An On-Feet Look At The Nike Air Pegasus 89 No Sew

NIKE AIR PEGASUS ?89 1 NIKE AIR PEGASUS ?89 2 NIKE AIR PEGASUS ?89 3

The latest version of the Nike Air Pegasus ?89 has surfaced, and what makes this one different compared to others is the fact that this pair comes with a no sew construction.

This modern take on the Nike silhouette utilizes Hyperfuse mesh and synthetic overlays to take the places of the stitching and sewing you normally see on the shoe, giving the vintage shoe a modern appeal. This colorway comes in a white base offset by the black and bright crimson placed throughout. Available internationally, it’s only a matter of time before we see these drop in the states.

Author’s Take

I really like the new sew look because it still manages to have that vintage appeal. Good work on this latest rendition of the Air Pegasus ?89.

Aside from the recent multicolor offering, the Nike Tennis Classic Ultra Flyknit is offered in a classic gym red colorway this season as well.

Simply covering the model’s defining intricately knitted upper which intertwines subtle accents of white to create an aesthetically pleasing combination, the model is further enhanced with tonal leather accents on the Swoosh branding and heel tab for a premium touch.

Further detailed with perforations on the side panels to enable ventilation, the sneaker’s flywire system is nicely emphasized to showcase its overall makeup.

All resting atop a crisp white rubber sole unit, you can find this pair at Nike retailers now for $150.

I’m pretty biased towards this colorway. Red is my favorite color as well. I like this revamped look on the silhouette and it’s a nice lifestyle offering.

It Appears That There May Be No adidas Yeezy Boost Releasing Next Month After All

2015 MTV Video Music Awards - Fixed Show kanye west line

Yesterday it was reported via Hypebeast that the next adidas Yeezy Boost sneaker was expected to release on June 6th which had many people wondering whether it would be the 350, 750 or maybe the new 550 silhouette.

A day later we have some new updates regarding this potential Yeezy Boost release. Highsnobiety has passed on a statement made by new Yeezy President Pete Fox regarding the upcoming Yeezy release and it reads as follows:

?As a first of several launch announcements planned for this year, the highly anticipated YEEZY footwear collection from Kanye West?s own signature line will be released globally on June 6, 2016 in select high-end fashion boutiques, specialty stores and online.?

Notice how the statement does not mention adidas anywhere. This probably means that we’ll be seeing something that was strictly made by Kanye similar to his boot line that was released last Fall. The statement also reads “from Kanye West’s own signature line.” So it looks like no adidas Yeezy Boost in the foreseeable future.

We’ll keep you updated with the latest here at Kicks On Fire.

Another rendition of the Nike SB Stefan Janoski Max is produced for Spring 2016, as the model flaunts a subdued midnight navy finish.

Composed of breathable mesh, the model’s upper is detailed with a tonal wavy-like pattern to emphasize the sneaker’s understated profile, while matching elements are provided by the tongue, laces and Swoosh branding.

All resting atop a white midsole unit with subtle black speckling across, more tonal black is also seen underneath the heel unit. You can find this latest pair at select Nike accounts overseas first.

Author’s Take

I’m pretty biased towards this color combo. It’s versatile enough for every day wear. I’m a fan of the silhouette as well, and this is a solid offering.

Under Armour Signs Bryce Harper To Largest Endorsement Deal In Baseball History

Bryce Harper received his very own signature cleat from Under Armour last month with the Under Armour Harper One. As if things couldn’t get any better for the young MLB MVP, it was just announced that Harper has signed a 10-year extension with the Baltimore-based athletic brand.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell has reported that Harper’s deal with Under Armour “is believed to be the largest endorsement deal in history for a baseball player.” Under Armour announced earlier Tuesday that Harper signed a multiyear extension but said that terms, including the length of the deal and compensation, would not be disclosed.

Under Armour signed Harper in April 2011, 10 months after the Nationals made him the first overall pick in the Major League Baseball draft. Harper has now been locked up to the Under Armour roster for the foreseeable future that already includes NFL MVP Cam Newton, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, Los Angeles Dodgers Pitcher Clayton Kershaw, and of course Golden State Warriors guard and reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry who is signed through 2024 and PGA Tour Player of the Year Jordan Spieth who is under contract through 2025.

What do you think of Under Armour signing Bryce Harper for such a long period of time? Is this a good investment?

The Bodega x Filling Pieces Mountain Cut Ceramic Blue Is Chinese Design Inspired

Bodega & Filling Pieces 1 Bodega & Filling Pieces 2 Bodega & Filling Pieces 3 Bodega & Filling Pieces 4 Bodega & Filling Pieces 5

Boston retailer, Bodega links up with Filling Pieces to bring us a special rendition of the Mountain Cut. Said to be inspired by Chinese design, let’s get a closer look at the Bodega x Filling Pieces Mountain Cut Ceramic Blue.

