A Rare Look At Carmelo Anthonys Air Jordan 4 Laser USA PE From 2008
You’ve seen the Air Jordan 4 “Laser”, but have you seen these? Almost a shoe of legends, today we get a look at a very rare version of the lasered Air Jordan 4 Retro made specifically for Carmelo Anthony in honor of his participation with the 2008 Olympic basketball team. The shoe takes the laser etched pattern you know from the retail Air Jordan 4, but utilizes a navy blue upper with red and white accents for the patriotic theme. The interior includes American flags on the insole, and the date 8/8/08 and USA Basketball logos on the back of each tongue. One of the only known pairs not in the possession of Melo himself, this unicorn sneaker is available now on eBay.

OG Vibes Appear On The Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra
If you’re a devoted fan of the Nike Air Huarache Run, you know that nothing screams “OG” more than the Scream Green colorway. Looking to add some vintage aesthetics of its own, the modern looking Nike Air Huarache Run Ultra borrows the OG colorway from its predecessor for its latest look.
The Huarache Run Ultra comes constructed out of a textile and mesh upper done up in a Pure Platinum and Black colorway. The Scream Green them contrasts the appearance on the upper as it’s placed on the heel and heel counted of the shoe. Additional color can be seen on the branding of the tongue, while big “NIKE” lettering can be seen on the heel counter of the shoe. A white sole unit and black inner lining complete the shoe’s appearance. Available at select retailers, let us know if you’re diggin’ this OG look on the Huarache Run Ultra.
I like the OG colorway being used on the shoe, I just wish there was more of it being used on the upper. Perhaps on the underlays or something along those lines, I thing it would have helped the shoe by giving it some more pop.

