Midnight Navy has then been placed on the inner liner as well as on the heel tab. Finishing off the look is White which lands on the mudguard, midsole and outsole.

I?ve never owned a pair of Space Jam 11s before and it?s a sneaker I think everyone just needs in their collection if you?re an Air Jordan fan. I still haven?t  made up my mind on whether or not I?m going to cop.

It kind of looks like a colorway that has released in the past, huh? It’s a dope colorway. I won’t be picking it up, but it’s definitely dope.

The Air Jordan 14 Indiglo Retro Drops This August

Jordan Brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 14 “Indiglo” on August 13th. When introduced in 1999, the Air Jordan 14 featured a number of strange yet enticing original colorways ranging from the “Oxidized Green” aesthetic and this “Indiglo” pair. They both deviated so far outside the normal Jordan realm of traditional colorways that we’ve yet to see retros of both pairs, until now. A tumbled leather side panel and rich nubuck add a remastered luxury to this summer-ready pair while touches of that electric green land on throughout for the perfect touch. What do you think of the look? Check out a preview of the 2016 retro after the break and stay tuned for more Jordan release dates right here on Sneaker News.

The Air Jordan 12 Retro UNC Releases This Weekend

Another weekend, another Air Jordan 12 release. The most-used silhouette of the year by Jordan Brand shows up this Saturday in its next all-new colorway, featuring what has been dubbed the “UNC” look thanks to the hits of University Blue on the Wolf Grey and white leather upper. If they aren’t really reminding you of the Tarheels team colors, many are also considering the color scheme a remix of the original “Obsidian” colorway, or comparing them to the “Bobcats” edition from 2012. Whatever comparison you want to make, they’re no doubt one of the best Air Jordan 12 releases of the year, and you can find them at select Jordan Brand retailers like Packer Shoes this Saturday, June 25th.

The Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack Champagne Will Be Available In GS Sizes

Air Jordan 8 2 Air Jordan 8 1 Air Jordan 8

While the Confetti variation is listed for adult sizes only, the Champagne rendition from the Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack will be offered in GS sizes.

The grade school celebratory pair essentially maintains the same build as its adult counterpart and noted as a tribute to MJ?s last championship in 1992-93 from his first three-peat with the Chicago Bulls.

Taking cues from the Larry O?Brien Championship Trophy for its distinct aesthetic, the sneaker boasts a light bone/white color scheme across its perforated suede upper with the focal point directed at the rear. Rendered in metallic gold, it also incorporates a fingerprint graphic that references to MJ grabbing the trophy in celebrations.

Although it’s not showcased, hidden under the cross-straps reveal the message — ‘WORLD CHAMPIONS’ and ‘AGAIN AND AGAIN’.

GS sizes will retail for $180 and can be purchased at select Nike and JB stockists this Saturday, June 25th.

Author’s Take

I?m biased towards this silhouette overall. Out of the two, I like this pair more because of the clean colorway. I’m sure females who also adore this colorway are particularly happy as well.

Interview: Jordan Clarkson Shares Love Of Call Of Duty, Jordan Retros And Playing For The Philippines

Jordan Clarkson of the Los Angeles Lakers has literally grown up with the Call of Duty video game franchise. Since the series really took off with Modern Warfare back in 2007, Clarkson – who was 15 at the time – has taken on the yearly roller coaster shooter ride, whether it’s been Infinity Ward or Treyarch (he says Black Ops II is his personal favorite) or Sledgehammer and their many partners at the helm. For 2016’s Infinite Warfare, which was shown during this year’s E3 convention at the LA Convention Center, Clarkson got a glimpse into the future and the vast (now we’re in space) world(s) that CoD now inhabits.

In between checking out the game and roaming the show floor, Clarkson talked to Kicks On Fire about his experience with the franchise and of course, sneakers. Because no other sneaker blog loves sneakers and video games like KoF. We’re crazy like that…

 Thoughts about Infinite Warfare:

I think it’s great. I got a little preview of it and it’s got plenty of new features, new guns. The space setting is probably the best thing I saw. It takes you to a different dimension (for Call of Duty) with the space ships and how you’re able to lock on targets, all of it just feels different from the previous games. It looks cool.

I think it’s dope that it’s in the future and you never know, this might be what happens one day (laughs).

Online Multiplayer or Single-Player?

I like a little bit of both. I’ll play online and co-op especially when there are people over at the house. I play with my teammates and my best friends, like Andre Roberson of the Oklahoma City Thunder and my homies back home.

Out of my teammates, Roy (Hibbert) is probably the best who I play with and then there’s Andre among the NBA guys. I’m probably second to both of those guys but I wouldn’t say I’m bad or anything like that. I’ll still go out there and get after it but those guys are really good.

I don’t put my tag out there for my Xbox or my Playstation. I don’t need people knowing they’re going up against, nah, man (laughs).

His favorite Call of Duty games are….

Black Ops 1 and 2. Love the zombie modes.

Switching to sneakers because of course we had to get his thoughts on the kicks (especially his Jordan retros and Kobes) and possibly his role with Gilas Pilipinas should they qualify for the Rio Olympics this summer.

Describing his relationship with the brands since he wears both Nikes and Jordans

Well, I’m signed with Nike and we have a good relationship (that allows me to wear Jordans), but I do like to spice it up sometimes and wear some Jordans.

