Triple Pink Lands On The adidas EQT Support ADV
By SoleInsider
The adidas EQT Support ADV is without a doubt one of the best adidas drops of the year. All of the colorways that have dropped have managed to sell out. Up next is this bold Triple Pink offering for the ladies. Let’s get a first look at the shoe.
Just like you’d expect with a name like “Triple Pink”, the adidas EQT Support ADV comes dressed in a Light Pink hue from top to bottom. This includes the ribbon Three Stripes branding, mesh upper, heel cage, sole unit, laces, lining and everything else I did not mention. The only (non visible) that does not come in Pink would be the EQT Green placed on the insoles of the shoe. Said to be dropping in the near future, will this be a part of you sneaker rotation?
I’m a big fan of the model, but I’ve yet to pick up a pair. This all-Pink colorway is cool and all, but it’s definitely not the look I’m going for when it comes to this silhouette.
Is This The Authentic Version Of The Next Pharrell x adidas NMD
By SoleInsider
A couple of new colorways of the Pharrell x adidas NMD have surfaced this week with one coming in red and the other in green. There is now conflicting reports that those pairs which have surfaced and read “HUMAN” “RACE” on the uppers may not be authentic.
The new pair that we see above is believed to be the authentic pair and only has “Hu” written on the uppers with a triangle around it. Other details include black detailing on the lacing system and a white Boost midsole. There has been no confirmation by adidas yet on whether which pairs are real and which ones aren’t, but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire and we’ll do our best to give you the latest updates. Do you like this pair with only “Hu” written on the uppers or do you prefer the HUMAN RACE version?
This adidas Y-3 Qasa High Takes Premium To Another Level
By SoleInsider
In recent weeks we took a look at the new Vista Grey colorway of the adidas Y-3 Qasa High that was a hit with fans of the brand/silhouette.
This new colorway keeps it in the tonal family but instead of going with the all-grey look we see it dressed in the popular Triple Black motif. Unlike most of the Qasa Highs that release which use a heavy amount of neoprene, this pair replaces the neoprene sections with a premium leather along with suede overlays. Waxed laces have also been added to go along with the premium look and feel of the shoe.
What are your thoughts on this extra premium version of the Y-3 Qasa High? Do you plan on copping? Let us know in the comments below.
A Dash Of Color On The adidas Originals Superstar Speckled Pack
By SoleInsider
Following up the adidas Originals Polygon Pack that we just took a look at, we now shift our focus to the original shell toe.
Adidas has given the Superstar the speckled treatment for the Summer in two different versions. Both pairs utilize all-white leather uppers with tonal hits on the rubber shell toe, laces, inner liner, and midsole. The difference between both colorways is that one has colorful speckling on the entire leather upper and tongue, and the other only has speckling on the Three Stripes branding and the heel tab.
You’ll be able to pick up the adidas Originals Superstar Speckled Pack at select retailers in the near future.
Embossed Uppers Highlight The adidas Originals Polygon Pack
By SoleInsider
Adidas Originals will be releasing a new collection that consists of three classic silhouettes that utilize a similar pattern/build.
Known as the adidas Originals Polygon Pack, this collection included the Pro Model, Stan Smith, and Court Advantage. All three models come equipped with leather uppers that feature embossed triangular patterns all throughout. The Pro Model and Stan Smith have been done in all-black with the exception of a white sole unit and the Court Vantage takes on the all-white look for the Summer.
Look for the adidas Originals Polygon Pack at select retailers beginning on August 5th. Which pair will you be going after?
James Harden And adidas Basketball Call Their Shot With The Harden Project
By SoleInsider
Rarely do you hear about signature basketball production months in advance of its release directly from the brand. Yes, Jordan Brand is introducing the latest Air Jordan earlier than ever before to prevent leaks and you might see an athlete rock a weartest model during practice a season prior to its debut, but it’s not everyday that a whole marketing campaign is being devoted to teasing the release of a signature shoe in December and it’s only July. But that’s what James Harden and adidas Basketball are doing with Project Harden.
Introduced last week during adidas’ LVL3 event, our first look at Project Harden was through a virtual reality experience. We had several minutes to actually check out what will become Harden’s signature shoe without actually seeing it because they were either too far or moving too fast to really make out concrete details, other than it might be a fancier version of the adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5. Now a veteran sneaker blogger who also happens to write about video games for a living might chalk this up as a clever, but not completely new, way to build hype for an upcoming release, fans who are going to get a chance this see this throughout the summer are going to be blown away by this special look. It’s like they’re a part of something they’re not supposed to see, but they like it and now they’re hooked and locked in to whatever adidas and Harden have in store for them.
adidas
Let’s be honest here; adidas Basketball needed to go in a different direction. There hasn’t been that much excitement for them since before Derrick Rose’s first injury and the time in between has been about refocusing on what being an adidas athlete means. For the past several years adidas Basketball has not been up to snuff compared to what the other parts of Adidas have been doing, whether it’s adidas Running or adidas Originals or adidas Baseball and even Football. Each of those sectors lately have focused on what sneakerheads have been clamoring for; shoes that balance the line between performance and style and at same time bring in icons from both worlds. The response to Harden’s Crazylight Boost PEs says that they are moving forward.
Some experts scoff at the value of hyping up artists like Kanye West or Pharrell or Pusha T, but their influence on “the culture” (the nebulous term that I admittedly am not always up on) is broad and they attract eyes that normally don’t pay attention to an Ultra Boost or a Superstar or an EQT. When there was a giant truck full of adidas gear that rolled up at Harden’s house right around the time he officially signed with the brand last year, it was loaded with not just basketball stuff, but plenty of kicks made of off the court. Regardless of how “real” that spot was and how “surprised” Harden really was, it was a fun and casual spot that people enjoyed for what it was. Fans love that fun that adidas is bringing right now. They’re striking that balance that is hitting the consumers in the best possible light.
A few years ago, there was a wild rumor going around that Russell Westbrook was going to sign with adidas. He ended up at Jordan Brand as history would have it, but imagine Russ the controversial style icon taking things to the next level with adidas Originals. James Harden is that guy now for adidas and just like his former Thunder buddy, (ideally) he is going to change our perception of what signature basketball can be for on and off the court. The hype train for Project Harden is going to be an interesting one to watch in the coming months and the best part is you can watch the confidence yourself through those VR headsets.

adidas Originals is always finding new ways to showcase some of their most iconic performance turned lifestyle models. The adidas Stan Smith gets a clean all-white makeover to showcase the revamped tooling in a simple yet effective way. Author’s Take
I have a feeling that lots of guys will try to pick up this pair for themselves if they can find their size. I think it’s decent but just too much mint for my liking.
Stand Out In More Ways Than One With The adidas Y-3 Kohna EQT Green
By SoleInsider
As if the adidas Y-3 Kohna wasn’t distinct enough, adidas goes ahead and dresses the entire shoe in a EQT Green motif. Rocking a bold aesthetic, let’s get our first look at the adidas Y-3 Kohna EQT Green.
The Y-3 Kohna is has a very minimalis style that also manages to feel modern at the same time. The shoe is constructed out of neoprene and leather throughout all done in the aforementioned EQT Green colorway. Notable features on the shoe include the split outsole and the unique paneling. Thoughts on this new colorway? Expect these to drop in the near future. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
The EQT Green colorway is beginning to grow on me. Seeing is plastered all over this model is refreshing being that it’s usually used as the accented colorway. Regardless, I like it.
