Release Date: Nike Kobe A.D. NXT Volt

Nike designer and longtime collaborator Eric Avar worked with Bryant to develop the new Nike Kobe A.D. NXT, Kobe Bryant’s second post-retirement sneaker.

Defined by a new lacing structure, the design was achieved by integrating the lacing with the Flyknit upper. Pulling the laces up and out of the lace lock draws the structure together, creating a fluid system with the drop-in insole (combining Lunarlon with a Zoom Air bag, and siped in the forefoot for flexibility).

In addition, the sneaker’s flyknit upper incorporates a subtle circular pattern that was inspired by a lotus flower and represents rebirth. Other details on the shoe include secret Kobe codes. On the laterial side, the code translates to ?unhinge? (defined here as disrupting the normal operation), whereas on the medial side the code relays the thought, “end and begin.?

Overall, the code symbols and lotus flower pattern reaffirm Bryant and Avar’s reawakening of the KOBE line.

Featured in bright volt, you can also find the new model in wolf grey at select Nike retailers starting this Saturday, April 1 for $200.

The Nike Air Woven Will Drop These Two New Colorways Next Month

The Nike Air Woven will be debuting two new colorways next Summer. Coming in two completely different colorways, you have the choice of picking up a super-colorful pair or opt for a far more subtle approach.

Pair number one of the Nike Air Woven comes with a multicolor woven upper with hits of White noted on the pull tab and sole. Pair two comes in a Black and White motif said to acknowledge the changing of seasons and is said to be a limited release. Both pairs will be available at international retailers starting next month, we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we get an exact release date. Which pair are you feeling the most? As much as I’m a fan of mulicolored sneakers, these look to much like a Fruity Pebbles collab to be quite honest.

Nike Is Bringing Flyknit To The Sock Racer

The Nike Sock Racer made an unexpected return earlier this month, and now it gets an unexpected update with a new Flyknit construction. OK, maybe it’s not that unexpected with Nike’s propensity to add a Flyknit upper to many of their classic models, but you probably still didn’t see these coming. Previously updated with a Free sole, the Sock Racer gets a sleeker version of the flexible sole this time around and adds a full Flyknit upper. What you end up with is easily the best modification for the once-radical running shoe design from the early 1980s. The Flyknit Sock Racer can be previewed in two colorways here including color-faded and black/white options, and you can expect them soon at select Nike Sportswear retailers globally.
