Introducing Nike Football’s next great technological achievement. No, they’re not putting grass in this PE like they did for Odell Beckham, but the Nike Alpha Menace Elite introduces a new cleat base that should help peak performers reach their quickest speeds while allowing them to stop on a dime this coming gridiron season.

The Nike Alpha Menace Elite was built to be both versatile and explosive for NFL playmakers used to changing speed and direction much like Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The Menace utilizes fourteen studs on the outsole, eight with a standard stud that you’ll find on most Nike cleats while secondary studs add a unique configuration for better multidirectional traction perfect for cutting. The triangular edges on the studs grab and release the field almost as a shovel would.

“We used an algorithm that dictated what the lightest, strongest structure was, and we built the plate based on that information,? Nike Sr. Inline Innovator and lead footwear designer Jeff Rasmussen explained. After analyzing data, designers moved away from the usual carbon fiber for a combination of different textiles for the outsole. The upper is comprised of Flyknit and TPU yarns for a lightweight lockdown fit.

?This cleat means everything to me,? Russell Wilson said. ?When you?re a young kid you dream of certain accomplishments and things you want to do in the sports world, and this is everything that I dreamed of.?

The Nike Alpha Menace Elite will be available for pre-order on Nike.com starting March 27th with only 12 pairs of the white Russell Wilson PE being able to order in his size 12.5 for a true PE offering. General release colorways like the green pair showcased below will be available via Nike.com and select outlets on March 30th. The new playoff-ready version of Kevin Durant’s ninth signature shoe continues its new looks with this latest in white and grey Flyknit with a gum sole below. The clean colorway is one of the best versions of the KD 9 Elite we’ve seen yet, featuring an intricate white and grey Flyknit weave with the unique stretchy heel piece in solid white and reflective silver Swooshes. Before you get down to the gum sole, you’ll also notice an addition of color with the visible Zoom fibers in teal. There’s no word yet on a release date, but expect this KD 9 Elite to drop sooner than later. Stay tuned to Sneaker News for an official drop date.

Earlier this month A$AP Bari confirmed that there would be an OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1 Low releasing by posting it on his Twitter.

Now OFF-WHITE’s very own Virgil Abloh gives us further confirmation as well as a new look at the upcoming collaboration. The OFF-WHITE x Nike Air Force 1 Low features a black leather upper with an oversized stitched on metallic silver Swooshe on both the lateral and medial sides. Other details include new ?AIR? branding on the midsole in white, new placement of the “NIKE AIR” branding on the tongue, and “SHOELACE” written on the actual laces. No release date has been made available yet, but make sure you keep it locked to Kicks On Fire for updates.

Nike SB fans might remember the era of the Pink Box, a time that was recently referenced through a special edition Nike SB Dunk Low colorway, and now it looks like Nike SB’s love of pastel pink shades is going to continue with the upcoming Nike SB Bruin “Pink Motel”. The pair is an homage to the legendary Los Angeles, California skate spot that became famous after the 10 foot fishbowl pool was featured in Powell Peralta’s 1987 video, The Search For Animal Chin featuring Bones Brigade (if you haven’t seen it yet, give the film a quick YouTube search and you won’t be disappointed). Since then the Pink Motel has been regularly featured in skate ads and regulars included Tony Hawk, Lance Mountain, and many more. Now you can own this Nike Bruin Pink Motel for just $75 USD and add it to your Spring/Summer 2017 rotation when it drops this Thursday, March 30th at select spots like Premier and on Nike.com.

There’s still no release information for the “Suptempo” Nike Air More Uptempo from Supreme, but the young lady sneakerheads has something to look forward to with this girl-only drop of the classic hoops shoe in black and pink. The bold feminine take on the shoe made famous by Scottie Pippen (and George of the Jungle) in 1996 gets a black upper with hot pink accents in place of all the white on the OG black and white colorway. After dropping a few colorways of the original Nike Air Zoom Spiridon last year, Nike Sportswear has turned their attention to the updated ‘Ultra’ version of the shoe in 2017. Next up for the Spiridon modified with a seamless upper and lighter sole is an OG colorway of the speedy Zoom runner in royal blue, black, and silver with just a touch of red. Not yet released on the retro of the original construction, this is your first chance at the colorway since 1997. Expect them at select Nike Sportswear retailers soon, and right now at Nike.com.

