Eric Kostons Innovative Nike SB Skate Shoe Releases In Black/White

Although the design may very well be the most technically advanced skate shoe ever, the Nike SB Eric Koston 3 Hyperfeel gets down to basics with this latest colorway. Because no skate shoe should go without the color scheme, the Koston 3 opts for the traditional black-with-white-accents look for its combination Flyknit, mesh, and suede upper. If it’s the colorway of the Koston 3 you’ve been waiting for, don’t hesitate to grab a pair now at select Nike SB retailers like Premier.

Nikes #MambaDay Graphic Becomes Most Successful NIKEiD Launch Ever

If you pulled the trigger and created your own Nike Kobe 11 using the #MambaDay graphic on NIKEiD on Wednesday/Thursday, congratulations. It’s being reported that the #MambaDay graphic has become Nike’s most successful launch ever on NIKEiD with a 100% sell-through rate.

The #MambaDay graphic just adds to the plethora of releases of Nike Kobe sneakers that have been releasing the past couple of weeks leading up to his retirement on April 13, 2016. It was all started by the Nike Kobe Black Mamba/Fade To Black Pack and was capped off with the #MambaDay option on NIKEiD that was a instant hit. The Nike Kobe 11 Black Mamba that Kobe wore for his final game was also a major hit as resell prices skyrocketed after his 60 point performance.

Tinfoil Coats The Nike SB Dunk Low Cold Pizza

Following its official reveal, more detailed images of the Nike SB Dunk Low Cold Pizza are provided, as the model has now arrived at select retailers.

Appropriately following up on the Waffle release, this food-inspired pair essentially evokes the theme primarily on its insoles with the graphic of the delectable fast food. Additionally, the model’s exterior consists of a metallic silver tinfoil finish to further correspond to its theme perfectly.

Contrasted with tonal black accents on the Swoosh logo, inner lining, tongue, laces and outsole, the sneaker is finished off by a clean white midsole unit, while more white accents are seen on the heel tab and tongue via branding.

Priced at $100, fans can purchase a pair at select Nike accounts nationwide now.

via: Premier

Author’s Take

I used to collect this silhouette often back then but I haven’t purchased one in years. This variation is another solid offering. Overall, the colorway is bold but still versatile. The theme is cool as well.

New Colorways Of The NikeLab Bruin Have Just Released

Nike Bruin 1 Nike Bruin 2 Nike Bruin 3 Nike Bruin 4 Nike Bruin 5 Nike Bruin 6

Seemingly out of nowhere, Nike has just released two brand new colorways of the NikeLab Bruin Leather.

After releasing in the Marty McFly colorway last year, there is now two new colorways available of the NikeLab Bruin Leather. The first pair comes with a White leather upper and Loyal Blue detailing on the Swoosh branding, heel tab and the Nike branding on the tongue. The second colorway also features a White leather upper but this time gets hit with Wolf Grey accents.

Both pairs can be purchased now directly from nike.com for $150. Will you be scooping up either colorway?

via: Nike

Author’s Take

The NikeLab Bruin Leather is a simple and classic silhouette, but I’m just not a fan. In my opinion the design of the Bruin is just too plain. And I doubt anyone would be willing to pay $150 for this shoe.

Nike Introduces The Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit

Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit 1 Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit 2 Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit 3 Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit 4 Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit 5 Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit 6

Nike has just introduced a new runner/trainer with the Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit.

If this shoe looks somewhat familiar that’s because it has a close resemblance to the Nike LunarEpic Flyknit. What makes the Zoom All Out Flyknit different from the LunarEpic Flyknit is the midsole. The new Zoom All Out Flyknit uses a full-length Zoom unit instead of the Lunarlon sole that we saw on the LunarEpic Flyknit. The entire upper of the shoe is constructed out of Flyknit along with the extended collar.

There is no release date at the moment for the Nike Zoom All Out Flyknit yet but you can take a look at the official images of the volt/pink colorway above and stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Author’s Tale

Flyknti upper and full-length Zoom? I imagine that this shoe will probably feel like the Air Max Flyknit but with an extended collar. I don’t like this colorway at all but I look forward to see more color options.

The Olympic Colorway Of The Nike Air More Uptempo Will This Summer

NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 1 NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 3 NIKE AIR MORE UPTEMPO 4

The Summer Olympics will be returning in 2016 and this year they’ll be taking place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Nike has big plans for the Summer as they’re expected to release lots of different Olympic-themed sneakers, old and new.

