I like the KD 9 more than the KD 8. Not sure if I’d pick up a pair, but I’ll consider it if the right color comes along.

Another Look At The Nike SB Dunk High Picnic

We’re currently in picnic weather. The sun is out, the breeze is cool, the grass is green. There’s no better time to go outside and enjoy a nice meal under the sun. With that being said, Nike SB recently dropped a Dunk High that’s also in a picnic mood. Dubbed the Nike SB Dunk High Picnic, let’s get a closer look at the shoe.

Rightfully so, the shoe is draped in a fabric upper done in a picnic table checkerboard pattern. Joining the Red and White pattern on the upper is the distressed Nike Swoosh that’s mean to mimic the look of a torn napkin. Last but not least, the shoe’s best feature is without a doubt the trail of ants pictured all around the shoe. Like what you see? Pick up a pair today for $100.

Author’s Take

It’s a very fun and creative looking shoe. It reminds me of older SB drops when they were the talk of the town. Pretty cool sneaker to rock during the Summer.

I didn’t own these back in ’96, 20 years later, I probably won’t own them either. Easy pass on my end.

The Nike Air Rift Breathe is a lighter and more breathable version of the Nike Air Rift. For the model’s newest colorway, Nike decided to release the shoe in an all-Black aesthetic.

The shoe comes with an upper composed of a mesh upper accompanied by the heel and forefoot velcro straps. The upper’s composition is paired up with the flexible outsole that also comes in the same colorway. Notable features on the shoe include the decoupled toe and thy phylon midsole equipped with the air-sole unit to provide more than enough comfort. Author’s Take

The Nike Air Rift Breathe or regular version isn’t really a shoe that I tend to go for. It’s a bit too odd looking for my taste. I don’t think I can pull it off.

One week from today we’ll be seeing the next colorway of the Nike Air Foamposite One arrive at retailers.

Said to be inspired by legendary hip hop group Wu-Tang, Nike has yet to confirm anything so at this point there’s no direct connection between the two. This Air Foamposite will probably be one of the loudest and brightest releases of 2016 as Optic Yellow dominates the entire shell upper along with the branding on the heel, tongue, and toe. Providing the perfect contrast is Black as it covers the tongue, laces, eyestay, ankle, inner liner, heel and the outsole.

Is this a must-have colorway for fans of the Foamposite? Let us know in the comments below and look for it to drop at select Nike stockists on June 24, 2016 for a retail price of $230. Make sure to click and bookmark our official Nike Air Foamposite One Wu-Tang launch page now for additional images, videos and release details.

Author’s Take

Any time I see a black and yellow sneaker it immediately captures my attention. I’m not a fan of the Foamposite silhouette but I have to admit that this is a clean colorway. There’s no way I would spend $230 on this shoe though.

Another New Flyknit Nike Sneaker Gets The Triple White Treatment

Nike Zoom Mercurial Flyknit Spiridon 1 Nike Zoom Mercurial Flyknit Spiridon 3 Nike Zoom Mercurial Flyknit Spiridon 2

Nike has had a kick with Flyknit this Spring as they’ve already introduced a few new runners/trainer that take full advantage of the lightweight and breathable material.

One of those new silhouettes that is beginning to arrive at retailers is the Nike Zoom Mercurial Flyknit. Inspired by a soccer boot with a similar name, the Zoom Mercurial Flyknit features a Flyknit upper and a 3/4 collar that we’ve been seeing on a few new releases. Leather detailing hits the heel and the tooling from the original Zoom Spiridon holds things down below.

This Triple White colorway is already arriving at select retailers so if you want a pair don’t sleep. Retail price is $200.

Author’s Take

I think there’s already enough Flyknit sneakers with the 3/4 collar look. I’m personally not a huge fan of the look but I understand why people would be. It’s a unique look and probably pretty comfortable.

Kobe Bryant Is Set To Return To The Philippines With Nike

Two months ago Nike held what was known as Mamba Day where we saw Kobe Bryant play in his final NBA game ever. The Black Mamba went out in legendary fashion as he scored 60 points and pulled out the W for his beloved Lakers.

Bryant may have walked away from the NBA for good, but his love for basketball and his signature sneakers with Nike will continue. Kobe is scheduled to go on tour to the Philippines with Nike for the Mamba Mentality Tour which is set for June 25 and 26. The Mamba Mentality Tours aims to challenge and inspire the mindset of Pinoy ballers to be relentless, resilient and fearless in the sport of basketball and life. This will be achieved through Kobe Academy on June 26, where selected ballers, who have shown that they have the skills and Mamba Mentality mindset, will train with the Black Mamba himself.

The Philippines will also celebrate Kobe’s 20 year career with Mamba Mentality Night that will take place at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Fans from the Philippines can sign up here.
