Behold The adidas Stan Smith With Primeknit And Boost

adidas just combined their trendiest retro silhouette, the Stan Smith, with their two innovations in Boost and Primeknit. While we’ve already seen the iconic tennis shoe with both materials, combining all three into one solo release is certainly a first. It only makes sense that adidas kicks it off with the original Fairway Green colorway, so if you’re a fan of Stans, Primeknit, and Boost, there really is no debate as to why you shouldn’t pick up a pair. Retailers such as Overkill are stocking them now; Green and Navy are up for grabs.

Our First Look At The adidas Stan Smith Boost Primeknit

Woah, that didn’t take long. The adidas Stan Smith Boost made its debut a few weeks ago, but adidas has wasted no time in creating a new Stan Smith Boost that also utilizes a Primeknit upper.

If you’re looking for a classic adidas sneaker that utilizes two of the Three Stripes’ most loved tech features, this is the pair you my have been waiting for. The adidas Stan Smith Boost Primeknit comes with a White Primeknit upper opposed to the leather upper we intially saw on the model a few weeks back. Replacing the leather with Primeknit resulting in making the shoe lighter, more breathable and even more comfortable. The Boost sole also comes in White, as do the laces, and lining. Creating contrast are the Green hits noted on the heel tab and tongue branding. When it comes to comfort, this version of the Stan Smith is as good as it gets with the model. Available internationally, we will let you know when they arrive stateside.

The pair that we see above comes covered in Collegiate Navy throughout the majority of the upper with tan detailing on the heel and white by the toe. Finishing things up is a zip closure that replaces the use of laces.

Today we get a look at the coming adidas EQT Boost 91-16 featuring that vibrant Turbo Red shade atop a premium white tonal upper. The United Arrows & Sons x adidas NMD City Sock Releases This Month

Remember those MikiType NMD City Socks? We got a good look at the coming collaboration featuring the Tokyo-based calligrapher and type designer all the way back in January, and it turns out that the collaboration is part of a larger teaming up between United Arrows & Sons.

Yeezy Mafia has the full scoop complete with official images, as the medial side of this NMD City Sock features jagged Katakana callouts that despite three years of High School Japanese classes, I can’t really tell you what it all means. But it definitely looks good. The simple black slip-on Primeknit upper is reminiscent of the Wool pair that dropped a year ago to kick off the sleek silhouette while black midsole bumpers contrast the traditional White Boost and gum outsole.

Check out more angles below and know that this pair is slated to release on March 24th, 2017 at select retailers. We’re still unsure about what regions this collaborative NMD will be available at, but stay tuned for more specific Release Date updates right here on Sneaker News.

A Subtle Update To The adidas NMD R1 Triple Black 2017

The popular adidas NMD R1 will release in another triple black variant this year, as it was previously released last September.

Essentially similar from afar, what separates this upcoming 2017 version is directed at its upper construction. Unlike last year’s mesh build, the silhouette incorporates a ribbed textured composition with a slick stretch mesh material.

Further detailed with reflective 3M accents on its three stripe motif on the sides, the model is topped off with a matching full-length boost sole unit with EVA inserts.

Look for this pair to debut at select adidas retailers starting tomorrow, March 16th for a price tag of $140.

Additional Japanese lettering is seen on the frontal EVA insert, while a clean white boost midsole unit and gum outsole caps off the sleek and simple design altogether.

Author’s Take

Juan Carrillo, News: The font used on the upper is a nice subtle addition to the shoe. My only complaint would be that I’d want more of it, perhaps on the lateral sides as well. Aside from that, it’s pretty clean.

The Kansas Jayhawks Are Gifted A Special Pair Of The adidas AlphaBOUNCE

The March Madness tournament gets underway today and the Kansas Jayhawks were gifted a special pair of kicks in honor of them being the #1 seed in the Midwest division.

As you can see above, the Jayhawks received a special version of the adidas AlphaBOUNCE. The shoe features a white and grey mesh upper which come housed in a special triangular box as well as a Kansas dustbag. Unfortunately for us, these will remain exclusive to the men’s basketball team which means we won’t be able to get our hands on a pair. More Images Of The Calabasas x adidas Power Phase

Above you will find what is known as the Calabasas x adidas Power Phase, also known as the next project between Kanye West and adidas. We’ve seen already the model worn by Kanye in the past, but we now got word that the shoe is close to actually releasing.

Right off the bat you can see that the Calabasas x adidas Power Phase looks nothing like any adidas x Yeezy collabs dropped over the last couple of years. As a matter of fact, the shoe actually resembles the look of the Reebok Workout (Reebok is owned by adidas). The shoe comes with a White leather upper with adidas and Calabasas branding placed on the side panels. The all-White sole unit, and the use of tonal stitching used to represent the Three-Stripes branding results in a very simple and minimal aesthetic. Rumors are circulating that when the shoe does end up releasing it will retail for $120. Kanye fans, is this a worthy cop? Stay tuned as more info on this release begins to surface.