My favorite retros to wear on the court are my 7s or the 11s. I can play in them fine and they still look cool. I don’t know about the ankle support on the 7s but they’re still mobile for me. I don’t really have a favorite colorway of either shoe. I wore the Martian 7s for a game, Playoff 11s for a game.

Stephen Dunn/Getty Images for NBA
Stephen Dunn/Getty Images for NBA

Did Kobe Bryant give him a hard time for not wearing his shoes

Nah nah (laughs), he used to wear retros back in the days so it was a little bit of a tribute to him too (editor’s note: I would have loved to have heard that justification in front Mamba). That’s why I wore them a little bit more this year because he wore some of the same stuff I did.

Favorite Kobes to wear

Man, I don’t know his numbers like that, but I do like this years 11s that we had, I like those and maybe the 7s.

Rappler
Rappler

On his current status with Gilas Pilipinas

Right now it’s just working with FIBA and hopefully everything goes through. Hopefully we’ll be able to get through the qualifier (which takes place in Manila) so that I can represent the country in Rio this summer. We hope all that stuff works out.

What kicks he might wear should he suit up for the team

I don’t know, but hopefully Nike will cook up something hot for the national team. I think we’ll be ok as a team. I practiced with them a few times last year and I think we’ll be fine as long as we leave it all out there.

Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be available on November 4 on Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

Gym Red Highlights The Jordan Horizon Low

JORDAN HORIZON LOW 6 JORDAN HORIZON LOW 7 JORDAN HORIZON LOW 1 JORDAN HORIZON LOW 5 JORDAN HORIZON LOW 2 JORDAN HORIZON LOW 3 JORDAN HORIZON LOW 4 JORDAN HORIZON LOW

Last offered in triple black, the Jordan Horizon Low is introduced in another new colorway to kick-off the summer season.

This time utilizing the popular black and gym red color scheme, the tones are essentially mixed across the knitted upper, while tonal black accents adorn the leather eye stays, tongue, inner lining, laces and midsole unit. The model is further pronounced with a red outsole and subtle speckling throughout the sole unit.

You can find this pair at select JB and Nike accounts nationwide soon, as it’s currently available overseas.

Author’s Take

I’m not really a fan of this pair, but this variation doesn’t look bad. Maybe since I’m biased to the colorway, but I still wouldn’t consider purchasing.

Yet more detailed imagery of the upcoming that somewhat pays tribute to Air Jordan 12 that pays homage to MJ?s alma mater ? the University of North Carolina ? is showcased once again, as it’s scheduled to debut in a few more days.

Overall, the model flaunts a simple grey/white color scheme which essentially drapes its premium tumbled leather construction and rubber sole unit. The defining hue is situated on the pull tabs, miniature branded side panels and rear portion to complement the aesthetic, as well as encapsulate the respective theme.

Finished off with shiny metallic silver accents on the upper eyelets, you can purchase a pair at select JB and Nike retailers on Saturday, June 25th, for a retail price of $190.

The Air Jordan 12 has released in a number of solid colorways this year, and this is another great example. If only those blue-colored panels on the sides would be white instead, I?ll be all over it.

The Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack Will Drop In A Few More Days

Air Jordan 8 Air Jordan 8 1 Air Jordan 8 2 Air Jordan 8 3 Air Jordan 8 4 Air Jordan 8 5

Even more imagery of the Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack featuring the Champagne and Confetti edition is featured, as the commemorative pairs are set to debut in the coming days.

Noted as a tribute to MJ?s last championship in 1992-93 from his first three-peat with the Chicago Bulls, the basketball sneakers takes cues from the Larry O?Brien Championship Trophy and pieces of colorful paper that are typically thrown during celebrations or parades respectively.

The Champagne pair flaunts a clean, light bone/white finish across its perforated suede upper, while the defining theme is focalized on the rear, which is draped in metallic gold and incorporates a fingerprint graphic that references to MJ grabbing the trophy. The Confetti variation is dressed in a complete counterpart, as it sports a full-black makeup with the thematic design directed at the rear section as well in vibrant tones.

Metallic gold accents adorn the ankle straps and branding on the tongue to finish it all off. You can purchase both pairs at select Nike and JB stockists on Saturday, June 25th for $250 each.

I?m a fan of the silhouette in general but out of the two, I like the white offering more. The black version is cool but I would?ve preferred gold/silver confetti instead. Still a solid offering though.

Jordan Spieth Supports Steph Curry With The Curry Two Low Chef

Not only was fellow Under Armour athlete Tom Brady showing Steph Curry some support last week, but another major Under Armour star also decided to show love to the back to back MVP.

Before the final round of the U.S. Open, Jordan Spieth (who is also signed to Under Armour) went on Twitter and shared a picture of himself and caddy Michael Greller holding up the Under Armour Curry Two Low Chef, which if you aren’t aware has been bashed a lot over the last week. Jordan’s captions reads “Michael and I bringing the @stephencurry30 ‘Straight 🔥 ‘ to the course today.”

Even thought Curry and the Warriors went on to lose game 7 to the Cavs last night, it’s still pretty cool to see athletes from the same brand support one another. Maybe Curry should have worn these bad boys for game 7.
