The adidas Tubular Instinct Adopts The Triple-Black Motif
By SoleInsider
The adidas Tubular Instinct is back in black. We’ve seen this lifestyle-minded Tubular silhouette benefit from premium suede constructions and a collaboration with Mastermind Japan in past months, but we’ve yet to see any release don this synthetic Kurim-like upper, until now.
The adidas Tubular series has been one of the trefoil brand’s strongest ongoing namesakes for well over two years now, and the models continue to change with the seasons to maximize the Tubular’s popularity. The adidas Tubular Instinct “Triple Black” adds a durable triangular 3D construction throughout with a rubberized finish for maximum weather resistance while additional herringbone traction now extends up the midsole for a unique twist. This lifestyle-ready wear also benefits from a Yeezy-like heel construction, rope laces, and suede details on the tongue for a premium finish.
Check out more detailed shots of the latest adidas Tubular model and know that international spots like Solebox have this pair in-stock right now.
In this business, you receive just about everything in the mail and I don’t mean sneakers. We’ve had lockers, cell phones, iPads, bobbleheads, popcorn and more all delivered to our doorstep. Looks like we can now check “diecast ’67 Impala model” off the list now…
Recently, L.A. icons Snoop Dogg and Mark Gonzales unveiled their collaborative capsule collection with adidas Skateboarding. Featuring a variety of apparel that speaks to Los Angeles culture and the unique “L.A. Stories” that can only be told by the people who lived here at the height of late ’80s and early ’90s skate and hip-hop boom, the collection is highlighted by the Snoop x Gonz adidas Matchourt Mid. We got that in the KoF Mailbox over the weekend, but to top it off, we also received an American Muscle ’67 Chevy Impala diecast model (I’m no car expert, btw, I just looked it up on Google…).

Having gotten a preview of this upcoming colorway of the adidas Harden Vol. 1, we now have release information as well as a name for the sneaker.
This black & gold colorway of the Harden Vol. 1 is being known as the “Imma Be A Star” colorway and takes inspiration a letter that James Harden wrote to his mother that read “Imma Be A Star.” The shoe comes covered in black throughout the majority of the upper and is constructed out of Primeknit and suede. Providing a look of luxury are hits of gold on the Primeknit upper, and the branding on the heel and tongue. A smoky black translucent midsole/outsole complete the look.
Look for the adidas Harden Vol. 1 Imma Be A Star at select adidas retailers on November 23rd 2016 for $140.
Leave your friends green with envy by picking up this seasonal colorway of the adidas Gazelle. Known as the adidas Gazelle Collegiate Green, let’s get a close-up look of the shoe via these on-feet images.
The adidas Gazelle is nicely done in a Collegiate Green suede upper. The tonal look of the shoe is broken up by the hits of Black noted on the tongue, heel, laces and Three Stripes branding, all which appear to come in leather fashion. Additional features on the shoe include the gold foil Gazelle branding on the lateral side and the White rubber sole unit. Available internationally, expect these to arrive stateside in the near future.
Green sneakers have began to grow on me. This one looks amazing thanks in large part to the shade of Green placed on the upper. I like it, I like it a lot!

