heel. What really catches your eye though is the hot pink Tubular midsole/outsole. Whether the Tubular Radial is better than the Roshe Run is completely up to you, but at least we have more options now.

Let us know what you think of this black/pink colorway of the adidas Tubular Radial and look for them at select adidas accounts in the near future.

via: Overkill

Author’s Take

I’ll admit that this is more pink than the “Siren Red” colorway of the Roshe Run, but I definitely see the resemblance. I already own the Roshes so these are a pass for me.

A Detailed Look At The adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5 Low Jeremy Lin PE

Jeremy Lin looks like he found a home in Charlotte. Although he and his team is currently down 2-0 versus Miami in the NBA playoffs, the team (and Jeremy) has improved greatly as the NBA season progressed. Could it be possible that we could soon see Linsanity 2.0? I guess only time will tell.

Formerly a part of the Nike family, Lin is now a part of team adidas. With the Three Stripes supporting and backing him up, they have decided to give him his own PE in the form of an adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5 Low. The adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5 Low Jeremy Lin PE comes in a black and silver colorway topped off with an argyle pattern placed on the midfoot region of the shoe. Additional features on the shoe include the webbed netting on the vamp and the carbon fiber on the toe. A silver heel counter with adidas branding breaks up the tonal look of the upper. Jeremy Lin?s ?JL7? logo is placed on the tongue, while more silver is located on the midsole and eyelets. Available internationally, keep it locked to find out if these find their way stateside.

Author’s Take

The adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5 Low is a clean looking model, dressing it in black and silver makes the shoe look even better. Great PE for Jeremy Lin.

Our First Look At The adidas Tubular Nova Primeknit Emerald

Adidas Tubular Nova Primeknit 1 Adidas Tubular Nova Primeknit 2 Adidas Tubular Nova Primeknit 3

The Tubular Nova was recently blessed with a Primeknit upper. We’ve only seen a couple of colorways drop on the new model, but we’re sure that many more are on the way. Today we get our first look at the adidas Tubular Nova Primeknit Emerald.

The Nova Primeknit comes with the same silhouette and branding as the OG Nova, the only (major) difference comes in the Primeknit construction, thus making the shoe look and feel better. Suede detailing is found in areas such as the Three Stripes branding, while the Primeknit upper comes in an Emerald Blue and Black colorway. Lastly, a textured outsole fitted with the brand’s traditional EVA cushioning is placed below. Set to drop later on this month for $160, are you looking to pick up this colorway?

Author’s Take

Primeknit makes the model look better. This colorway is cool, but I’d rather wait for something a little better than this. Plus, can thie price be like $120? Thanks.

The adidas Busenitz has received a major upgrade this year thanks to the addition of a BOOST midsole.

Now known as the adidas Busenitz Pure Boost, this modified version of the classic skating sneakers comes with a grey mesh upper with black detailing on the branding tag on the tongue, the heel counter and the leather heel tab. Where the biggest change comes is with the new BOOST midsole which has been done in white. A black rubber outsole caps things off.

If you’re looking for a dope and comfy sneaker to wear when you’re not riding on the board then you may wanna give the new adidas Busenitz Pure Boost a try. You can find it now at select adidas retailers for $130.

Author’s Take

I’m really diggin’ this new look for the Busenitz. A premium mesh upper AND a Boost midsole? It doesn’t get much better than that. This is one of the first adidas Skateboarding sneakers ever that I’m actually considering buying.

Sneaker Satire: adidas Yeezy Boost Golf Shoes Are A Billion Dollar Idea

With today’s release and no doubt sellout of the Air Jordan 9 Golf sneakerheads around the world are proving a point to brands everywhere that they don’t want the traditional golf shoe; they want the brands to bring the heat. Jordan Brand has a huge start on this – retros with baseball and football cleats are already the norm – and this trend will only continue to grow. But there is one brand out there that can outhype and outsell Jordan Brand should they ever decide to bring their own fire to the mix.

Yup, Yeezys and golf. It’s perfect, right?

