Nike SF-AF1 String Releases Next Thursday

The Nike SF-AF1 is releasing in a new “String” colorway on January 19th, 2017. The militarized version of Bruce Kilgore’s iconic 1982 basketball model was a surprise hit to end 2016 for NSW, as a number of military-like colorways disappeared from store shelves, each featuring ballistic nylon, weather resistant uppers and awesome paracord straps that sometimes doubled as straps to a coinciding duffle bag depending on the colorway. The Nike SF-AF1 String mixes things up though, as an updated lifestyle grade suede matches the updated boot-inspired lace eyelets while a gum outsole offsets the off-white midsole unit. What do you think of the look? Check out more detailed shots of this upcoming Nike SF-AF1 below courtesy of Rock City Kicks and stay tuned for more Release Dates right here on Sneaker News.

Unfortunately the Pacers star is struggling a bit in his first-ever signature shoe, but that won’t take away from the fact that the response to Nike’s 21st signature shoe model was outstandingly positive. Will LeBrons Nike Air Zoom Generation Be Receiving The Retro Treatment

LeBron James has been spotted regularly wearing some of his more popular signature sneakers from early on in his career whether it be at practice, during a game, or while he’s out and about. Many people have been wondering when Nike will be retroing some of his older sneakers and it appears that it may be happening soon.

Today we get a look at the Nike Air Zoom Generation First Game, the sneaker that LeBron James wore when he played in his first home game in Cleveland back in 2003. The shoe features the traditional Cavs color scheme of white, navy and wine throughout the upper and most importantly the “11-5-2003” date stitched onto the inner liner of the shoe.