Buy, Pass, Wait: Air Jordan 9 Kobe, adidas NMD, Under Armour Curry 3 Dub Nation
By SoleInsider
Welp, it looks like the Kicks On Fire staff is taking a break this week as they prepare for the craziness that is about to ensue over the next few weeks as the holidays sneaker release season is upon us. How do we know this? Because in this week’s edition of Buy, Pass, Wait, only one of our editors broke out with a “BUY” recommendation. Is that a condemnation on this week’s releases or are we all just bracing ourselves for a busy month and a half of heat dropping until the years ends? See for yourself…
Air Jordan 9 Kobe Bryant
Nike
Juan Martinez, Editor-In-Chief: (WAIT) It might do well in Los Angeles where Kobe is still king, but I have a feeling this will sit in stores especially as people are starting to save up for the apocalypse the upcoming flood of holiday releases. Jordan Brand messed up by not having either “8” or “24” on the heel. That tiny nod would have made all the difference between somebody (ok, maybe just me) buying them right away or waiting for a price drop.
Renz Ofiaza, News: (PASS) It’s a nice commemoration for one of the all-time greats. I’m not too keen on it, but, this should be something to look forward to for die-hard fanatics of Kobe.
Juan Carrillo, News: (PASS) It has the name “Kobe” in it, so that alone should make the shoe garner some extra attention. With that being said, I don’t think I’ve ever come across an Air Jordan 9 that I felt was a must-have. I respect Kobe and all, but I’m okay with not having this release.
Andres Carrillo, News: (PASS) Come on Jordan Brand, you knew we all wanted the Air Jordan 3 instead of this, but I guess we don’t always get what we want. I mean they should have at least put the “8” on the heel. If I were a hardcore Kobe fan I would probably buy this shoe, but since I’m not I’ll just admire from afar.
Packer Shoes x adidas NMD
Solebox
EIC Juan: (BUY) Hey look, NMDs can look awesome in color after all. We’ve been bombarded with monochromatic and muted colorways of the NMD ever since they debuted late last year that it’s nice to finally see some bright hues pop the silhouette. The pattern made them appear like they were mesh at first but now that I realize it’s a Primeknit release I might have to make a few calls to make this happen for me.
Renz: (PASS) I’m an advocate for the silhouette and color blocking theme is cool. I’m not too tempted in owning a pair, although, I would consider buying to resell, haha.
News Juan: (PASS) It’s a bit on the bold side, but taking a good look at it, I’m not sure if this is a colorway I’d wear often. I know the colors are inspired by the athletic apparel from the 80s, and I am an 80’s child, but to be quite honest, it’s still not enough reason for me to want to get a pair.
Andres: (PASS) I like the fact that this is a Primeknit NMD, but I don’t like the colors used on the shoe. They’re just too all over the place.
Nike Air Cruz Light Bone
Nike
EIC Juan: (WAIT) My appreciation for the Cruz has grown with each release, but I still need that colorway that will make me pull the trigger on a purchase. I can see myself rocking this light colored drop, but they could also be a dirt trap that bothers me to no end if they don’t look pristine. Yes, I’m a neat freak, don’t judge…
Renz: (PASS) It’s one of the best variations of the silhouette so far in my opinion. I guess I’m just biased towards the neutral shade. That rear strap just bothers me though.
News Juan: (PASS) I’ve never been a big fan of this particular model, and if I ever were to get a colorway of this model, it’s be one with a little bit more pop to it. I feel like the colorway lacks a little pop to it.
Andres: (PASS) I’ve had my eye on the Air Cruz since it made it debut last year, but I still haven’t seen that one colorway to make me buy a pair. I’ll just continue to wait it out longer.
Under Armour Curry 3 Dub Nation
UA
EIC Juan: (WAIT) I’m still not completely sold on Steph’s third signature shoe unlike his first two which were must-haves for me right away. That being said, there’s something cool about the Currys whenever they take on the colors of Steph’s team and this one is no different. I’m still holding off for now – maybe when the price drops – but if a Splash Brothers colorway drops that pops a little bit more, watch out.
Renz: (PASS) The colorway is appealing and should garner attention for those who support the team greatly. I’m just not interested on this silhouette, although, I do appreciate its simple profile.
News Juan: (PASS) I’m a Pacers fan so you know I’m a fan of the colorway, but the UA Curry 3 has yet to come out with a colorway I’d consider buying. This one is not an exception. Damn, it looks like I passed on every shoe this week. Ah, what are you gonna do, ha.
Andres: (PASS) Not really a fan of the Curry 3 so far. If I were to buy a pair it would have to be something more neutral that I could wear more often.

Have A Look At The adidas Tubular Instinct Triple Black
By SoleInsider
Up next for the adidas Tubular Instinct is this Triple Black colorway of the model that helps give the shoe it’s sleekest look yet. Although the model is fairly new, adidas is putting extra effort into making it one of their best Tubular models. Let’s get a closer look at the shoe.
The adidas Tubular Instinct Triple Black’s most unique feature is the triangular pattern placed all across the upper. A suede-like material appears on the tongue, while the shoe appears to also come with waxed-laces. A tonal Black Tubular sole and the Trefoil branding on the tongue help give the shoe a minimalist aesthetic. The shoe can already be found at select international retailers, we will let you know once it arrives stateside. Hot? Let us know in the comments below.
I really like the triangular pattern placed all across the upper. The model itself is nice, and this coming from someone who really doesn’y mess with Tubular silhouettes.
