New colorways of the Nike Free Inneva Woven are featured this Spring 2016, as the sneaker is defined by its textile upper that interconnects seamlessly with the laces to create a flexbile glove-like fit.

Showcased in two colorways — black and fountain blue — the low-top sneakers provides superior support to the arch of the foot, while the 360-degree upper hugs the forefoot to enable natural, dynamic movement. Other notable details include subtle branding on the tongue label and heel tab with a miniature version of the iconic Swoosh.

Further detailed with matching rope-style laces to perfectly coordinate with its intricate outdoor-like aesthetic, the models are offset against a clean white rubber outsole that offers enhanced durability and waffle flex grooves for superior traction. Additionally, a suede heel is utilized to provide premium flair.

You can find it at select Nike accounts overseas now, while a stateside release is imminent.

I haven’t bought a pair but I’ve always liked the look. These offerings are nice but I’ll be more interested if a tan-colored version was offered.

Nike SB Dunk Low Mudslide

Things get a bit muddy for the inspiration of this upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low colorway. We can’t be sure because there’s been no official announcement of what this colorway references, but our best guess right now is that they’re actually inspired by the mudslide beverage, a cocktail made with Vodka, Bailey’s, and Kahlua. The creamy alcoholic drink is also often topped off with a mint leaf, which also gives reason for the green accents. Whatever the inspiration actually is, they’re definitely looking pretty good, and will be arriving at Nike SB retailers soon (or available no on eBay).

To pay tribute to its minimalist profile and still modern design, two dateless colorways are offered, consisting of all-white and all-black. Composed of breathable nylon across the majority of its upper, the white pair features leather reinforcements while the black consists of suede along the eye stays, toe cap and heel counter.

Additionally, the rear showcases an embroidery of the year “1972” which essentially refers to the birth of the runner.

Author’s Take

I’m pretty biased towards runners and this silhouette is one of example. The tonal offerings are perfect choices for fans and the homage to its year of birth is a cool touch.

Nike Kyrie 2 Nike Kyrie 2 1 Nike Kyrie 2 2 Nike Kyrie 2 3 Nike Kyrie 2 4 Nike Kyrie 2 5 Nike Kyrie 2 6 Nike Kyrie 2 7 Nike Kyrie 2 8

This latest rendition of the Nike Kyrie 2 is in reference to Kyrie Irving’s favorite type of cake — red velvet.

As its official moniker implies, the sneaker is essentially covered with the eye-catching tone. Additional flair is provided by the application of suede for its distinctive strap to symbolize the soft texture of the cake.

Additionally, sprinkles of pink are implemented on the midsole to further coordinate with its respective theme as well as complementing the overall palette.

The model is currently available at Nike retailers now for $120.

Author’s Take

I?m biased towards this colorway. I like the change on the mid-foot strap. Overall this should get a lot of attention, especially if you’re not a fan of the silhouette.

Vintage Nike Collectors

There is no brand of sneakers collected more than Nike. With a rich and well documented history, influence from their long roster of superstar athletes throughout the years, and the best marketing of any athletic brand ever, love for Nike has been instilled into multiple generations of sneaker enthusiasts, creating passionate and dedicated collectors across the globe. Since Nike has a far reaching assortment of models for various sports and styles with everything from mainstream genres like basketball and running to more obscure sub-brands like Nike ACG, collectors can get as general or specific as they want. Of course, the majority opt to stick with
the most well-known categories like Air Jordans, LeBrons, and Air Maxes?and there?s nothing wrong with that?but the more obsessive Nike collectors always dig a little deeper.

One of these more specific groups is who we?re here to get acquainted with today: vintage collectors. While most Nike collectors tend to focus on the years since Michael Jordan came around in 1985 and the Air Jordan and visible Air took over, vintage collectors are more interested in the brand?s earliest days when running was king and The Swoosh was still in its infant stage.

Everybody has their own idea of what qualifies as ?vintage? when it comes to sneakers. Some people will qualify sneakers released in the early 2000? s as vintage at this point, and most have no problem putting a shoe from the ’90s under the category, but for our purposes in this article, we?re going to focus on collectors who specialize in the pre-Air Jordan era. Using 1985 as a cut-off point to mark the ?first era” of Nike from 1972-1984, we had four of the USA?s biggest vintage collectors share their passion for the sneakers they collect.