Your Thoughts On The Saint Laurent Patent Croc-Effect Leather High-Tops
The Saint Laurent Patent Croc-Effect Leather High-Tops are one of the latest offerings coming out of the Saint Laurent luxury high-end brand. Looking for something with a luxurious over-the-top feel? What better way to show it that look than with a shoe done up in glossy patent leather and textured with crocodile skin?
Coming in an all-black aesthetic, the high top luxury sneakers are dressed in both smooth leather and glossy patent leather with a crocodile texture on them. Debossed branding appears on the heel, while a gold branding hit is placed on the tongue of the shoe. A black leather liner, tonal laces and eyelets and an all-black sole unit round out the monochromatic look of the shoe. Available now, pick up your very own pair for the retail price of $695.
A little bit too over-the-top looking for me. As this point in my life, I’m not quite into the luxury sneaker scene just yet. If I were to pick up a pair, it would be without the crocodile texture on them, I’d rather keep it a bit more simple.
Sneaker Grails: Gary Paytons Air Jordan 12 Los Angeles Lakers Player Exclusives
Two weeks ago, Nike unveiled their SNKRS Experience in Los Angeles for NBA All-Star Weekend. For poor schmucks like me who were unable to make the trip to Toronto, it was a nice slice of the madness that featured some of the biggest releases from All-Star, including Nike’s full slate of kicks, the Air Jordan XXX and the return of the Air Jordan 4 White/Cement. But the real highlight for me were the kicks that were on display and NOT ON SALE at SNKRS, including player exclusives from the likes of Kobe Bryant and Ron Harper, rarities like the Pit Crew 3s and even the Eminem x Carthartt 4s. But for me the real gem was an Air Jordan 12 in white and Laker gold with “The Glove” stitched on the heel, indicating its player exclusive status. It’s the property of one Gary Payton, only one of my favorite players of all-time wearing one of my favorite kicks of all-time.
We romanticize Kobe Bryant’s time as a sneaker free agent during the 2002-03 NBA season and the variety and freedom he had in what kicks he could wear. What we didn’t realize at the time was that a year later, a new teammate would come in and practically overshadow Mamba with enough Jordan exclusives to make even the most jaded sneakerhead cry with joy. GP’s lone year in Los Angeles had him rocking purple and gold exclusives of retros and Team Jordans alike and they were all high up on there on the fire meter. But it was those 12s, man. Imagine the Air Jordan 12 The Master with a purple mudguard with gold aglets and eyelets? Yo…
Seeing GP in Jordans during that time was actually pretty mind-boggling if you think about it. Like Jason Kidd, GP was a superstar for the swoosh during the 90s but both made the switch over to Jordan Brand during the early part of the 2000s as veterans who were not being asked to carry brand but rather give it some credibility. It even showed in the commercials they starred in. Who would have thought The Glove would go from this…
Yeah, as happy I am that super-serious, ring-chasing, Jordan-wearing Gary Payton eventually got his in Miami, I miss old trash-talking GP who didn’t mind wearing a super afro.
But at least we have those Jordans to show for that brief era of Gary Payton’s career, so I guess it all worked out in the end. Well, except for the part where I don’t have a pair of these. Welp, I guess that’s why I write these Sneaker Grails entries as a sort of therapy.
The Nike Air Classic BW Premium keeps things at a premium aesthetic by coming dressed in a luxe leather all-black upper. Having already gone over the shoe, today we take another look at them.
The official colorway of the shoe is read as Black/Bright Crimson-Wolf Grey. The upper is dressed in all-black as both nubuck and leather take care of the contruction. Breaking up the tonal look of the base is the white placed on the midsole and the Bright Crimson found on the Air Max unit and outsole. Black lining, laces and Nike branding complete the major features on the shoe. Available now at select retailers, pick up your very own pair today.
This latest iteration of the Air Jordan 2 is set to be a part of the upcoming “Poster” collection, that also happens to included the Air Jordan 12 The Master. Dubbed the Air Jordan 2 Wing It, the shoe is inspired by a Jordan Brand ad campaign that came out back in 1986, the same year that the Air Jordan 2 made its debut. As a part of that campaign, Jordan Brand released a poster that shows Michael Jordan’s feet wearing the brand new Air Jordan 2 while soaring in the sky, with the phrase “WING IT” placed right under it.
The Air Jordan 2 Wing It will come in a color scheme that’s very similar to the pair that Jordan is wearing in the poster. The shoe is constructed out of a white textured leather upper offset by the black accents found on the midsole, laces, heel and lining. The dark grey tongue will house the Jordan Wings logo, while the heel tab will have the words “WING” and “IT.” to complete the theme of the shoe.
The Air Jordan 12 The Master Drops This Weekend, Air Jordan 5 PE For Melo?s Soccer Team? (Video)
Juan Carrillo, News: I’ve newer owned any pairs of 2s, only because the colors that have dropped lately are not rally to my liking. Although this version is fairly subtle, it manages to work quite well in my opinion. The theme/inspiration behind the shoe is alright, but I’m more into the look of the shoe, which I can totally see myself wearing.
The Air Jordan 12 The Master Drops This Weekend, Air Jordan 5 PE For Melos Soccer Team (Video)
2016 is shaping up to be a big year for the Air Jordan 12 and kicking things off is the Air Jordan 12 The Master. As part of the Poster series that also features the Air Jordan 2 Wing It, The Master 12 takes a classic Air Jordan poster from the past and uses that as an inspiration for the colorway. With a black, white and gold color scheme, this is another solid entry in one of the best Air Jordans ever made.
The adidas Ultra Boost had one hell of a 2015. Looking to have an even better 2016, expect the Ultra Boost to come at us better than ever. One of the first offerings of the new year is the adidas Ultra Boost Solar Red . If it’s a bold offering that you’re looking for, this is the Ultra Boost for you.
The Primeknit upper comes in a predominantly all-red motif, as a gradient pattern on the toe box also includes a different shade of red as well as some orange to create the monochromatic look of the shoe. Black accents are found on the heel counter and rubber outsole, while the customary white Boost modsole once again makes an appearance. Available now, pick up your pair at select retailers for $180.
Ever since I saw the gradient uppers on the Ultra Boost, I never really liked them, this one is no different. Don’t get me wrong, the show is dope but I just prefer the tonal/non-gradient look on them.

The Nike Air Max 90 Essential Draws Cues From ACG Color Palettes
Nike’s All Conditions Gear saw a recent revamp that twisted around the off-trail aesthetic for a more modern, city appropriate feel. Of course, classic retros like the Nike ACG Mowabb returned to store shelves, but with a $200 price point, the bring back didn’t necessarily leave everyone involved satisfied. That doesn’t change the fact that ACG’s unique color pairings remain as influential as ever, as this Nike Air Max 90 Essential returns with a look straight from the early 90s hiking lookbook. A combination of Black on Black mesh creates an ominous backdrop for unique accents to stand out. While the Swoosh branding is hidden on the side panel, Emerald Green ‘Air Max’ branding remains so there’s no question about the technology brought to the table with this Air Max 90. A khaki take on Metallic Gold hits the outsole and lining to contrast Racer Blue hints throughout. What do you think? We have a detailed look for you below and know that this pair is available from international retailers like Titolo today.
Jordan Brand Signs Toronto Blue Jays Pitcher Marcus Stroman
With David Price departing to greener pastures in Boston, the Toronto Blue Jays have not only lost the ace on their staff, but a bonafide Jordan fanatic that takes the mound in cleated Jordan Retros every week. Jordan Brand filled that void quickly by signing New York native Marcus Stroman, the young Blue Jays pitcher that after getting some playing time in the 2015 postseason, is ready to for the limelight and perhaps take on that ace role somewhere down the line in his career. Stroman may not be a household name just yet, but being signed to Jordan Brand is indeed a step toward the right direction. Check out Marcus and his latest delivery from Jordan Brand below.
