With LeBron James having just won his 3rd NBA Championship last night, the timing couldn’t be any more perfect as we’ll be seeing the release of the Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack this upcoming weekend. This celebratory pack also celebrates Michael Jordan’s 3rd NBA championship and the completion of his first threepeat.

Today we take look at the complete set of official images of the Trophy colorway from the pack which features a Light Bone leather upper with perforations appearing on the side panels and around the ankle. Golden accents then appear on the signature cross straps, outsole and slightly above the midsole. The gold accents by the midsole feature finger prints that symbolize Michael Jordan and his teammates passing around the Larry O’Brien trophy in celebration. Last but not least we see the insides of the straps read “‘WORLD CHAMPIONS” and “AGAIN AND AGAIN.”

Look for the Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack Trophy to release on June 25, 2016 for a retail price of $250 for men and $180 for GS. Head over to our Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack to see more images, release information and other updates on this release.

Author’s Take

Out of both sneakers from this collection I only like the white pair because of the gold detailing. However I’m not really a fan of the Air Jordan 8, especially if it retails for $250.

Last week Enzo Amore laced up the Air Jordan 8 Chrome in preparation for the weekend’s “Money In The Bank” pay-per-view event and us wrestling/sneaker fanatics were eager to see what he would be wearing for the actual MITB event.

It turns out that Enzo decided to take the custom route once again and enlisted the help of sneaker customizer Mache Customs, again. Enzo rocked a custom pair of Air Jordan 14 Lows which featured a gold upper and faux leopard fur on the toe and heel. Since the event took place in Vegas, Mache hooked up the insoles with a special “Realest Guys In Las Vegas” logo as well as Enzo’s favorite poo emoji. Enzo and Big Cass ended up losing the 4 man tag team championship match as The New Day reclaimed their titles.

The Air Jordan 12 has released in a number of solid colorways this year, and this is another great example. If only those blue-colored panels on the sides would be white instead, I?ll be all over it.

The Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack Champagne Drops This Weekend

Air Jordan 8 Air Jordan 8 1 Air Jordan 8 2 Air Jordan 8 3 Air Jordan 8 4 Air Jordan 8 5 Air Jordan 8 6 Air Jordan 8 7 Air Jordan 8 8

Another detailed look at the upcoming the Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack Champagne edition is featured, as the silhouette is scheduled to drop in the next few days.

Noted as a tribute to MJ?s last championship in 1992-93 from his first three-peat with the Chicago Bulls, the basketball sneaker essentially takes cues from the Larry O?Brien Championship Trophy.

Flaunting a clean, light bone/white finish throughout its premium perforated suede upper, the defining theme is evident on the rear portion, which is draped in metallic gold and incorporates a fingerprint graphic that references to MJ grabbing the trophy in the celebration. Additionally, the collar section and heel receives a patent leather overlay with a slight sheen for additional flair.

More gold accents adorn the ankle straps and branding on the tongue to finish it off. You can purchase a pair at select select Nike and JB stockists on Saturday, June 25th for $250.

Joining alongside the Champagne offering, will be this Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack Confetti edition, which is set to debut in a few days.

As suggested with the aforementioned pair, the silhouette is essentially a tribute to MJ?s last championship from his first three-peat with the Chicago Bulls in 1992-93.

Taking cues from the pieces of colorful paper that are typically thrown during celebrations of parades, the theme is evident across the sneaker’s rear section. Comprised of premium textured leather, the black-out profile is further dated with a patent leather wrap throughout the collar section and heel in a slight sheen to further evoke the celebratory finish. Furthermore, metallic gold accents are placed on the straps of the ankle and tongue to finish off the design.

Retailing for $250, you can purchase at pair at select Nike and JB stockists on Saturday, June 25th.
