The Nike Hyperdunk Triple Black Is Now Available

Originally released in 2008 as part of Nike Basketball’s Beijing Olympics Innovation program, the Nike Hyperdunk began a major technological shift at Nike by introducing Flywire and Lunarlon cushioning. Eight years later, the Nike Hyperdunk 08 is releasing just in time for this year’s Olympics in Rio.

It’s hard to believe that the Nike Hyperdunk series has been a featured basketball model for the Swoosh for over eight years now. The original Nike Hyperdunk first released in 2008 as the featured model in Nike Basketball’s Beijing Olympics Innovation program and first introduced the world to Flywire and Lunarlon cushioning – both staples of Nike’s design even today. Now with the Rio Olympics on the horizon, Nike is releasing retros of the original Hyperdunk 2008 in a number of monochromatic shades including this “Triple Black” look. If you’re a fan of the model, know that you can grab this pair today from select retailers like Villa. Check out a detailed look after the break and be sure to check out the fresh Nike Hyperdunk Lux slated for a release later this summer.

Almost going all the way to the trendy “Triple Black” treatment, the predominantly black shoe that even features the Air Max unit in the heel blacked out does receive a little contrast with the metallic silver toe Swooshes and LeBron logos on each shoe. The almost triple black LeBrons are arriving at select Nike Basketball retailers now.

Kyrie Irving Has Monster Game 5 Performance In Nike Kyrie 2 Gradient

We’ve got a series. This NBA Finals has been a strange one, with every game decided by double digits. And while it hasn’t always been the most entertaining series, we finally got a wire-to-wire piece of entertainment in Game 5. A lot of that had to do with the resurgence of Kyrie Irving. Kyrie dropped 41 points while missing only 7 shot attempts the entire game. If you haven’t seen the highlights yet, do yourself a favor and head over to Youtube after checking out some on-feet looks at what no.2 was wearing during his historic performance. Kyrie chose to lace up the Kyrie 2 “Gradient” to match the Cavs interesting selection of those black sleeved alternate jerseys. He’s still writing ‘Whiplash’ on the midsole inspired by the determination found in the Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons Oscar-nominated film. Who do you think takes Game 6 in Cleveland? Check out more photos below and stay tuned for more NBA Feet updates right here on Sneaker News.

Look For The Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak To Release Soon

Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak 1 Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak 3 Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak 2

Are you a fan of the Nike Flyknit Racer? If you answered yes then we’re going to assume that you’ve worn a pair before. The upper of the Flyknit Racer is one of the best out there when it comes to a Flyknit sneaker, but with a name like Racer you’d expect the sole to be ideal to use for running.

Unfortunately that’s not exactly the case. While the shoe is comfortable, it’s just not comfortable for everyone to run in. Enter the Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak. The upper on this new Flyknit runner looks somewhat similar to the Flyknit Racer, but features a new Zoom sole which makes it ideal for use running and working out.

Check out two upcoming colorways of the Nike Zoom Flyknit Streak and stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for a release date.

Author’s Take

Both the upper and sole of the Flyknit Racer are what made the shoe look so cool and sleek in my opinion. It’s always cool to see new Flyknit sneakers, but I can’t say I’m a huge fan of this one.
