Even with all of the amazing success of modern silhouettes like the NMD and Tubular line, adidas Originals isn’t forgetting about their vintage basketball catalog, as we can see by this new premium version of the Forum Hi. The Three Stripes re-introduce the classic strapped-up and high-topped hoops shoe this fall with a luxe makeover for the Forum, featuring snakeskin and carp scale upper. The adidas Y-3 Qasa Hi Arrives In Equipment Green

Yohji Yamamoto’s adidas Y-3 line is back with shades from the three stripe’s 90s running days. The adidas Y-3 Qasa Hi shines in a new “Equipment Green” colorway inspired by the teal/greenish hue that turned heads on the adidas EQT Support OG.

This isn’t the first time that the signature shade of the adidas EQT retro line has been utilized by Yohji Yamamoto’s label either, as the adidas Y-3 Kohna recently released in a monochromatic Equipment Green.

Here a premium combination of black neoprene and charcoal grey nubuck adds a tonal finish to the Qasa Hi. The lockdown support through the overlaying straps returns while a luxurious buttery nubuck adds subtle contrast on the toe and heel panels. The signature EQT Green adds some depth on the midsole and heel support. European shops like The Good Will Out have already started stocking this pair, so stay tuned for stateside availability in the near future.

adidas-ultra-boost-metallic-pack- 2 adidas-ultra-boost-metallic-pack- 3 adidas-ultra-boost-metallic-pack-1

It’s been a good minute since any of us have been excited for an adidas Ultra Boost release. As of late, the Uncaged version has taken the spotlight, but in a couple of days the original Ultra Boost will once again be the topic of discussion when adidas drops the highly anticipated adidas Ultra Boost Medal Pack.

The adidas Ultra Boost Medal Pack is obviously Olympic-inspired as the Black (and Grey) tonal Primeknit uppers are accompanied by the hits of Gold, Silver or Bronze located on the heel counter of the shoe. All three pairs appear to come in gradient fashion, with the Silver pair being the most noticeable one. Now, about the price. Typically, the Ultra Boost retails for $180, but being that the Medal Pack is considered “premium”, it’s going to cost you $20 extra dollar to pick up a pair. Priced at $200 and releasing tomorrow, which pair are you looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below.

Author’s Take

I’m obviously not happy about the $20 extra dollars, but I don’t think it should be a deal breaker for anyone looking to get a pair. With that being said, I still have my eye on the Black and Gold pair.

You can’t go wrong with classics and this pack is a nice theme overall. I’ll have to side with the Defiant since it’s the most appealing offering to me.

Last offered in all-red, the newly-introduced adidas Tubular Invader is now offered in a subdued finish of onix for its latest iteration this season.

Comprised of smooth suede across its sleek upper, miniature perforations are also applied on the toe box to ensure sufficient ventilation, while the recognizable three-stripe branding adorns its side panels. Preview: Welcome To The adidas NMD Revolution (Part 2)

Are you ready for your NMD re-up? The adidas NMD is still months away from celebrating its first birthday and already the shoe has garnered classic status from the sneakerhead community and the general public at large. As times and tastes change, who knew that a sleek silhouette that’s designed for everyday use with a minimalist tone and obscene comfort would become such a hit with everybody? While there is still room for the loud and colorful and whatever Kanye West has up his sleeve, chances are you’re going to see 10 people wearing a pair of NMDs of any flavor before you run into somebody wearing a pair of Yeezys. And that’s just for now, that ratio might soon grow in adidas Original’s favor if NMD Day Part 2 is anywhere near the success of the original

Back in March, adidas NMD Day Part 1 featured nearly 20 different configurations that sold out as fast as they came in. In the preceding months, we have seen a few restocks and new colorways drop here and there, but August 18 is shaping up as another big day in the three stripes calendar with no less than 19 NMDs (with more possibly coming if you’re counting…) slated to drop in the US. From new R1s with textile and reflective uppers to additional XR1 releases, there’s going to be something for all the NMD fans out there, not to mention those who have been waiting for jump on the train for a while now.

Rita Ora and adidas Originals Return For Fall 2016 Collection

Rita Ora and adidas Originals are a match made in heaven. The UK songstress has built a number of solid collaborative efforts over these past two years with the trefoil brand, and her signature graphic-heavy style has helped revitalize adidas’ lifestyle imprint with strong women exclusive apparel and footwear releases. Today we get a look at the upcoming Rita Ora adidas Originals Fall 2016 collection featuring the adidas Tubular Defiant, the adidas Stan Smith, and the adidas Superstar.

adidas Originals has dubbed Rita the queen of color, and the latest Fall 2016 collection shows this inspiration through deep maroon shades, just the right amount of pastel pink, and a heavy dose of navy blue. A speckled confetti camouflage contrasts floral accents throughout as the Tubular Defiant utilizes premium suede and mesh for an athletic yet casual twist. Color Paint kaleidoscope visions add to the overall aesthetic as does oversized floral pedals. The playfully sophisticated collection will be available via adidas on August 18th. Check out the Rita Ora adidas Originals lookbook after the break.

adidas NMD Release Preview For August 26th In Europe

adidas Originals has unleashed NMD Madness for the month of August. We’re well familiar with the upcoming release slate of 19 NMD pairs headed to select stateside retailers on August 18th, but what about those of you dwelling overseas? We have some good news, as select colorways of both the adidas NMD R1 and the adidas NMD XR1 will arrive at European outlets on August 26th.

The adidas NMD has been the perfect silhouette for summer thanks to a combination of a breathable, lightweight (and sometimes woven) upper and the patented Boost cushioning system that’s helped revitalize both the trefoil brand’s running and lifestyle imprints. Today we get a look at five original NMD releases, each ditching the Primeknit for a breathable mesh textile complete with subdued colorways of grey, black and white. A Triple White will even be available later this month for those of you looking to carry over the popular Ultra Boost aesthetic.

The NMD XR1 is a bit more complicated in construction thanks to an added cage overlay complete with a mesh side panel. A Primeknit woven upper adds a sock-like fit in the latest women’s exclusive “Glitch Pack” featuring a digitized camouflage in grey or navy.

Be sure to check out the full rundown of 19 adidas NMD pairs releasing on August 18th and if you happen to live in Europe, know that more colorways are coming your way on August 26th.
