Back in the middle of March we gave you a first look at the Nike LeBron 13 Elite. Said to be the shoe of choice for LeBron James’ postseason run, today we take a closer look at all three colorways of the Nike LeBron 13 Elite set to release in the coming months.

This upgraded version of the Nike Lebron 13 will have notable features such as enlarged carbon fiber plate and a snug inner bootie to provide enhanced lockdown and stability. Another feature worth mentioning is the durable Kurim cage and the two additional Zoom Air units placed on the sole of the shoe. The colorways you will be able to choose from include black/silver, red/silver and white/gold. As of right now, Complex has stated that the red version will release on April 14th, the white colorway will drop on May 5th and the black colorway drops on May 26th? Is this an improvement from the Lebron 13? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Author’s Take

I like the Elite version way better than the original LeBron 13. It’s probably because they removed the boomerang look from the side of the shoe. With that being said, if you’re going to want a pair, prepare to pay a hefty price tag for them as I’m sure Nike will price them pretty expensive.

Can Kyrie Irving Fill Kobe Bryants Shoes At Nike

Kyrie Irving and Kobe Bryant are different players. One is an all-time great that nearly duplicated (and in some ways, surpassed) the game and accomplishments of the greatest to ever play the game of basketball. The other is a lightning quick point guard still trying to find his way in the league, although his popularity and style of play has already placed him in superstar stratosphere. But what they both have in common is a brand that is committed to being the best and pushing the boundaries of innovation to its limit. As the sun sets on the career of one, Nike believes that the other can take its place. It sounds like a stretch to maybe a lot of people, but that’s why the swoosh is where they are today; they’re not afraid to take a chance. And if you’re a betting man, Kyrie Irving is not a bad guy to put your fortunes on.

Champs Sports explores the possibilities for Kyrie as he takes his place among the greats in the sneaker world. Check out the full feature on their blog, TheDrop.

Nike Clean Sweeps The Mens And Womens Final Four Sponsorship

Nike once again proves why they continue to be the brand to beat. For the 11th time in history, the Men’s and Women’s Final Four is comprised of teams that are sponsored by Nike. You want furtehr proof as to why Nike is the top dog? Get this, over the last decade, Nike has sponsored 80% of the Division 1 Final Four basketball appearances. Another example of their dominance is that 69% of this year’s men’s tournament consisted of Nike sponsored teams, whereas the women’s tournament held a respectable 58%. Which leads to my next question, how many Nike sponsored teams have won the NCAA Division 1 Championship? Well, being that whoever wins this year will be Nike, 16 men?s teams and 13 women?s teams have been named the cream of the crop. Amazing.

The Nike MayFly Woven Is Releasing In Womens-Exclusive Colorways

The Nike MayFly returns in four new woven colorways exclusively in a women’s size run for Spring 2016. One of the lightest running shoes Nike’s ever made, the MayFly was created in stark contrast to the theory of longevity, as the shoe helped long distance runners by being incredibly lightweight and thus promised a shorter lifespan. The same can’t be said about the lifestyle Nike MayFly Woven though, as a bolstered suede upper sees a chukka-like inspiration with a horizontal woven stripe slicing through the side panels to run parallel to the midsole. Vachetta Tan lining and brief glimpses of gum accents on the outsole add a lifestyle touch to four colorways ranging from Sail, Black, Midnight Navy, and Maroon. Check out more photos below and expect these women’s MayFly releases to hit retailers later this April.

Nike Dominates Mens And Womens Final Four Sponsorship

For the 11th time in history, the Final Four will be comprised of teams solely sponsored by Nike for both the men’s and women’s tournaments. The March Madness numbers are staggering: in the past decade alone, the Swoosh has sponsored around 80 percent of Division 1 Final Four basketball appearances. Looking at the tournament as a whole, 69 percent of this year’s men’s tournament featured teams representing Nike, while the women’s tournament fielded well over half at 58 percent. So how many teams have won the NCAA Division 1 Championship wearing Nike branding? After a guaranteed Nike victory this year, 16 men’s teams and 13 women’s teams have cut down the nets while saluting the Swoosh. That’s dominance.

More Kids-Only Nike Kyrie 2 Releases Are Coming Soon

The Nike Kyrie 2 hasn’t seen as many grade school-centric releases as its predecessor, but the playful skateboard inspiration has a new pair joining the ranks as a kids only colorway with the Kyrie 2 GS White Red. The color choice of White and Univeristy Red almost makes the pair look like a Christmas offering thanks to speckling and an icy outsole, but the inspiration for the look remains unclear. Faint graphics of a hand holding up the number 1 sign hit the tongue and ankle collar while the midfoot strap cuts the shoe’s color blocking into half red, half white. Spots like Villa have the pair in stock right now, so act now while supplies last.

This bright and bold colorway of the popular Nike Air Foamposite One features Optic Yellow throughout the entire shell upper as well as parts of the the outsole, tongue, tongue, heel and pull tabs, and the Nike and One cent branding on the toe and heel. The rest of the shoe is done in Black including the outsole, tongue, inner liner, eyestay and laces.

Author’s Take

Now that I’ve seen what the shoe looks like I’m definitely disappointed. How is a plan yellow and black Foamposite with no special branding or graphics a “Wu-Tang” colorway? Nike should have added something special to make these stand out.

Both colorways are very nice. I’m a fan of the tonal look on the Sock Darts and the speckled midsoles just give the shoe a much cleaner look. If I had to pick a pair I would go with the black one.

The Nike Air Huarache has been one of Nike’s most popular sneakers of the past year and a half or so. Ever since Nike decided to bring back the retro runner that was designed by Tinker Hatfield people haven’t been able to get enough.

With popular colorways like the Easter Pack having released a couple of weeks ago, fans of the silhouette are always waiting for the next colorway to drop. Well a new colorway is beginning to release and once again it will come in women’s sizing. This is one of the most interesting pairs that we’ve seen lately as it features a couple of crazy prints on the side panel overlays and the toecap. The majority of the neoprene upper is done in Pure Platinum with peach, blue and black accents adding some contrast. The midsole has been done in white while the rubber outsole is black.

This colorway has been labeled as a PRM so it retails for $130. Head on over to your local Nike retailer now for availability and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Author’s Take

I like the different prints used on this Huarache but the peach and light blue hits make it look too much like a women’s colorway. Definitely a solid color for the ladies though.

I’ve yet to pick up a pair of Prestos but it’s going to be tough for me to pass on these Flyknit versions. They just look too clean. I wish the collar wasn’t so high though.

Not really feeling it. The Phylon midsole looks to chunky paired up with the mesh upper. The lacing system is not my style either, maybe with actual laces the shoe would look better.
