Detailed Images Of The Upcoming Nike Kyrie 2 Triple Black
By SoleInsider
Although it was scheduled to drop this weekend, the Nike Kyrie 2 Triple Black will be arriving next week instead, as more images of the stealthy basketball sneaker are
While some Nike stockists nationwide may release the model tomorrow, the Swoosh’s official online shop won’t list the pair for sale until next Saturday, July 9th. Overall, the sneaker is essentially draped in all-black. Composed of a Hyperfuse constructed upper, the model is detailed with a tonal suede mid-foot strap and mesh tongue as it rests atop a full-length rubber sole unit.
It was about time this colorway was applied on the silhouette. It obviously looks sleek and solid. I?m a fan and this should garner the attention it deserves.
The Nike Hyperdunk Lux in black is set to make its arrival in a few days as the revamped basketball sneaker is showcased in another perspective.
Staying true to its iconic design, this particular iteration flaunts more lifestyle appeal with a woven upper instead of its traditional Hyperfuse construction. Further detailed with premium flair, soft leather is implemented on the mudguard while patent leather overlays adorn the toe, eyestay and collar.
All juxtaposed against a crisp, white full-length rubber sole unit, the sneaker’s aesthetic is further defined by a flywire system that offers sufficient lockdown, in addition to more distinctive branding across its tongue and heels.
You can find this pair at select Nike retailers starting July 4th.
Aside from the standout USA and Unlimited variations, the newly-introduced Nike Hyperdunk 2016 will be offered in a more traditional finish this season as well.
Doused in a classic black hue, the understated tone simply covers the sneaker’s upper and distinctive extended collar, while it also flows throughout the sneaker’s full-length sole unit. Exuding a sleek look overall, the only noticeable contrasting elements are found on the insoles in volt, in addition to hits of white located across the tongue and Swoosh logo on its heel.
Expect to find this pair at select Nike retailers nationwide very soon. Stay tuned for updates.
To offset the vibrant colorways such as photo blue, volt and solar red, the classic Nike Hyperdunk 2008 is rendered in the versatile triple black finish this season as well.
Essentially dipped in the stealthy hue across its entire upper, sole unit and inner lining, the Swooshes on its side panels and midsole are treated with a glossy finish, while the only noticeable contrasting detail is seen on the insoles in white.
Retailing for a price tag of $150, you can purchase the sneaker at select Nike accounts nationwide now, although a wider released is expected soon.
I like bball shoes in general, but I?m not that much of a fan of this design. I do adore it in tonal colorways and this should receive some attention once again, especially those who admire it a lot.
The first official colorway of the Nike KD 9 has just arrived at retailers. While the Pre-Heat pair did release last week, it wasn’t as wide of a release as this pair and Nike wasn’t pushing it as much.
This patriotic colorway of the KD 9 features a full Flyknit upper done in White with bold red and blue accents gracing the shoe to complete the USA look. Kevin Durant is expected to wear this colorway (and maybe others) throughout the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio so make sure to be on the lookout. You can purchase your pair now directly from Nike and other retailers for $150.
Eccentric Detailing On The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Premium
By SoleInsider
The Nike SB Zoom Stefan Janoski Premium receives a bold makeover this summer, as the low-top silhouette is punctuated with a vibrant graphic design.
Comprised of durable canvas, the sneaker’s upper bears the thematic element which a mixture of text and prints in bright shades of yellow, red, orange, pink, blue and more. Complemented with white accents located on the Swoosh and full-length rubber sole unit, the sneaker is rounded out with black laces.
You can find this eccentric variation of the skateboarding silhouette at select Nike retailers overseas now, while a stateside release is imminent.
Nike Uses Inappropriate Euphemism, Sparks Response On Instagram
By SoleInsider
Nike’s bold ads from the turn of the 80s were never this risqué, were they? The Nike Sportswear Instagram just posted a photo pushing the latest colorway of the Sock Darts with a slogan that reads “Rock Out With Your Sock Out”, a clear branch-off of “Rock out with you c*&k out”- a favorite of collar-popped douche-bros everywhere. What’s more, the Nike Sportswear Instagram account is responding to comments with even more inappropriate behavior with remarks such as “Show us your…line” as a challenge to those who aren’t quite approving of the message. Even the NikeLab Instagram account is joining the fray. Again, we’re used to Nike taking the bold route with advertising and the conversation is certainly stirring, but this irreverence is certainly not justified.
More detailed images of the forthcoming Nike Kyrie 2 USA is provided, as the silhouette essentially pays tribute to our nation and Team USA basketball, as it aims to claim another gold medal at the Summer Olympics in Rio later this August.