One of the those old sneakers that will be making a comeback for the Olympic season is the Nike Air More Uptempo whic currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. With the White/Varsity Red colorway already arriving at select retailers and the OG Black/White pair scheduled to get a wider nike.com release next week, we can now add the Olympic colorway to the list. This Nike Air More Uptempo features a Midnight Navy upper with contrasting White on the AIR branding and Sport Red on the Nike branding on the tongue. The number 8, which was Pippen’s Olympic number, is outlined in gold on the heel to complete the Olympic theme.

The Nike Air More Uptempo Olympic 2016 version is currently scheduled to release on July 4, 2016. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Note: The images above are not of the 2016 version.

Author’s Take

Olympic colorway sneakers are always cool to see because the combination of red, white and blue looks good most of the time. The touches of gold are also a nice finishing touch. I have a feeling lots of people will be looking forward to this classic colorway of the Air More Uptempo.

Europe Will Be Getting The Nike Sock Dart Hasta Next Week

Nike Sock Dart 5 Nike Sock Dart 6

Not only is the Black and White version of the Nike Sock Dart releasing in Europe next week, they’re also going to be blessed with the Nike Sock Dart Hasta.

This brand new colorway of the Sock Dart comes dressed in a muted green mesh upper that’s then nicely contrasted by the white accents placed on the heel counter and speckled midsole. Just like the Black and White version, Europe residents can expect to pick up the Hasta colorway on April 21st. It’s only a matter of time before the states get a release date on the bad boys.

Author’s Take

This shade of green always looks good on sneakers, and this pair is no exception. Great looking shoe that I hope we get to see in the states sooner rather than later.

The Nike Sock Dart Black / White Now Has An International Release Date

Nike Sock Dart 3 Nike Sock Dart 4

We recently covered the upcoming Nike Sock Dart Black / White. We didn’t know the exact release date of the shoe, but we knew that it would be dropping sometime in April. Today we get the latest information regarding when you’ll be able to get your hands on a pair.

Set to release in Europe on April 21st, the Sock Dart rocks a black mesh upper complimented by the white placed on the heel counter and midsole of the shoe. Thecage comes in a translucent/black aesthetic, while the speckling on the midsole gives the shoe some extra oomph. Now that we know the shoe’s drop internationally on the 21st, it’s only a matter of time before we find out when they drop stateside.

Author’s Take

Classic colorway. I’ve never owned a pair of Sock Darts, but this looks like a good one to pick up.

The NBA Playoffs finally get underway tomorrow and the Cavaliers will be facing the Detroit Pistons in the first round. With the Nike LeBron 13 Elite just releasing yesterday, it’s very likely that we’ll be seeing LeBron wear the 13 Elites for his entire postseason run and we’ll no longer see the original LeBron 13.

But if you’re looking for a pair of LeBron 13 Lows that you can rock casually or on the court then you may be interested in this new black and red colorway. This LeBron 13 Low starts off with a Black upper and is accented by University Red on the tongue and heel pulls tabs, outsole and the Nike branding that appears throughout the shoe. A White midsole adds some balance and contrast to the overall look of the shoe.

Arriving at select Nike retailers in the near future, let us know your thoughts on this colorway of the Nike LeBron 13 Low. Is this your favorite one so far?

via: Nike

Author’s Take

Another colorway of the LeBron 13 Low that I like. I’ve liked almost every clorway that has released a lot better than the original mid/high LeBron 13. Nike did a good job with this low-top.

Buy, Pass, Wait: Nike Air Foamposite Pro University Red, Air Jordan 9 Low, Porsche x adidas Ultra Boost

We’re still suffering from a Kobe hangover at the KoF Offices, so of course we’re going to to be talking about what’s next for Mamba and the swoosh in this week’s edition of Buy, Pass, Wait. But there is still some other non-Mamba news to talk about, including the release of a new Nike Air Foamposite Pro in a familiar color scheme, the Elite edition of LeBron and KD’s kicks, an all-white Ultra Boost that might be too pricey for most people and an Air Jordan retro that we’re pretty sure will hit clearance racks and outlet stores soon.

Nike Air Foamposite Pro University Red

Nike
Nike

Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (PASS) Take out the swoosh and I might consider it. I’ve always preferred the Foamposite One to the Pro when the colorways are similar except in very specific cases and this isn’t one of them.

Juan Carrillo, News: (PASS) I don’t think I will ever buy pair of Foams. I just can’t get behind the bulkiness and overall look of the shoe. With that being said, the University Red has to be one of the nicer tonal colorways I’ve seen in quite some time, but it still doesn’t take away that it’s being used on a model I don’t like.

