Cream Uppers And A Gum Outsole On This Nike Air Huarache

The Nike Air Huarache is looking to have another huge year as the retro silhouette had a highly successful 2015.

With colorways like this there’s no doubt that it will be successful once again. This latest colorway of the Tinker Hatfield-designed silhouette features a tan/cream upper done in neoprene. The most unique feature on this pair is the textured pattern that can be seen on the overlays on the side panels and on the toe. Capping things off is a white midsole, gold detailing on the heel counter, and a gum outsole for a clean Summer look.

As is the case with the nicer colorways, this is women’s only release at the moment. Arriving at stateside retailers in the near future, what are your thoughts on this colorway of the Nike Air Huarache?

Author’s Take

Another cope colorway. The gold heel counter and the gum outsole provide the perfect pop to this Huarache. I don’t care that this is a women’s colorway, I may be picking up a pair for myself.

The Nike Air Max 90 Woven Has A Premium Look And A Premium Price

AIR MAX 90 1 AIR MAX 90 2 AIR MAX 90 3 AIR MAX 90 4 AIR MAX 90 5 AIR MAX 90 6

The newest features that has landed on the iconic Nike Air Max 90 silhouette is woven detailing.

Outfitted with a new premium look, this latest Air Max 90 comes dressed in a full black leather upper and intricate woven detailing that can be seen on the mudguard. The tongue and inner liner have also been done in leather to continue the premium theme on the shoe. The only hit of contrast comes courtesy of the white midsole unit. One piece of bad news for those of you that were maybe looking to cop is that these won’t come cheap. The retail price for this woven Air Max 90 has been set at $250. Yeah, that sounds pretty steep to me too.

Scheduled to release at select Nike retailers on April 29th, are these worth the price to you?

via: Nike

Author’s Take

I’m a fan of the new woven look, but that $250 price tag is just too high. I think $150 would have been a lot more reasonable. Unless I can get them for that price, these are an easy pass for me.

Check Out This Dope Nike Roshe Run Lunarlon Custom!

roshe custom

As I was wasting my precious time scrolling through the “Images I Might Like” section on Instagram, to my surprise, I actually came across something I did like.

I noticed a very unique looking Nike Roshe Run on the page of fellow user adamchang23. I clicked on the picture and quickly came to find out that this Roshe Run was actually a custom job created by the user himself. What made  metake notice of the Roshe Run? Well, he managed to give it a brand new look by giving it a sole swap. He removed the original sole of the Roshe and replaced it with a Lunarlon sole unit. Not only does the shoe look and feel fresh, but he also managed to step up the comfort of the shoe a couple of notches. It’s crazy to see what a simple sole swap can do to a shoe, right? Make sure you hit up his page to see what other creations he has in store for us. Would you cop? Let us know in the comments below

Nike Greece Releases New Ad Featuring The Greek Freak Giannis Antetokounmpo

The ever-changing NBA hit a new tier of athletic ridiculousness when Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd decided to start 21-year-old 7-footer (and still growing) Giannis Antetokounmpo at point guard for the last third of the regular season. The crazy thing: it worked. Giannis is simply known as the Greek Freak in NBA circles and is poised to become a triple-double machine for years to come. Nike Basketball has already started promoting one of their brightest young stars in the latest Nike Greece ad campaign. Giannis laces up the Nike Kobe 11 and shows off his explosive first step in the video (it only takes him around 1 dribble at half-court to finish at the rim). Check out the full spot below and stay tuned for more Nike Basketball updates right here on Sneaker News.

Nike Kobe 11 1 Nike Kobe 11 Nike Kobe 11 2

Yesterday, Cincinnati Reds All-Star first baseman, Joey Votto, was seen wearing an exclusive variation of the Nike Kobe 11 during batting practice in Citi Field in preparation against the New York Mets.

The sneaker isn’t enhanced with cleats to perfectly suit the game, although, the silhouette is coordinated with the Reds’ signature colors perfectly. Red and black is predominant across its engineered mesh upper, tongue, inner lining and sole unit, while shimmering gold accents are implemented on the Swoosh, tongue label and heel to finish off the theme.

Would you consider purchasing this colorway?

Following the release of the Brave Blue aka Eric Avar colorway, the second variation of three, from the Nike Kobe 11 Muse Pack is now highlighted, this time featuring heralded designer, Tinker Hatfield.

Certain elements of Bryant’s favorite sneaker — the Air Jordan 3 — are reinterpreted in this second variation, such as its overall color blocking, perforations in the lower tongue and bold red embroidery situated on the heel and tongue. Furthermore, for a unique touch, a sharkskin-inspired heel counter is applied as a tribute to Bryant?s fearlessness and appreciation for the creature.

Look for this latest pair at select Nike accounts worldwide starting Thursday, May 5th. Stay tuned in for the remaining shoe designed by Mark Parker.

Tinker Hatfields Nike Kobe 11 Design Inspired By Kobes Favorite Air Jordan Shoe

The second leg of the Nike Kobe 11 “Muse” Pack continues with this sublime design by Tinker Hatfield, who clearly channels the spirit of Michael Jordan and the Air Jordan 3. Kobe Bryant calls the Air Jordan 3 his favorite Air Jordan shoe of all-time, so it’s a fitting application of AJ3 on the Kobe 11, which makes use of signature details like the grey leather tongue and the Nike logo on the heel. Kobe, who has been a fan of Air Jordans since childhood, notes Tinker’s simplicity and ability to listen to the athlete as the keys to his design achievements. Furthermore, Kobe compares himself to Michael Jordan in that their drives for success were different despite achieving the same outcomes.

The Nike Kobe 11 “Tinker Hatfield” releases next Thursday, May 5th, at select Nike Basketball retailers around the globe. Get a look at the official images as well as an insightful video with Tinker below.

The latest edition of the Nike Air Max 1 this year will pay tribute to its origins.

Flaunting a classic colorway overall, white consists as its dominant tone across its leather overlays and sole unit, while beige and grey accents are evidenced on the mesh/suede toe box, collar, inner lining and tongue.

Additionally, touches of black evident with the Swooshes, tongue branding and the defining theme on the heels pronounce the design even more. 1987 is the year the silhouette was originally released.