Yeezy Golf 1

As we have covered in this space before Nike Golf have been doing all that they can to make the game of golf more appealing to a younger audience.  Through more contemporary apparel and popular silhouettes that makes sense on the golf course and of course Jordan Brand has pitched in with their retros, Nike Golf has the kids. Adidas Golf really hasn’t done much in the youth space thus far, although they have put Boost on some of their golf shoes and based on reviews they are some of the more comfortable and popular golf shoes at the moment. But the weapon that maybe they don’t even realize they have is adidas Originals and a collaboration between the two could prove to be very fruitful.

For the past few years now, Originals has had the magic touch at the three stripes, bringing back classics like the Stan Smith and introducing new or remixed concepts like the ZX Flux and the Tubular to huge success. Kanye West and his Yeezys have played a huge part in this turnaround, but there are so many more untapped places that they can dive into. Whether people like it or not and whether or not he’s a creative genius or a very well-paid figurehead, the Kanye name travels. And I want to see it in golf just for the hell of it.

via Golf on Tumblr
via Golf on Tumblr

Kanye West doesn’t really have that much connection to golf other than this old picture and a random article about Rory McIlroy wanting to play a round with him. But imagine if Adidas gave Mr. West the ability to design his own golf collection with the same amount of freedom he was afforded with his Yeezy apparel. It would be outrageous and different and would probably be banned from more than a few private clubs out there, but that’s half the fun. Can you imagine a bunch of kids dressed up like extra from The Book Of Eli walking around Riviera? What if there’s a secret adidas Yeezy Boost 550 Golf shoe in the works that we don’t know about? Kanye would challenge the authority of golf and in the process introduce the sport to a whole new generation. Yeah, the game will still be exclusive and expensive as hell and more than a few analysts say that golf is dead to the so-called millennial generation, but then again those same people said Kanye wasn’t influential. Nobody knows anything and nobody knows until they give it a shot, basically, so why not make Yeezy Golf a thing?

Picture this scenario for the U.S. Open this June at Oakmont, aka site of the greatest performance in golf history according to Johnny Miller because it was by Johnny Miller: For the last group we’ve got Keegan Bradley wearing the Air Jordan 11 Space Jam Golf as a golf shoe and the co-leader is Jason Day wearing the adidas Yeezy Boost 350… Golf. Such a pairing might not do wonders for the ratings, but Golf and Sneaker Twitter would blow up to mythical proportions. We already saw a little bit of it when Bradley wore some unknown Js for The Maters so one can only imagine the hype and buzz an 11 and a Yeezy on a major Sunday would garner. No disrespect to Jordan Spieth, but that would be the greatest golf shoe pairing of all time. It’s such a crazy idea that maybe this shouldn’t be a Sneaker Satire post… nah…

As part of an ongoing “Marathon” series, that follows up on the Boston, Berlin, and Dublin iteration, this latest variation of the adidas EQT Running Support 93 draws inspiration from the shades of red prominently seen in London?s streets.

Flaunting the defining hue across the majority of its suede upper, tongue label and inner lining, accents of black converge along toe tongue, laces, side panels, toe box and heel panel to create an aesthetically pleasing contrast.

The label’s signature three-stripe motif is rendered in white to pronounce the design even further, while the pristine tone is continued on the midsole. Finished off with a classic gum bottom and the UK Union Jack seen on the heel tabs, you can purchase a pair at select adidas accounts this, Saturday, April 23rd.

Author’s Take

Aside from the theme, this colorway on the silhouette is pretty appealing. I like the model overall and that gum bottom makes it even better.

LV Vibes All-Over This Custom adidas Yeezy 350 Boost

adidas Yeezy 350 Boost adidas Yeezy 350 Boost 1

The adidas Yeezy 350 Boost is certainly a coveted sneaker, as it was crowned the 2015 Shoe of The Year.

The popularity of the silhouette has given customizers chances to create a unique iteration of the model, which are either adored or despised. Case in point, this latest design via SoleShotta, who does custom work, although not particularly this shoe.

Flaunting the iconic LV monogram across its entire upper, the shoe’s construction essentially mimics the historic French label’s hand bags with leather trimming along the collar and its distinctive heel tab.

Finished off with gold laces and a tan colored sole unit to perfectly coordinate with the theme, would you consider purchasing this pair?

Pass. These will definitely grab anyone’s attention, but it’s not my taste. The execution is superb though.