Simply sporting our nation?s signature colors — red, white and blue — the patriotic pair flaunts the pristine hue as its dominant tone, while hits of blue are applied on the mid-foot strap and inner lining, followed by pops of red on the tongue and Swooshes along its heel unit.
Retailing for $120, select Nike accounts overseas will acquire the pair first on July 2nd, while a North America release is set for July 18th.
I?m generally a fan of the silhouette and the theme is a nice homage. This colorway is pretty nice overall. I like how white is the most dominant hue to give it a really clean look.

The Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Unlimited Celebrates The Summer Olympics
By SoleInsider
Following an initial look yesterday, official images of the upcoming Nike Hyperdunk 2016 Unlimited are now provided, as the model is noted to celebrate the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Comprised of black flyknit across its upper and distinctive extended sock component, the understated tone is juxtaposed against the defining theme, which consists of a gradient midsole which fades from yellow to orange and pink. A colorway that was inspired by the animals found in Brazil?s tropical rainforests, the model is topped off with a translucent outsole.
Stay tuned to KicksOnFire for an official release date.
I?m not a fan of the extended sock much, but this colorway on the silhouette is pretty appealing. If I was playing bball often, I would consider purchasing this silhouette though.

Get Ready For The Nike Air More Uptempo Olympic Again
By SoleInsider
The classic Nike Air More Uptempo Olympic will be making a return once again this year, as the silhouette celebrates its 20th anniversary and the 2016 Summer Games in Rio.
Originally seen on Scottie Pippen during the 1996 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain with the historic “Dream Team,” the iconic basketball sneaker essentially stays true to its OG counterpart. Midnight navy and white consists as its overall palette, while subtle contrasting hits of red adorn the tongue to round out the USA theme.
Priced at $160, you can find this standout 2016 variation at select Nike retailers on July 20th.
I?ve always liked this model ever since I saw Scottie rock the pair. I?m a fan of that enlarged branding, plus the design is just appealing in my view. It?s nice to see that this colorway will be offered again.
Buy, Pass, Wait: Air Jordan 12 Alternate, Nike KD 9 Premiere, Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Classic Leather
By SoleInsider
The week’s Buy, Pass, Wait will be getting you ready for long Fourth Of July weekend with a look at some of the biggest sneaker releases of the weekend. Looking for something to wear for your summer barbecues? Maybe those patriotic Nike KD 9 Premieres and Nike Kobe 11 USAs are up your alley. Then again, you might see this weekend as a time when people can come together so maybe Kendrick’s latest collab with Reebok might be the perfect fit. And of course, who can forget the obligatory Air Jordan retro release? We can’t, but that’s mostly because of pageviews. Have a safe and fun weekend, everybody.
Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (WAIT) Much like last week’s Air Jordan 12 Grey/University Blue release, this pair would be a must-have if it dropped any other year, but with so many 12s and other notable Jordan retros dropping as well, it’s not high on the priority list. Hopefully this Air Jordan 12 Alternate sits for a few weeks and maybe when it’ll catch me on a good day. But I’m not losing sleep over not copping these, or 99% of other kicks for that matter…
Renz Ofiaza, News: (BUY) I’m a big fan of the silhouette and I’m just biased towards the colorway. I think it looks a bit better than the Cherry.
Juan Carrillo, News: (WAIT) I like this colorway on the 12. It’s not the best, but definitely not the worst. I’m going to take a chance and pass on these in hopes of them going on sale in the near future. I like them but I don’t need them.
Andres Carrillo, News: (WAIT) I’ve already picked up the French Blue and Flu Game colorways and I’m still trying to convince myself that I shouldn’t buy this colorway. I would much rather have the Cherry colorway but this is not a bad alternative, not bad at all. I’ll probably make a decision last minute.
Nike KD 9 Premiere
Nike
EIC Juan: (BUY) Kevin Durant claims that this is a $150 shoe that should be worth more at retail because of the technology and value packed in. He sounds like an infomercial when he says that, but if the KD 9 does live up to the promise, then this might just be the “steal” that he claims it will be. The Premiere colorway is so good I’m seriously considering breaking my “don’t buy white Flyknit/Primeknit because it gets dirty fast” rule.
Renz: (PASS) I like this model a bit more than its predecessor. This colorway is pretty clean and just appealing. I’m biased towards the shades but I’m not too tempted into purchasing.
News Juan: (PASS) There’s a good chance that I’ll be picking up a KD 9 somewhere down the line, it just won’t be this colorway. It’s cool and all, but I’m not crazy about the colorway.
