According To DJ Khaled, The Pink Don C x Air Jordan 2 Is Releasing For Kids Only

Jordan Brand has enlisted platinum award-winning producer DJ Khaled to help spread the brand’s influence for quite some time now. Not only has Khaled been a vocal sneakerhead throughout his numerous sneaker closet tours, but his unique and infectious personality has also inspired the Jumpman to continue to push their footwear lineup deeper into the luxurious lifestyle realm. Khaled sat down with Jordan Brand’s new blog for a brief interview focused around some of his favorite silhouettes ranging from the Air Jordan 4 Motorsports, the Air Jordan 1 Top Three, and the upcoming Don C Air Jordan 2 Pink including a rundown of that iconic photo of him in the custom pink silk suit to match the upcoming collaboration. Toward the end of the interview, Khaled even reveals that the Jordan 2 Pink may even be exclusive to a GS size run.

?This broke the internet. Me, in my house, on my way to the press conference to announce the title of my album, Grateful. I remember calling Reggie [Saunders], I was like, ‘Yo Reggie, imma wear a pink suit at the Beverly Hills Hotel for my press conference. Do you have any pink J?s?’ That morning, I was surprised with some pink ?Don C?s?. I didn?t know that they only making these for kids. It makes the shoe 10 times more exclusive even though they?re already exclusive. They?re pink ?Don C?s?. I haven?t seen them. I haven?t even seen Don C with them. I got a chance to wear them and it was a big day for me, and I?m grateful for y?all sending me that pair.?

We’re still unsure when and where the Don C x Air Jordan 2 Pink will release but we’ll be sure to keep you updated via our Jordan Release Dates page once we track that information down. In the meantime, read the full DJ Khaled interview over at Air.Jordan.com.

Is The Air Jordan 1 Royal Satin Releasing In NYC Today

This past weekend, Jordan Brand surprised customers of Houston and Atlanta by releasing a limited edition run of the Air Jordan 1 “Royal Satin” at Active Athlete and Walter’s. While not as scarce as the Banned Satin 1s, the Air Jordan 1 “Royal Satin” is still a hotly coveted item and currently fetches top dollar on the secondary market.

Rumors of an NYC release of the Royal Satin 1 are swirling around, so if true, Jordan Brand could have a special pop-up shop ready, or they might just drop it at one of their outposts such as 45 Grand or Nike SoHo. Considering the Royal Satins dropped at their retail partners, a surprise release at top-tier sneaker boutiques such as Concepts NYC or KITH is possible as well. Consider this: the Jordan Brand Classic is this Friday and KITH Brooklyn is just a few blocks away.

Full disclaimer: the NYC release of the Royal Satins is just a rumor at this point and what is mentioned above is purely conjecture. We’ll update you on our Twitter and Instagram account should we learn more.

The Air Jordan 7 Pure Platinum Releases On June 3rd

June is going to be a huge month for Jordan Retros. Not only are we getting the Air Jordan 13 “Playoffs”, the Air Jordan 13 Low “Chutney”, and the Jordan Spi’zike OG “Cement”, but today we get word that the Air Jordan 7 “Pure Platinum” will also be available on June 3rd, cementing the month of June as another strong month for retro silhouettes from the Jumpman.

The Jordan 7 Pure Platinum, also known as the Jordan 7 Pure Money, takes Mike’s lauded 1992 retro silhouette to task with a premium combination of all white tumbled leather and Pure Platinum panels in suede for a look perfect for Summer 2017. The clean nearly all-white aesthetic is accented by Metallic Silver Jumpman branding and a neoprene tongue that skips out on the usual jagged graphics inspired initially by Bugs Bunny’s love of carrots for a simple, yet elegant look that you’ll want to keep as clean as possible. This is a new look for the Jordan 7, as it’s not a silhouette that you’d necessarily associate with an all-white colorway given the sneaker’s vibrant colorway history ranging from the Bordeaux, Raptors, and Hare options, but we’re excited for this new edition nonetheless.

Will you be picking up a pair of the Jordan 7 Pure Platinum this June? Check out more detailed shots below and head over to our Jordan Release Dates page to stay updated on all of the latest Jumpman offerings for the foreseeable future.

The Air Jordan Spizike Cement Will Rerelease This Summer

The Air Jordan Spizike is arguably one of the best Jordan hybrid models Jordan Brand has ever released. Although it utilizes many features and characteristics of Jordan retro models, it still manages to create a look of its own. With that being said, we’re here to let you know that the OG colorway, the Air Jordan Spizike Cement is expected to make a return this Summer.

The Air Jordan Spizike Cement comes in a White leather upper contrasted by the Grey on the mudguard, elephant print on the toe and heel and Red on the lining, sole unit, heel branding and honeycomb eyelets. Granted, the Spizike is not as popular as it was back when it made its debut in 2016, but we’re pretty sure a handful of readers will be happy to hear about this OG colorway making a return. Expected to drop on June 20th. Who’s copping?
