I’m a fan of the KD 9 because of the new Flyknit upper, but this colorway isn’t cop-worthy. I’ll just wait and maybe cop a pair down the line.

Author’s Take

Any time I see a black and yellow sneaker it immediately captures my attention. I?m not a fan of the Foamposite silhouette but I have to admit that this is a clean colorway. There?s no way I would spend $230 on this shoe though.

Another Look At The Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 For 4th Of July

LeBron James wore the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 throughout most of the NBA Finals including the nail biting game 7 that took place last night. With a Nike LeBron Championship Pack most likely on the way, we can’t help but think that the Zoom Soldier 10 will be included in this year’s pack.

While we wait on that, today we get a closer look at the USA/Olympic colorway of the Zoom Soldier 10 that LeBron may or may not wear during the 2016 Summer Olympics. This LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 features a blue mesh upper with red detailing on the two bottoms strap, and the Nike and LeBron branding. Finishing up the patriotic look is white on the upper strap, Swoosh and outsole.

No release date has been announced yet but stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Author’s Take

The more I see the Zoom Soldier 10 the more I like it, which is odd because I?m usually not the type who like sneakers without laces and this many straps. This USA colorway is pretty clean. I think it should have had more red though.

Summer Is Here And So Is This All-White Nike SB Dunk High

NIKE SB DUNK 1 NIKE SB DUNK 2 NIKE SB DUNK 3

Today is officially the first day of Summer and boy is it a hot one. Well at least here where I live in Southern California. As I’m typing this the weather is currently at 108 degrees. Damn.

With the Summer comes the all-white kicks. Nike SB is wasting no time in showing us what they have planned for Summer 2016 as we get a first look at the latest Nike SB Dunk High that features an all-white leather upper with a mesh tongue, white midsole, and an icy blue outsole.

You can look for this pristine Dunk High at select Nike SB retailers now for a retail price of $100.

via: Unheardof

Author’s Take

I used to be a bigger fan of the Nike SB Dunk High a couple of years back, but now I haven’t been a fan of any of the colorways that have released lately. This all-white pair just isn’t for me.

Nike Shows Unreleased Colorways In KD Shoe Legacy Display

As part of the Nike KD 9 launch event in Austin, TX, Nike set up this quick overview of the KD signature shoe legacy by showcasing each and every installment from the saga. Aside from the KD 1, shown in the “Texas” colorway, and the KD 9, shown in the upcoming “Mic Drop” edition, each and every shoe is an unreleased sample/PE/promo pair that has never hit stores. The most notable is, of course, the “What The” KD 4, which combined the trendy mash-up style with arguably the most popular KD signature shoe ever made. Also included is the KD 7 “Aunt Pearl” in a matte black, a silver/blue/yellow KD 2, and more. Check out the full overview of this display ahead.

Kevin Durant Talks New Shoes, Free Agency, The Playoffs, And More At Nike KD 9 Launch

Roughly a decade ago, Kevin Durant was fresh out of college as the number two overall selection in the 2007 NBA draft. Coming off an incredible season with UT, Durant was poised for stardom from the get-go and humble kid from Seat Pleasant, MD now found his basketball career take him from the heart of big country to the Pacific Northwest. From there, he moved on to Oklahoma City, a blue-collar city with a sense of community as strong as the thunderous climates. Every where he went, KD put the city on the map, and for the launch of the KD 9, he returned to where he established Longhorns basketball to present his all-new Nike sneaker at a special event in Austin, TX.

Nike Made A Sweet Championship Shirt For LeBron James

Last night LeBron James and the Cavs did what has never done before and rallied to win it all after being down 3-1 in the Finals. No team has ever won a Finals series after being down 3 games to 1 but The King and Kyrie Irving had what it took to get it done.

While we wait for Nike to announce/unveil some kind of Championship Pack hopefully for both LeBron AND Kyrie, Nike already previewed a special t-shirt that celebrates LeBron’s first championship for his hometown. Nike is wasting to time celebrating as they will soon be releasing a “LeBron Champion” t-shirt that features LeBron’s arm cradling a a giant championship ring. The shirt is not available just yet but nike.com has it labeled as “coming soon” so they may be releasing at a surprise date and time.

Do you plan on picking one up when it releases? Congratulations to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Nike LeBron 13 Low Triple Black

Remember last week when we previewed an almost “Triple Black” Nike Lebron 13 Low with silver accents? Well it looks like those must have been an early sample, because the colorway actually releasing is indeed a nothing-but-black edition of the low-top signature sneaker. The first release of the LeBron 13 Low post his Cleveland championship goes triple black for the murdered-out colorway, featuring even the Air Max unit in the heel with a black window. One other nice detail is the subtle metallic silver glitter in the outsole. The all black LeBron 13 Low is arriving now overseas, so expect them at select Nike Basketball retailers here in the US shortly.

How Nike Took Back The Basketball Spotlight In The NBA Finals

LeBron James has always been a polarizing figure in American sports. From the moment Sports Illustrated picked him to grace their cover during LeBron’s junior year of High School, it seemed that the self-proclaimed Chosen One was preordained for greatness. But that hype also came with its fair share of hate and a career measured by if the kid could measure up to being The King.

Kyrie Irving’s insane skill-set includes unprecedented ball-handling wizardry and the ability to finish at the rim with insanely acrobatic precision in a way nobody has before. But being labeled a ‘point guard’ with an iso-heavy, score-first mentality often comes with a number of detractors, especially when the player opposing him during this year’s NBA Finals was marketed as being better in both categories and stood as the reigning two-time NBA MVP in Steph Curry.

Let’s get this straight: the Cleveland Cavaliers weren’t supposed to win this series. Down 3-1 against a team that holds the greatest regular season record of all-time at 73-9 and a homecourt advantage that sports the loudest crowd in the NBA, it’s still difficult to process how exactly the Cavs came back to claim their first NBA championship. LeBron can no longer be denied, and his career arc has reached a pinnacle by bringing Cleveland its first championship in 52 years. That’s not all that happened in this series either. With that win, Nike Basketball has rightfully stolen back the spotlight during the NBA Finals.