Andres Carrillo, News: (PASS) I’ve never been a fan of the Foamposite silhouette no matter if it’s the One or the Pro. However this red and black colorway is one of the nicest I’ve seen in a while. The $230 price tag is just too much though. Plus I feel that it would be hard to wear Foams casually.

Renz Ofiaza, News: (BUY) I haven’t purchased this silhouette in a while and it’s one of my favorite basketball sneakers, especially in this colorway. This should garner enough attention for fanatics of the model.

Nike LeBron 13 Elite

Nike
Nike

EIC Juan: (WAIT) Out of Nike’s Big 3 (sorry, Kyrie), LeBron has been the most consistent when it comes to improving upon the looks of its regular season cousin. The 13 Elite looks to be another solid entry, but if history is any indicator of how these will perform at retail, I expect to see this sit for a while and receive gradual price drops.

News Juan: (PASS) Much better than the non-Elite version, but I still see some similarities stemming from the LeBron 13. Being that I can’t get behind LeBron’s 13th signature shoe, this one will also have to be a pass for me.

Andres: (WAIT) I actually like the LeBron 13 Elite better than the original. The Univeristy Red colorway that just released is my favorite out of the three. $200 is too much, but if they go on sale down the line I may consider buying a pair.

Renz: (WAIT) Between this and the Foamposite Pro, I’ll side with the Pro. Overall, I’m biased towards the colorway though. I like the cleaner makeup of the upper but I can’t agree to that price tag.

Nike KD 8 Elite

Nike
Nike

EIC Juan: (PASS) If they release a version of the KD 8 Elite without the sleeve, I’m inclined to at least give it a shot. Hopefully they perform on the court as well as Nike is hyping them out to be because there isn’t a whole lot of confidence for these. You know it’s bad when you trend on Twitter and the words “what are those?” are involved.

News Juan: (PASS) Two reasons why I won’t be picking these up:
1. Since this shoe is strictly for basketball, I can’t pick these up since my knees no longer allow me to play the game.
2. My legs are way too big to be messing around with a shoe like this.

Andres: (PASS) This new KD 8 Elite may be a beast on the court, but that high compression sock just kills the entire shoe in my opinion. I’ll just wait for the KD 9.

Renz: (PASS) The model is certainly built for playing bball. I like the application of a calf-length compression sock and the upper’s cleaner design. I’d try it on rather than purchasing.

Porsche Design x adidas Ultra Boost

a
a

EIC Juan: (PASS) I need to see them in person. Adding more layers to the Ultra Boost seems totally counter to the whole philosophy of the shoe and this looks to be case from just seeing the preview images. I’m sure they’ll feel great, but I’m not sure about what Porsche brought to the table.

News Juan: (BUY) Pretty solid looking collaboration for the Ultra Boost. I may not be very familiar with the work of Porsche Design, but I can already tell that they know what they’re doing when it comes to designing good looking shoes.

Andres: (PASS) $350???? That’s all I had to see to decide that these are a pass for me. Plus I don’t do all-white Primeknit.

Renz: (WAIT) I like the clean and simplistic design, especially in all-white. If the overlays had a smoother profile, I would’ve liked it even more. I’m just against that steep price tag, but I get it, it’s a collab.

Air Jordan 9 Low Black/White

Nike
Nike

EIC Juan: (WAIT) It’s a fine colorway for an Air Jordan that looks decent – but not great – as a low-cut. If these get a deep enough price cut I can myself copping a pair but it’s not high on my list of sneaker priorities.

News Juan: (PASS) For the most part, Jordans get a bad rap when done in low-top form. With that being said, I can tolerate the 9 in low top fashion, just not in this colorway. If a better colorway on the Jordan 9 Low arises sometime this year I may pick it up, I just can’t in this colorway.

Andres: (PASS) The Air Jordan 9 is a silhouette I’m not too fond of, and the Low doesn’t make things any better. The colorway on this particular pair is actually nice, but it still doesn’t make me want to buy a pair.

Renz: (WAIT) I’m usually not a fan of the model in this cut, but in this colorway, it’s pretty appealing and versatile. If it was priced a lot lower, I would consider purchasing.

