They kind of look like utility sandals to me. Not really my style. I don’t think I can pull it off.

Kobe Bryants Career Comes To An End With The Nike Kobe 11 Sunset

Nike Kobe 11 Sunset 1 Nike Kobe 11 Sunset 2

This weekend we’ll be seeing the release of a new colorway of the Nike Kobe 11.

By now it has finally set in and we have come to terms with Kobe Bryant retiring from the NBA. Well at least some us have. As Kobe walks off into the sunset (says goodbye to the NBA), Nike will be releasing a special colorway of the Kobe 11 to represent Kobe’s career coming to an end. The Nike Kobe 11 Sunset features a gradient upper done in engineered mesh that includes Total Crimson, Hyper Violet, and University Gold which draws inspiration from the Los Angeles skies at dusk. Black accents have then been added on the Swoosh, tongue, laces, inner liner and the translucent outsole.

You’ll be able to find the Kobe 11 Sunset at select Nike retailers on June 18, 2016 for a retail price of $160.

Author?s Take

I?ve seen a few different shoes that are meant to resemble a sunset, but this is probably the best one so far. Dope colorway of the Kobe 11 for the Summer.

Our First Look At The Kendrick Lamar x Reebok Classic Neutral Collaboration

Kendrick-Lamar-x-Reebok-Classic-Neutral-1 Kendrick-Lamar-x-Reebok-Classic-Neutral-2 Kendrick-Lamar-x-Reebok-Classic-Neutral-3 Kendrick-Lamar-x-Reebok-Classic-Neutral-4

Once again, Kendrick Lamar is on the verge of releasing another collaboration with Reebok. The first time the two linked up, the collaboration was done on the Ventilator, this time around the focus is on the Reebok Classic. Just like with the Ventilator, the “Neutral” theme is once again utilized on the model. Let’s get a first look at the shoe.

With gang intolerance being the theme and inspiration behind the shoe, each pair will come with a shoe with Blue accents and a shoe with Red accents. The left and right shoe are also half branded as a way to shoe neutrality. The Reebok logo on the side panels only colors in the “K” as an ode to Kendrick Lamar. A White midsole and a gum bottom outsole round out the main features on the shoe. Want a pair? Look for these to arrive at retailers beginning July 15th.

Author’s Take

It’s good to see the collaboration done on a sneaker other than the Ventilator. The Ventilator was on heavy rotation last year, seeing the Reebok Classic get some shine is definitely a good thing.

Over the last week or so we’ve seen lots of the new Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 ever since LeBron James decided to debut the sneaker during the NBA Finals.

After giving you a closer look at the black/red colorway earlier today, we now take a look at a colorway that matches up perfectly with the upcoming 4th of July holiday. This LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 features a blue mesh upper with red detailing on the two bottoms strap, and the Nike and LeBron branding. Finishing up the patriotic look is white on the upper strap, Swoosh and outsole.

Get a first look above and look for the Nike LeBron Zoom Soldier 10 USA to release on July 4, 2016.

Author’s Take

The more I see the Zoom Soldier 10 which is odd because I’m usually not the type who like sneakers without laces and this many strap. This USA colorway is pretty clean. I think it should have had more red though.

Andrew Wiggins To Wear The adidas Crazy Explosive Next Season

Andrew Wiggins and the Minnesota Timberwolves have a lot to look forward to next season. A young core and the addition of Tom Thibodeau will make for an exciting 2016-2017 campaign and that means that adidas Hoops can be even more excited about the explosive tendencies of their young star. A. Wiggins was a proud campaigner of the adidas Crazylight Boost system for the past two seasons and next year he’ll be donning the adidas Crazy Explosive. The pair initially looks like a wrestling boot thanks to a high-arching ankle support system while breathable Primeknit holds down the upper. A Tubular-like midsole unit could even boast Boost technology on the heel for added cushion, but nothing’s been confirmed yet. Check out an alternate Wiggins PE after the break and stay tuned for more of the latest adidas basketball plans right here on Sneaker News.

Is The Nike Air More Uptempo The Best Retro Sneaker Of 2016

Where Nike has every other brand beat is in the Retro category. While NMDs and Currys are outselling Nike’s newer offerings, when it comes to the old-school game, Nike’s dominance is clear. Without any sort of marketing push, shoes like the Air More Uptempo can appear in stores and sell out just as quickly as the hyped Ultra Boosts or the Fire Currys, and those who grew up in the 90s still have a ton of disposable income for whatever else Nike is dropping next (the Spiridons and Talarias are a great example). As you already know, the OG Black/White colorway has already released in stores as did the white/red colorway, but soon to come is the clean white/gum version and in the unforgettable “Olympics” pair that Scottie wore during the 1996 Games in Atlanta. Stay tuned for the release of the latter two and let us know if you feel the Air More Uptempo is the best Retro sneaker of 2016.

We recently got an on-feet look at the upcoming Nike Zoom Spiridon, now we get a closer and more detailed look at the upcoming Europe exclusive release. Nike’s decision to bring back the retro runner has many people pretty excited about it, so it’s a shame that the model won’t b dropping in the U.S..

Being retroed for the second time since its inaugural release back in 1997, the first colorway of the shoe will keep it’s OG aesthetic as a Silver, Black and Red color scheme take care of the shoes upper. A White midsole and Black outsole complete the lower half of the shoe. Without a doubt the Metallic Red Swoosh on the side panels is the model’s most notable feature. Set to release tomorrow exclusively in Europe, we will be sure to let you know if these happen to arrive stateside anytime in the near future.

Author’s Take

Wasn’t really into shoes 20 years ago and I have no recollection of this model. It’s dope to see the shoe make a comeback, but I have no interest in picking it up, even if it dropped in the U.S.
