Introducing The Brand New Nike Taupo Premium Sandal

A new Nike Sandal is set to release in the not-so-distant future. Opting to take the premium route, today we get our first look at what is being called the Nike Taupo.

Part of Nike Spring/Summer collection, the Taupo will come in either a tonal White or Black motif. Simple in design, the sandal comes with three patent leather straps to give it its distinct look and feel. In addition to the straps, it also come with a plush footbed and slim rubber outsol for a minimalist aesthetic. From my view, the only branding I’m able to spot is the NIKE hit placed on the lateral side of the footbed. Said to be releasing at select retailers beginning May 26th, let us know what you think about this new Nike sandal.

Author’ Take

Its cool seeing a Nike sandal without huge Nike branding on it. I’m a fan of the look, but I’ll reserve my judgement until I find out what the price is.

A New Nike KD Model Is On The Way

KD 1 KD 2 KD 3 KD 4

The Nike KD 9 isn’t the only KD model set to make its debut in the neat future. What you see above is yet another KD sneaker that has not properly introduced. If I had to make a guess, I’d say it’s the next installment of the Nike KD Trey 5 series, the Nike KD Trey 5 IV.

Considered the be the KD “team shoe”, this new version comes with a mesh upper sitting on top of a thick midsole. Nike branding appears on the forefoote, while a heel counter gives the shoe some depth. Nothing official yet, but expect Nike to make an announcement in the near future.

Nike SB Serves Up Another Pizza-Themed Sneaker Release

The food-themed Nike SB launches continue as we get a first look at a Nike SB Janoski release with a delicious pepperoni pizza print all around the upper. Much like the pizza-inspired Dunks, which made use of a silver upper to mimic aluminum foil, these Janoskis capture the essence of this grab-and-go comfort food with a marinara red inner lining and a tongue label with Italian colors. These are being served up hot and fresh at shops like LUST in Mexico City and should be ready for consumption at Nike SB retailers worldwide very soon.

The shoe’s upper consists of a Wolf Grey neoprene paired up with hits of White leather placed on the overlays. Additional White can be seen on the toe, laces and midsole. Providing more contrast is the Black placed on the heel cage. Comfort and style for the Spring/Summer, these are the shoes for you and they’re available now for $110.

Author’ Take

I like the colorway, but I already have the all-white pair, buying these really wouldn’t make a lot of sense to me. With that being said, it’s still a clean (predominantly) white sneaker.

This Latest Nike SB Janoski Built Like Marble Sculptures

The Nike SB Stefan Janoski is back with an homage to marble sculptures with this clean Elite edition. James Arizumi’s instant-classic design has yet to see a true sequel, but Nike Skateboarding has refined the silhouette with the likes of visible Air, Lunarlon, and Free technologies all while remixing the upper from classic canvas, engineered mesh, and premium leather in the past. Here a cracked white and black leather upper gives off a marble aesthetic while clean white piping and Swoosh stitching create a simple, refined look perfect for casual style. Pricing aside, I like this new look for the Air Max 1. The leather detailing is a nice touch. But there’s no way I’m paying $250 for these.

Another Look At The Black/White Nike KD 9

NIKE KD 9 1 NIKE KD 9 2 NIKE KD 9 3 NIKE KD 9 4

When the Nike KD 9 was first unveiled back in March we all thought that we wouldn’t see Kevin Durant actually wear them until the upcoming 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. But yesterday he surprised us all and wore them in game 3 of the Western Conference Finals where he scored 34 points and the Thunder blew out the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

The color that he wore featured a Cool Grey Flyknit upper with Metallic Silver and pink accents. Today we take a look at some new images of another colorway that we can expect to be able to get our hands on later this year. This KD 9 features a black and white Flyknit upper with additional white accents landing on the Nike and KD branding. Black can then be seen on the midsole, laces, inner liner and outsole to complete the simple two-tone look.

This black and white Nike KD 9 is expected to release on June 18th for a retail price of $150. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more images and release information. Will you cop?

Author’s Take

Nice and simple colorway that I can definitely see myself wearing. However since I’ve never bought a pair of KDs before I would want something with a little more color.

Ready For Battle!

That’s what Nike has dubbed this all-black colorway of the Nike LeBron 13 Elite. The inspiration for the name comes from the combination of black and silver, which is meant to resemble a suit of armor. Additional details on this third and final colorway of the Nike LeBron 13 Elite include a speckled midsole, leather toecap, red inner liner, and icy blue translucent outsole.

Releasing at select Nike retailers on May 26th for $200, who plans on picking up this blacked out colorway of the LeBron 13 made for the playoffs?

via: Nike

Author’s Take

From the three colorways that released this is my least favorite because of how bland it is. There should have been more silver hits on the shoe to make it pop more.