Nike Sportswear continues to release some of your favorite colorways of the Nike Flyknit Racer every spring, and this season continues that tradition with the return of what many thought was one of the finest releases of 2013, the Flyknit Racer Multi-Color 2.0, on April 7th.

One Oregon Ducks fan is definitely ready for their appearance in the Final Four this year. Oregon and apparent PE sneaker super fan Andy Maletis took to Instagram to no-so-subtly flex his amazing collection of Nike and Air Jordan Oregon player exclusives, which may just be the best in the world. He seems to have all the heavy hitters of the Oregon PE’s throughout the years: Air Jordan 4‘s, Air Jordan 3’s, Air Jordan 5’s, the LeBron 2. You’re going to need at least a couple of hours if you want to see the entire new Nike retail store in Moscow. Nike’s latest flagship location is in Moscow, Russia and it’s a beauty. Taking on the “go big or go home” mindset, Nike created a five-story, 23,455-square-foot store in a art nouveau building that was built in 1903. Get a good look at the store above and if you’re ever in the area, this is definitely a must see destination. The new Nike store is located at Kuznetskiy Most, 14 in Moscow.

Yesterday may have been Air Max Day, but Off-White head-honcho Virgil Abloh took to Instagram to show off another look at his upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low. The unique new makeover by the streetwear label transforms the classic silhouette into a bold new sneaker with an oversized metallic silver Swoosh stitched on, a strange placement of the Nike Air Logo on the tongue, and special details like “AIR” and “SHOELACE” printed on to match Off-White’s current “Everything in Quotes” motif. It all adds up to hat will probably be the most hyped Air Force 1 release of the year. Finally, the Nike Air VaporMax has arrived! Many people have already picked up a pair of the inaugural colorways, but if you holding out until the right colorway comes along, we suggest you take a look at this never-before-seen Burgundy and Black colorway of the shoe.

The newest unveiled colorway of the Nike Air VaporMax comes dressed in a Burgundy Flyknit upper accented by the hits of Black on the ankle collar, Nike branding and the Air Max sole unit. These will definitely look the best during the Fall season, but I would not blame you one bit if you save a spot for these in your Spring weekly rotation. The place to be this past Saturday night was definitely Le Brea Ave. Nike hosted a huge event to that celebrated Air (Max) and the all the culture that comes with it. As an added bonus, Travis Scott also made a surprise appearance and held a mini concert for the 2,500 Nike enthusiasts right outside the SNEAKEASY Los Angeles pop-up shop. During the event, Sean Wotherspoon was also announced as the Revolutionair winner. All in all, nothing but good vibes this weekend. Nike has another hit on their hands. The Nike VaporMax completely sold out yesterday during the Air Max Day 2017 celebration, and early feedback of the shoe that features a futuristic full-length visible air outsole with absolutely no midsole unit to help you truly ‘walk on air’ has been insanely positive. The limited runs of all three debut colorways will likely be more readily available in the future as the Swoosh garners more attention to their head-turning new silhouette (the same can’t be said about the COMME des Garcons Nike VaporMax, unfortunately).

This weekend didn’t come without its fair share of controversy. First, adidas tried to spoil the Swoosh’s weekend plans with a last minute surprise: the adidas Best of Boost celebration started Saturday, March 25th with restocks on some of their most popular Ultra Boosts and NMD colorways. Then the miadidas Ultra Boost dropped featuring Multi-Color Primeknit options at the NYC flagship store. The competitive nature of trying to steal people’s attention away from Air Max Day was awesome, and what resulted was a weekend for the ages.

While the three stripes might’ve tried to steal some of Nike’s thunder, it didn’t look like it hurt first weekend sales of the VaporMax, though. Some adidas employees were even caught tweeting out the #noairneeded tag, but Nike took the high road and had another awesome Air Max Day. The fact that Air Max technology has had a three-decade run speaks for itself, and even the best Boost offerings couldn’t deter Nike loyalists. Now if Boost is around for another decade or two, a Best of Boost weekend will definitely be able to stand on its own merit, and not just serve as a foil to a special Nike occasion. After opening up their amazing new stores in NYC, Miami, and Beijing last year, yesterday Nike opened the doors to their latest flagship location in Moscow, Russia. The impressive five-story, 23,455-square-foot store features exciting amenities like the other flagship retail locations, including a Nike+ Running Trial Zone, Nike+ Football Trial Zone and personalization areas for product customization within the art nouveau building built in 1903. Russian sneakerheads and anybody else passing through can find the new Nike store at Kuznetskiy Most, 14 in Moscow.