Andres: (PASS) It’s exciting to see Flyknit land on the KD 9, but I don’t think I would ever buy a white Flyknit sneaker. This is a clean colorway but not for me. I look forward to future colorways of the KD 9.
Nike Kobe 11 USA
Nike
EIC Juan: (BUY) Well, I guess that’s two white Flyknit sneakers I might have pony up some serious cash for….
Renz: (WAIT) I’m always a fan of the USA/Olympics-inspired theme and it’s well done on this model. I like how white is the dominant tone for a cleaner look and the vibrant shades are mostly kept on the rear.
News Juan: (PASS) Too much White for comfort. It looks clean, but for how long. Maybe had he played in the Olympics and played in them I’d cop for nostalgic reasons, but since he didn’t, these are a pass.
Andres: (PASS) Same as the KD 9. I ike the Kobe 11 but not in a white Flyknit upper. Way too dirty.
Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Classic Leather
Sneaker Politics
EIC Juan: (BUY) As somebody who has been seeded the Reebok Classic Leather in mostly the same style and colorway (white and gum) a number of times through the years, it’s nice to see the shoe in a different light. Kendrick’s collabs with Reebok might not have the hype of Kanye or Drake, but sneakerheads that are looking for something off the beaten path and are into what King Kendrick has to say won’t be disappointed.
Renz: (WAIT) I’m biased towards runners and this silhouette is pretty appealing. Aside from the gang related theme, I just like the overall colorway and makeup.
News Juan: (PASS) Dope theme, nice execution, but I’ma keep it real with you, I’m not big on this Reebok model.
Andres: (PASS) I like the theme behind this shoe, but people will get tired of this colorway real soon. Kendrick and Reebok need to switch things up on their next collab.
adidas Tubular Nova Slam Jam
Sneaker Politics
EIC Juan: (PASS) The Tubular craze continues with this latest collab that does absolutely nothing for me. If anything the “Slam Jam” across the heel actually detracts from the look of the shoe and reeks of Supreme-style laziness. Love the premium feel, hate the branding.
Renz: (PASS) I’m a fan of the sneaker and the clean colorway but I’m not into the fray detailing on its construction. That detail just ruins it for me.
News Juan: (PASS) The collaboration really doesn’t do anything for me. I’d rather buy a pair non-collaborative pair in the near future at a sale price.
Andres: (PASS) Have never been a fan of the Tubular Nova, but Slam Jam did a pretty good job to give some relevance to the shoe. All white again? Is that theme for this weekend’s releases? I’ll pass on these.
A detailed look at the standout Nike Kobe 11 Elite USA is featured, as the model essentially pays homage to upcoming Summer Games in Rio, as well as Bryant’s time with the USAB program.
Saluting the Black Mamba’s historic career and the country with a patriotic palette — red, white and blue is simply the overall colorway on the basketball sneaker. Although it’s subtle, a notable detail is seen on the heel, which references to Bryant?s two appearances in the Olympics ? ?08? and ?12? respectively. Finished off with an icy blue translucent sole unit, other stylish elements include reflective accents adorning the sheath logo across its tongue.
Retailing for a price tag of $200, you can purchase a pair at select Nike retailers on July 18th.
Following an initial look, more official imagery of the standout Nike SBxFB collection are now revealed, as it features three of the Swoosh’s popular skateboarding silhouettes.
Comprised of the Stefan Janoski, Eric Koston and the P-Rod 9 Elite silhouettes, the sneakers have been revamped with premium flair through the utilization of textured leather. Treated in tonal hues of white, black and navy for lifestyle appeal, the models are outfitted with either a white or gum sole unit to finish off the clean design.
Retailing for $125 – $150, you can purchase the entire lineup at select Nike retailers and through the SNKRS app starting July 6th.
Following its introduction in a wolf grey colorway, the new Nike Roshe Tiempo VI, which is essentially a hybrid mixture of the Roshe Run and Tiempo silhouettes, is now revealed in night maroon.
The lifestyle-inclined model flaunts the bold hue across its upper, which is mostly comprised of leather, while tonal suede is utilized for the Swooshes across its side panels and heel. Incorporating a distinct embossed texture throughout as well to provide more character to its aesthetic, the sneaker is finished off with a clean, white full-length sole unit.
You can find this pair at select Nike retailers overseas first, while a stateside release is imminent.
I like it. The blend looks nicely done and I’m pretty biased towards the colorway as well. It’s something familiar but a bit different, and still a solid offering.