The Mountain Cut sneaker is called the Ceramic Blue and one look at the shoe and it’s easy to see why. The shoe’s entire upper mimics the look and aesthetics of the traditional porcelain ware. The same/similar print you find on the porcelain ware is placed on the upper as a blue and white colorway take care of the entire shoe. Continuing the theme of the shoe is the white sole and blue laces. Gun metal is used on the eyelets to complete the look of the shoe. Slated to release at Bodega’s online store on May 7th, you will be able to pick up a pair for $250. Hot or not? Sound off below.

Author’s Take

Its a clean looking shoe. I’ve never owned a pair of Filling Pieces sneakers, but the more I see them, the more I like them.

Often overlooked, the New Balance CRT300 has been recently introduced in another new colorway for Spring 2016.

As part of the brand’s “Summer Utility” collection, the court classic model is rendered in a somewhat patriotic palette. Navy is utilized for its nylon and mesh upper, while reddish maroon leather accents are prominent on the signature “N” logo across its side panels and heel tabs.

Furthermore, light blueish shades are applied on the toe box and collar section, as it all rests atop a crisp white midsole unit and classic gum outsole. Priced at $75, you can purchase a pair at select New Balance retailers nationwide now.

I think this silhouette is alright. I haven’t seen a colorway that I really liked though. If you’re a fan, it’s an affordable pair.

The Air Jordan 10 City Pack Will Feature London

Jordan Brand’s Air Jordan 10 City Pack ditched the traditional mid-1990s retro look – one that featured a number of colorways based on NBA teams tailor made for the players that would be wearing the shoe while Mike was busy playing baseball. Instead, this year’s City Collection took inspiration from the lifestyle motifs of major fashion capitals from New York City, Paris, and even Chicago. Today we get word that London will be included in the mix with their very own Air Jordan 10 release. There’s no word yet on what the pair will actually look like other than the brief colorway information of Pure Platinum, Metallic Gold, and Dark Grey throughout and we don’t know if it will be a European exclusive like the Air Jordan 10 “Paris” was. We’ll keep you updated on the Air Jordan 10 “London” in the near future and be on the lookout for this pair to land at international retailers on June 18th.

Chinese Brand Uncle Martian Denies Having Any Similarity To Under Armour

Last week we caught wind of a new Chinese brand that launched known as Uncle Martian. When looking at their logo and their name it was easy to tell that this was a blatant rip-off brand that copied Under Armour.

When Under Armour found out about “Uncle Martian” they claimed that they would be taking action against the Chinese brand for using Under Armour’s “logo, name and other intellectual property.” Uncle Martian has fired back with a pretty ridiculous argument.

?We?re focusing on developing our own brand, and our brand has nothing to do with theirs at all,? Zheng Maoxin, head of the marketing department for Uncle Martian?s parent company said. ?I wouldn?t comment on those online rumors. Our brand has been authorized by the Administration for Industry and Commerce, so how does that not count??

As far as Under Armour contacting Uncle Martian? Well Mr. Maoxin claims that this hasn’t happened yet.

?We haven?t heard from Under Armour yet. They haven?t contacted us about anything.?

We think this is about to get real messy real quick. Stay tuned to Kicks On Fire for more developments on this story.

An On-Feet Look At The Air Jordan 5 Olympic

AIR JORDAN 5 1 AIR JORDAN 5 2 AIR JORDAN 5 3 AIR JORDAN 5 4 AIR JORDAN 5 5 AIR JORDAN 5 6 AIR JORDAN 5 7 AIR JORDAN 5 8 AIR JORDAN 5 9

Although we’re still several months away from the release date, today we came across on-feet images of the Air Jordan 5 Olympic. Let’s take a look at this brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 5 inspired by the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

The shoe starts off with a white leather upper which also includes the side panel netting, laces and eyelets. Contrasting the all-white look are the hits of Black and Gold placed on areas throughout the shoe. The shoe’s most notable feature is without a doubt the Metallic Gold tongue. The use of Metallic Gold is meant to represent the gold medals rewarded to the best of the best during the Olympic games. Completing the look of the shoe is the icy translucent outsole. Price at $190 and scheduled to release on August 13th, let us know if you plan on picking up a pair.

Author’s Take

The gold hits on the shoe are nice, I just wish there was more of them. Adding more gold in places such as the netting, eyelets and/or laces would definitely help give the shoe some more pop.