Your Final Words On Kobe Bryant’s Signature Line

EIC Juan: I hope it continues in earnest and isn’t just some nostalgia act. It’s something Kobe has mentioned before, but even if he’s no longer an active player, it would be cool to see him being just as maniacal about making sure his stuff is the most technologically advanced basketball shoe out there. Eric Avar thought he could have a day off, but nope, Mamba stays being crazy. Retros of early Kobes like the Zoom Kobe 1 would be appreciated because my OGs are now a full size too small and short for me, but I’m looking forward to the Kobe 12, 13, 14 and beyond…

News Juan: My hatred for Kobe prohibited me from buying any of his signature shoes. Once I heard he was calling it quits, out of respect I quickly went and ID’d a pair of his Kobe 10s. Although at time his Nike signature line was overlooked in favor of LeBron and KD’s lines, I always thought they were clean looking shoes especially since I’m a big fan of the low-top look. Now that he’s gone from the NBA, I think more people are going to appreciate his shoes even more. Just take a look at how the FTB collection did. Like the saying goes, “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone”. Good bye Kobe. I hate you. I respect you. Thanks for the memories.

Andres: Since I really began getting into sneakers a few years ago, I didn’t really know about or appreciate any Kobe shoes say before the Kobe 8 came along. Now that I look at them there’s a few that I would add to my collection. I’ve never bought a Kobe sneaker but I plan to change that when I buy my first pair of Kobe 11s real soon. I also look forward to what Nike and Kobe have planned for the future.

Renz: I’m not really a big Mamba fan (I do appreciate and respect his greatness) but, I haven’t paid attention to Kobe’s signature line of sneakers until recently such as the 8th and onward with Nike. Overall, I really like the simplistic and cleaner build of the 11, but it does resemble its predecessors quite a bit when I look back at the previous designs. It’s funny because I admired his line with adidas even more, especially when The KOBE first came out. I just fell in love with its minimalism. I wonder how the line would’ve progressed after the TWO, if he hadn’t signed with Nike. But, with the Swoosh, my favorites consists of the 10 and 11.

This Dank Customs Nike Kobe 9 Black Mamba Custom Drops The Top

Who was lucky enough to pick up the Nike Kobe 9 Fade To Black, aka FTB, aka Black Mamba? If you managed to get your hands on a pair, I’m pretty sure your pair looks nothing like the Nike Kobe 9 custom you see above. Created by Dank Customs, the high-top sneaker gets transformed into a low-top.

Created exclusively for New England Patriots Wide Receiver, Brandon Gibson, Dank manages to convert the high-top into a low-top all while making it look easy. The rest of the shoe appears to remain true to form, but chopping the top off the shoe is more than enough change on this custom. Does it look better, or was it cool as is? Let us know in the comments below.

A couple of weeks ago we gave you a look at the official images of the White and Varsity Red colorway of the Nike Air More Uptempo. At the time there was no release date yet for the retro Nike Basketball shoe.

Fans of the silhouette will be happy to know that this instant classic white and red color option is now beginning to arrive at select retailers. With a White leather covering the majority of the upper, Varsity Red lands on the larger than life “AIR” branding on the side panels as well as on the outsole, heel and Nike branding.

Will you be picking up this Chicago Bulls colorway of Scottie Pippen’s Nike Air More Uptempo. Make sure you hit up your local Nike retailers for availability.

Author’s Take

Nike created an iconic sneaker when they made the Air More Uptempo. Whether you’re a fan of the shoe or not, the AIR branding gets everyone’s attention. I personally like this colorway better than the black and white pair that also recently released.

The Nike Hyperlive EYBL Released Today

NIKE HYPERLIVE 1 NIKE HYPERLIVE 2 NIKE HYPERLIVE 3

Joining the Nike Kyrie 2 EYBL that released today exclusively at House Of Hoops Fulton in Brooklyn, there is another Nike Basketball silhouette that also joined in on the EYBL fun.

No it’s not the LeBron 13, Kobe 11 or KD 8, it’s the Nike Hyerlive. This EYBL colorway of the Nike Hyperlive comes with a bright yellow upper and black accents on the branding, tongue, laces, and inner liner. A white outsole wraps up the look on this Hyperlive that is available now in Brooklyn just like the Kyrie 2.

Which EYBL sneaker do you like better, the Kyrie 2 or the Hyperlive? Let us know in the comments below.

via: Foot Locker

Author’s Take

Yellow and black is one of my favorite colorways on a shoe so this is probably my favorite colorway of the Hyperlive along with the red All Star Paul George version. Too bad they’re only available in New York which is on the other side of the country for me.

Nike SB Releases Dunk Lows Inspired By Cold Pizza
